The Palm Court

This little corner nook in the Hilton is great for breakfast. Bobby, our server was the epitome of hospitality and restaurant service. He suggested a couple great options. I landed on the eggs benedict. Food came out quick and hot. The hollandaise sauce made this dish 5star. Light, perfectly seasoned and balanced. The ambiance is a quiet, well lit corner of the lobby. The other server (didn't catch his name) worked collaboratively with Bobby to make sure our waters and coffees were always full. Job well done, fellas!

Both the appearance and taste of the food was terrible. This is visually the saddest charcuterie I have had at a hotel. Taste wise, the prosciutto texture was not right and the bread smelled bad. The deviled eggs tasted of dill and the plate was oily. The risotto was lacking flavor. We expected so much more from this restaurant. We did not get water until our food arrived but, our waitress was filling in for someone so perhaps she did not normally work in the restaurant. Visually this location is astounding.

Didn't have the best experience with the hospitality at this hotel but the palm court for breakfast was the positive exception.They took my order quickly, warned me off the time it takes to deliver the food to make sure I was okay with it, quickly checked in with me when the food was delivered and recognized there might be an issue (salmon was undercooked) and corrected the issue.Server was attentive and offered a to go cup for my coffee as I finished my meal.Overall, had a very pleasant experience at The Palm Court.

The food was absolutely delicious! The servers are friendly and the drinks are on point! I would definitely come back here again the next time I'm in Portland.

The food was pretty good. The drinks were really good. Our server John was the best we would come back just for him very attentive and kind.

Food, service and ambiance all get 5 stars. Had a lovely breakfast there during an unexpected snow and ice storm and were greeted with friendly staff and delicious food.

July 2018Staying at the Benson Hotel? Gotta have breakfast or brunch at the Palm Court. Classy, cozy and the best brunch ever. We're from L.A. and plan to return and have Short Rib Hash for breakfast every morning. Wish I could recommend another dish but I had this three times for brunch out of our our 5 day vacation in Oregon. The serving is not huge but perfect for one person. Love the poached egg on it and hash. The short rib is is perfectly tender and so mouthwateringly delicious.My husband had the fish and chip which I was unable to take a picture or taste it since it was devoured in seconds.The Palm is located in the lobby area of the Benson hotel. A very classy, refined and elegant atmosphere. It has a full bar and live music.Service a definite 5 star. We love Oregon.

Food and service top notch too bad they are closed for the business traveler on Tuesday and Wednesday. Maple pork cop rivals anyone in the region. Steak frite is very good risotto is excellent. Again wish they were open on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Just stopped in fora drink after dinner. Nice hotel bar and friendly staff. .

We stated here while in Portland so decided to have breakfast out our last day. Eggs Benedict was excellent as was the service!
