The Waterfront Taphouse

The food and drinks were excellent the couple times I have been there. The service was excellent. The views were amazing.

I recently had a business dinner with consultants from throughout the US as well as Canada. We often select a place along the waterfront as it's geared towards tourists. A total of 12 in our party and 4 of us ordered the Stuffed Steelhead, yet not one of us found any of what it was supposed to be stuffed with. It was cooked well and the presentation was nice, but the lack of Brie, crab, and shrimp was disappointing. It felt like that piece of the meal was just left off for some reason.

Went here with a friend one night and unfortunately the service was not good at all. We originally were seated outside which was beautiful but quickly became way too cold (that was our bad for asking to sit outside and not being bundled up). We quickly decided we wanted to switch back to a table inside but we could not get a server to help us out for almost a full 30 minutes. Finally once we did get someone's attention it too another 20 minutes for us to get moved (again partially our fault but also it shouldn't have taken so long for someone to greet us at our table). Once seated inside though it took another 20 or so minutes for our water and server to come. No one seemed to really care that we waited so long or even apologized for the extended wait. The food was good. I want to comeback to try again. Maybe the service was a fluke that day. It was a week night and sunny but not super busy. Hoping next time will be better.

We hit the Vancouver Downtown waterfront section while here visiting and saw this place. Had gorgeous views of the water and tons of lighting. It gives off a very elegant vibe inside, but it's just your standard brewery with views. We had went when they opened and were seated immediately. Not a ton of menu options but seemed like they had a lot of alcohol options of course lol. I will say overall the 4 of us were not impressed with the food. It wasn't bad at all just maybe a little blah in flavor for our liking. We all agreed a rating of 3.5 stars. We would not order the same items we got and if we did come back may go with another option but again it's limited and I'm a picky eater. Others around us enjoyed it. I will say portion sizes on some of the items were huge (nachos and salads) and other items just a small or standard size portion. Here's what we ordered. Shrimp Po'Boy - not bad he said but he would order something different next timeBBQ cheeseburger plain (no veggies) - the meat was so blah and Charcoaled that no sauce helped cover the taste. I would not order that again. Wings - he liked them but would want to try something else next time. Fries - delicious! We were all agreeable on the fries! If you like brewery's give the place a try, it just wasn't a place for us to want to rush back to or that fit our tastebuds. Service was fine.

Has such an amazing experience with a large group here. Let's be honest, eating out with a large group can be daunting and as the check comes around sometimes a pain BUT our waitress was awesome! First off the VIEW is amazing and the entire staff was so kind & helpful when it came to taking pictures and going outside. The sunset was UNREAL! There was plenty to offer on the menu for everyone. We got a wide variety of food from mac & cheese, elote, pizza, salads, burgers... they had something for everyone.The spicy margarita with a tajin rim was awesome!We enjoyed our meal and the view!

SECRET: Try to come on a weekday, as it can get crowded and long waits on the weekends. Nice venue, near the waterfront. If it's nice out, grab an outdoor patio table. We came on a perfectly gorgeous, sunny day. View was awesome. Friendly hostess and server. Never been before so it was a nice, overall experience. We had gone a little overboard with ordering. Had the corn dog and onion ring appetizers, a Bauman's cider, and a Trap Door ipa. For our main, we ordered the fish & chips, fish tacos, and the pulled pork tacos. All were excellent, though in my opinion, the chips (fries) were not great. Because they were so fat, they tasted more like a baked potato than a French fry. Other than that, everything was good. Took a stroll on the waterfront after, which is the star of the area. Again, be cautious about weekends as both crowds and highway traffic will bum you out a little. But great area. Fun vibe overall.

Nice waterfront location in Vancouver, the scenery and ambience were so nice, very peaceful setting. We tried the calamari, French dip and fish tacos, and they were all very good. Compared to other options here, the price is reasonable and the service was outstanding.

We were trying to enjoy a nice sunny day and that led us to the Vancouver waterfront. After walking we decided that we wanted to get a pint and the taphouse seemed the best option. Decent beer selection, no problem there. We were asked about seating and it was a nice day so we opted for outside. It wasn't actually ideal because the sun was in our eyes but it was okay. We were looking for food but nothing really struck our fancy and we were just going to get a pint and leave. Shortly after we got our beers we were told that we have to order food if we want to sit outside. I've never been told I had to order anything from a restaurant before and certainly not to sit in their regular seating. The time to tell us is when we were being seated because in all honesty, we would have gone next door to the wine bar. It's a weird requirement just to sit somewhere (not that special) and I feel like if I'm spending money it shouldn't matter on what anyway. So after being told that we went inside to finish our beers so we could leave. Can't say I'd ever return.

THE VIEWS. Stunning. Highly recommend this place. Loved the halibut fish and chips too. Beer selection was great and service was great. I would highly recommend coming here!

Mikey was our server tonight and was AMAZING! We enjoyed the food (stuffed steelhead and Mahi mahi) and sitting on the patio was great. When it comes down to it, the service made the night!! Give Mikey a raise!!
