Wind Horse has done a great job of adapting to Covid 19.The store is run in an orderly manner. The rules are clearly communicated and make sense. Everyone is required to wear masks. When I've been there no more than four people have been allowed in at one time. It's really clear where to stand and where not to stand. They serve Cafe Umbria coffee which I love. They have stevia and several milk options. They have gotten great at acquiring new items like Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches. This was super convenient, especially at the beginning of Covid. They also usually have donuts on the weekends. The breakfast sandwich I had several months ago was great.I'm glad they are in the neighborhood and hope they stay in business.

I have tried I think about 5 times to give this business a chance and each time the customer service is non existent. Here was my experience yesterday. I walked in and an older gentleman was at the register. I said, "Hi, how're you doing?"He replied "good"Awkward pause I said "ok I'll have an vanilla iced breve with an extra shot please" He puts my order in the register. The gal working with him makes my drink and he tells me my total but I noticed he didn't add the extra shot so I mentioned it again and he said "oh yeah let me add that in there" doesn't say oh shoot sorry I missed that or even say hey thanks for being honest and catching that. I also was confused because the last time I ordered this it was 9.85 but today it was 6 something. Anyways he hands me my change and again no verbal exchange and continues chatting with his coworker and as I'm grabbing my drink I say "you guys have a nice day!"They replied "thanks"I know the times are different but I really was trying to support a small local business rather than getting ditch brothers everyday. My latte was delicious but out of the times I've tried this place my coffee was stellar 2/5 times Customer service has been bad 5/5 timesThat was my last time trying unfortunately and I hope y'all can work on thisEdited to Reply:I did not order a bagel I'm stating that my coffee was $9 a couple days prior and that day in my review it was 6 something 5/5 times service was bad and it seems like most of your responses to reviews you just gaslight the customer and say it's not typical or they must be mistaken. Again that is terrible customer service.

My coworker who also lives in Milwaukie suggested we meet for coffee. Since my beloved SpringCreek Coffee house closed, I suggested we visit the Wild Horse Coffee shop instead. The service was nice, knowledgeable and friendly. I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to eggs - the vegan brownie was thick, rich, and flavorful and I couldn't even tell it was Vegan. My buddy picked some sort of muffin which he really enjoyed. Our drinks were pricey but this is 2024 and EVERYTHING is more expensive now. My buddy did wonder if he could get a refill due to the cost but I told him I doubted it and that was that. The cafe is filled with experiences, treasures from all over the place. If you like ambiance you'll enjoy your visit. There is amble seating with tall chairs, short seats some comfier than others. It was packed when we arrived and in the corner sat an elderly woman all alone with 3 other chairs in her setting. We asked politely if we might join her and we struck up a brief conversation. Enjoying our coffee and treats, my buddy and I directed our talk amongst ourselves and the woman left. That would have been 5 stars. But as our drinks came to an end and we finished our treats, my buddy and I continued our lively talk as the patrons came and went. There was plenty of seating available for the next crowd that entered. And then the owner walked up, made a remark that I won't type and it offended my buddy because in a nutshell we were told to leave. Three stars - you're lucky it's not one star. We paid the price to "rent that table". Given there were no verbal instructions from the establishment you're not welcome when the owner deems you've stayed too long it was assumed we could visit. We will never go back.

GROSS! Two Sunday morning staff members were snacking directly from over the food preparation station. I had to interrupt their eating for a lid to the beverage that I served myself. I called the Health Department.

Cute bustling coffee shop in downtown Milwaukie. Easy parking in the public lot adjacent to the shop or on the street. I had a grilled cheese and dulce de leche latte, as well as a piece of cranberry walnut bread for later. The latte was definitely star of the show. Great flavor while also letting the espresso shine, too. Friendly service. Would definitely return!

A small coffee shop located in the Milwaukie area that you can easily miss if you weren't looking for it. The interior is small and cozy with a friendly staff. The staff was pretty quick at getting the orders out.

I love this place, it's been part of downtown milwaukie for a long time. It's atmosphere is cozy and warm, and the food and drinks are good. I usually choose this cafe over others in the area if giving the choice because the baristas are all really nice and make delicious drinks. I enjoy the southwestern decor, and friendly vibe of this place. Highly recommend stopping here for a drink and a bite.

It's a pretty nice place and seems to fill up quickly. The baristas are great. But I realized I should double check that they have my order correct. Last time I got something very similar to my request but it was sweetened and I can't do sweetened, so I just let it go this time.

Stopped here for a quick coffee after the farmers market. I wasn't blown away by the latte I got but it was a cute store and the staff was kind. I probably wouldn't go back just for the coffee because I prefer some other places but it's a great choice if you are in the area! They also have pastries and bagels.

It's fine. A note that the outlets are welded off/there aren't any outlets available as to deter WiFi squatters (and I assume embrace the older generation that makes up the bulk of its patrons). This is fine/is their prerogative, but it feels like when you're already charging for refills after one(!) you're shooing away the WiFi squatters anyway. The prices are pretty high, which would be more forgivable if the tip selection didn't START at 20%. This is the owner's way of putting the cost of living onus onto the patrons instead of themselves, which isn't very nice and is just going to increase his turnover. But the food is good and the ambience is nice if you're just coming to read and kill sometime. I can't help but think with Milwaukie taking off as much as it is, it's only a matter of time before a more loiter-friendly cafe springs up and siphons some business.
