Best food we've had in Portland, and Portland is a great food city! None of us are vegans, but this vegan menu was absolutely delicious. Dining on their beautiful outdoor patio under hanging wicker lights, we had the unsauced "fried chicken" strips w super sauce and curry ketchup. The crispy crust was so delicious, both sauces were both perfect and different foils to the other. We shared the smash burger and fries and I was wondering-this melty cheese isn't vegan, right? The patties were thin w crispy edges and so much flavor I thought next time I might eat it without a bun. But the bun was delicious, so, I just don't know...We also shared the shishito peppers. Can't describe them, but get them. Don't like spicy peppers? Not a problem. Get them.And I'm not even talking about those cocktails...Violet, thanks for the great recommendations and fantastic service!

Outstanding vegan smash burger. I'm not vegan and almost always avoid vegan cheeses. But I was thankfully wrong about how good vegan cheese burgers can be. The burger itself had that fatty burger mouthfeel with the creamy and melted texture of genuine American cheese slices. I wish I had taken a picture of it. We also had the vegan chicken hot honey sandwich. This too was outstanding. The tender patty was thicker than I've seen anywhere else and so crunchy. It was all we could talk about. No beverages this time. Looking forward to coming back to try slushies.

The Uncanny is amazing! It looks like you're walking into a haunted house, and in the bathroom, they have a mirror that makes you look like a ghost!The bar itself is very cool, the kind of place you want to hang out. The people who work are there are super nice, friendly, and accommodating. There's plenty of outdoor seating in front and to the side. There's even a fireplace out front for cold days. As of the summer 2024, they have been collabing with Grass Fed PDX and Dinger's Deli to serve vegan lunch 11am-4pm Thurs-Sun and vegan dinner 4pm-1am everyday. The cheezsteak hoagie I ordered for lunch was SO GOOD. You must go here if you haven't been. So so good.

I loved coming here. The atmosphere at night has very romantic vibes, and outside it has that bend vibe, pretty awesome. Love the decor inside. The service was pretty amazing, bartender knew their drinks. This place has a pretty nice list of cocktails with cool names. I ordered the prowl by night and it was a really good ass drink. I will definitely be making the uncanny one of my favorite places to visit.

Atmosphere, food and cocktail quality, and service were all top notch. Can't wait to come back here!

Have been to The Uncanny several times and it's always exactly what I want for happy hour or a night out. Bar hopping on Mississippi always means a stop by for fries and drinks. The servers are always super friendly and service is good no mater how busy they've been. Also - such a great vibe! The bathrooms are so cool, their outdoor seating is fun and heated, and inside is great (even though I usually end up sitting outside).

We stop here on the way to a show at Mississippi studios. We ordered the Beif nachos to pair with our drinks. My husband had the Major Tom, while I throughly indulged in the Painsicle! Our drinks were served quickly and shortly after our food arrived. We enjoyed the front patio during golden hour. Definitely one of our favorite spots and we will be back soon with company!

To be clear, one of my pet peeves in this world is when a place is super cool on Instagram, and doesn't hold up in real life. This is such a place. The service is just okay, and not welcoming or friendly by any means. My cocktail was a bit on the pricier side and was overall not that enjoyable. The vibe was also too on the sad side for my tastes. We came in with maybe too high of expectations, but I would skip it and try something else on Mississippi Ave.

Okay. Incredible vibe, design, energy, ambiance. It's such a cool venue. And granted, I only had two cocktails. But the Prowl By Night is the worst cocktail I've ever had in my life. And I'm not trying to be malicious. I work in the industry and I love funky drinks. But I think whoever crafted this cocktail went two (three, maybe even four) ingredients too far. It's sour in a bad way. Cinnamon and Clarified Coconut Milk are NOT giving what they need to give. I'm dying to get the taste out of mouth. And I'm sorry :( I'm sure there are plenty of other great cocktails. Also the service was great and the bartender was so nice! I would come back! But that cocktail is just... not for me at least!

Cool spot with creative cocktails. I enjoyed the outside patio and convenient location off Mississippi.The only detraction was the DJ - he was simply too loud. It made conversations difficult.
