It's a hidden gem in PDX area for delicious, consistent quality and flavor, never reheated from frozen Dim Sum 7 days a week! Go check them out!I have been eating here on and off since 2016. Started in late 2021 to present, I slowly came back for selective items on their big menu because we moved to Portland and only live 12 minutes away. It's a small family owned restaurant. Most staff speak 2-3 languages: English, Vietnamese, and Chinese (I can't tell you which dialect because I don't speak Chinese)! You will recognize familiar faces if you come here more than once. It's a good place for big group gatherings and you can be loud here over food, not alcohol. This 5 stars review is for:1. Local family owned.2. Fresh, delicious, and consistent quality for Dim Sum at a very reasonable price, unlike the overrated reheated from frozen spot right down a few blocks which I will not need to named here. 3. For reason #2, Thien Hoang is our go to spot for monthly Dim Sum with friends!4. Deep fried taro dumplings with stuffed mashed taro and ground pork is my all time favorite Dim Sum and it makes fresh here!5. My comfort custom made to order dry egg noodles stir fry with soy sauce with or without veggies and add any protein you want or not. Their big menu is mixed with traditional and comfort Vietnamese food, Chinese food, and some cross over. I ate pretty much most of the well known dishes. Overall rating of their dishes, I would give it 3/5. Items I have eaten: bún riêu, cá kho tộ/caramelized catfish in clay pot, canh chua cá/Vietnamese sweet and sour soup, several clay pot dishes, Vietnamese salads, and beef broccoli. Some of my favorite dishes here are 5/5: fried taro balls, dry stir fry egg noodles with soy sauce, seafood congee (Vietnamese style), garlic stir fry rau muốn, and garlic stir fry snow peas leaves. Perks: -Hot tea is complementary.-No automatic service charge for big group so make sure you tip them good, 20% or more, and as always cash is the preferred method for tip!

First, the big negative: one of the sketchiest parking lots in the city. I kept checking on my car and walked members of our party to theirs. Once you can get beyond that then this is a very good Chinese-Vietnamese offering. I much prefer this than a pure Chinese restaurant as the drink selection is hands down better, the seafood a cut-above, and service shines. The gigantic whole fried catfish was the star of the show. Too many dishes to list, but the short ribs and clams were excellent. It's an overall value play.Good place for large parties. And no automatic gratuity and health fee BS.

What a beautiful place to eat at! The best service, the music and the food is exceptional! My grandma and I ordered pho and my grandpa ordered chicken with noodles. Our appetizer was shrimp tempura which was delicious with the sauce they provided! Thank you so much for the care and love used to make our food!!!

We came in for dinner for a group of 6 on a Saturday night right at 5pm. There were maybe a few tables but not yet super busy (as it did later while we were dining). They seated us immediately, gave us water, and left us sitting for about 15 mins. No menus. No one came to check on us. There were maybe two other big tables that they were tending to. I went to the front to ask for menus, the guy seemed shocked and apologetic that menus weren't distributed to us yet. Otherwise, staff were friendly, refilled waters and tea throughout dinner. For the food... the sweet & sour pork spare ribs were delicious, lightly breaded, and tender, however, that was probably the only thing that was really enjoyable. A few mediocre dishes to follow, but i would definitely recommend not ordering the salt and pepper squid here (i know! A staple dish) very bland, and the squid was hard.

Growing up in Portland, this restaurant has been a staple but I haven't visited for the past couple of years until recently. The restaurant is spacious inside, with lots of seating so that it's perfect for big parties. The staff the whole time was very quick and nice. When I went, we ordered a number of dishes to share family-style. One thing I really appreciate about this spot is that there's a nice blend of Vietnamese-Chinese food and it offers a large variety of dishes that aren't typically offered at Portland restaurants. All of their dishes were pretty good, but I wouldn't say that quality was the same across all dishes. Some were saltier than they should be and others were more bland than I would expect--it just depends on your order. However, the spot is overall a good spot for a nice meal with a big group and to enjoy some Viet-Chinese food family-style!

First rate. Great food, terrific service, very clean! Hot and sour soup was served with lunch, full of tofu and vegetables, and just the right amount of heat. All three lunches were delicious, I wouldn't change a thing. We also had potstickers, they were deep fried, I'll forgive them for that, anyway the filling was excellent. I will be going back. Sorry Golden Dynasty, you've lost us, this is closer and maybe a little bit better!

This was my second time here, the first time I got Bun Rieu for takeout and it was very flavorful. Brought my partner D here for lunch, we each tried one dimsum, I got the chicken feet and he got the stuffed bean curd. They actually were both quite tasty and bigger than Good World's dim sum. I got the seafood transparent noodle soup and D got the duck noodle soup. Turns out the duck noodle soup was a cold shredded duck salad with a hot vermicelli noodle soup! It was huge and really interesting flavors. My seafood ns was just as expected and it was a clear broth that I've added some white pepper to enhance the flavor. The staff speak Cantonese even though they're Vietnamese and provided really good customer service. The tables next to us had elder friends who were enjoying their tea and dim sum and shooting the sh*t. Solid food and I did see quite a few things on the menu I would come back and try!

We came in just before leaving to the airport. I have to say this is the best place for Vietnamese food during our entire trip in Oregon. The owner and their staff were really nice and thoughtful. We felt welcomed here. Make sure to try their Vietnamese sweet & sour soup. And also their price is very reasonable(we have 6 people and our bill is around $120 for a lotttt of food). 10/10 and will be back when we are in Portland.
