The Rockin' Crab & Boiling Pot

My review can only speak to the boiling pot and rockin' spicy wings. Food: 3.5/5 and 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: Casual Value: 3.5/5For me the boiling pot was a 3.5. It serves its purpose when you're craving Taiwanese hot pot, but the ingredients feel too simple like it can easily be made at home. I'll continue to come here for hot pot, but if boiling point were ever to come to Portland, I'd go there instead. Value wise, I think it's a bit pricier than I'd like it, driving my rating. The wings though, were a 5/5. Great flavor and actually not that spicy at all. Perfect crispness. Would definitely order these again. At the price they are at the time of my review, I think it's a good value.

absolutely AMAZING for....... IF YOURE A MILLIONAIRE . All I wanted to do is take the teenagers to a CRAB-BOWL kinda place. Knowing it was going to be more on the expensive side- I "thought".... That's OK, they deserve it. BUT HOLY CRAP I almost passed out when I saw the BILL. So first off, it's not real clear (especially if you've never been there before) on exactly what comes with what. There's no menu that states look here's a crab bowl- it comes with little corns, potatoes, etc and here's the prices. It had it all individually listed and priced. By the time u put everything that would be in a regular crab bowl it was $400! Now if we were at the Taj Mahal I would understand, but we were at a little hole in the wall, leather bench seats that were held together with duct tape, and a very sticky table.Now, if you don't care about how much you spend or that it's LITERALLY a "hole in the wall" kinda place...with duct tape seating and great food- THEN BY ALL means- go for it!!! Don't get Me wrong, I LOVE hole in the wall places, and that's why we went- but THANK GOD I had the money to pay for it bcuz there was absolutely NO WAY to know how much it was going to be until you received the ck. So bottom line: was it good food?ABSOLUTELY amazing. Was it worth $400 for 1 adult and 2 teenagers who had never eaten crawfish before and didn't finish the massive leftovers we brought hmm? NO- not a chanceWill I personally return? No. Maybe to glance at the really hot waiter we had, that the kids were teasing Me about, but that's about it. The price was shockingly expensive. Nice people and staff but NOT worth the price. Or having to "guess" at what ur bill will be. So if u go here for CRAB BOWLS in particular- you've been forewarned :-) just bring ALOT of cash and expect to be seated in benches with duct tape so don't wear anything NICE or expensive or just TAKE IT TO GO -which comes in a big "bag" that looks like a garbage bag. I'm giving it 3 stars bcuz IT DID have good food- but d@mnnnnn!

Celebrated my birthday with my family at the rocking crab and boiling pot. I do have to say service was great our waitress was very attentive. On the other hand for the food I wasn't a fan, their Cajun spicy seasonings were not very good. One thing I didn't take a picture of, but we actually ordered two orders was their chicken wings now those were phenomenal. Very crispy! Very juicy! Indoor decor was nice and cute.

Always wanted to try this place since I go eat at O-Sushi's AYCE frequently and Rockin' Crab is just next door. Immediately upon entering, I love the environment. It has a nice dim woody atomosphere, setting itself apart from most restaurants already. They also have a neat wooden board beside each table where you can write your name down.So for food we ordered Tom Yum Pot, Chicken Wings, and then the seafood. The Hot Pot in my opinion wasn't worth getting. It came with very little meat and mostly vegetables, nothing special. The chicken wings are standard fried wings tossed in sauce. Now the Seafood bag we got were clams, mussels, and shrimp. THIS sauce mix was probably the best crab and bag seasoning I ever had. It came with such a distinct and aromic flavor I never had before. This is the only thing I would ever come back for, nothing else is special.Service was standard as well, so overall a happy experience and will come back.

The food here is amazing. I'm a huge fan of Taiwanese Spucy Hor Soup. My girlfriend loves the Rockin Combo Bag the sauce is incredible. We come here about once a week.

Pretty good however their hot hot spice is more tangy than hot. Service can be slow due to understaffing. Always clean and well lit.

I don't really recommend their hotpot's. It was bland and mostly veggies. The meat in the hotpot tasted extremely old. Seafood boil flavor was on point! But I would prefer ordering the seafood seperately than getting the combos. The combo we got was supposed to have 1/2lb shrimp but it didn't seem that way.

Our first time trying a seafood boil. We ordered a pound of snow crabs, crawfish, seafood mix with clams, muscles, and shrimp, along with garlic bread and bag of potatoes/sausage/eggs/corn. It was very flavorful, we got medium spicy. It had a sweetness to it. Overall tasty. There were 2 ladies working, we arrived a little after 1pm on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all. Service was good and and food came fast. Our bill came to 114 and some change. The decor was cute. Crab art work on the walls. They played good music. They give you gloves, a bib, and a crab shell cracker thingy. The bathroom was clean.

My first time here and it was so good! We ordered the Rockin' combo bag (A), spice level: Medium hot and it was the right amount for me. I also enjoyed the egg that was included in the bag. Their garlic bread was crispy too. The service was fast and the workers were nice. The restaurant is roomy and I liked how the sinks were located outside of the bathroom so you can quickly wash your hands after eating the seafood. Parking was super easy.

Terrible service, the waitresses are abusive and spend everything throwing at the table. The food is delicious but they have to improve the staff
