The banana habanero painkiller is a must try. Happy hour starts at 3 PM. This is one of those restaurants were looking around at what other diners are enjoying actually helps your selection. The service was attentive and kept busy maintaining throughout our time there so no wonder the dining space felt clean and welcoming. The sesame chicken salad was a favorite of the friends who invited me to try the observatory out. We also had the prosciutto wrapped chicken liver which was good except they needed more bread to go along with the pate. I had the ceviche and there was another salad involved. Everything we ordered was enjoyable and delicious, we need to come back to try a few more dishes including the mussels and the carrot cake.

Came here for dessert on a week day evening. We sat up at the bar and ordered a few rounds of drinks and dessert. The food was outstanding but the server and bartender were both visibly unhappy. We didn't interact with the server but the bartender was about as sour as it comes. A second bartender helped us out mid way and was very kind. Overall, the staff vibe just seemed angry and even with how amazing the food was, not sure I'll be back based on the service.

Been here 3 or 4 times and it's consistently good! I love this neighborhood and this cozy spot fits right in. It's a tad bit more upscale than some of the other restaurants and bars on the block, and I appreciate that. Food is great and lots of options for carnivores, vegans, etc. Good drinks that don't take 15 minutes to wait for. Food is delicious and not served with tweezers. Pro tip - also a good lunch spot if you're in the mood for a sandwich. The elk burger was really good.

Intriguing and unique ambiance. High end dining experience with a rowdy bar sound and uplifting energy. Mango mezcal margarita was fantastic. Creative King Salmon entree was also great and super tender at medium rare. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive.

A really lively restaurant, with a ton of unique options. This was more like a 4.5 out of 5 stars, but that is not an option on Yelp.We came in on a Friday night. It was really packed inside, as you would expect. There was an open table outside that we opted for, because it was really loud inside and that usually isn't our style. The staff was really fun and attentive. Everyone here made us feel very welcome. I also appreciated that even though there were only three seated tables outside, it never felt like we were being ignored. We started with the fry bread. A very unique dish. Kind of a hybrid between a beignet and a doughnut, with savory flavoring. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich with the barbecue sauce. While I got the trout piccata. Multiple times through the meal, my wife said this is a 10 out of 10 sandwich. I then took a bite of hers and agreed with her. It was great that the sauce wasn't just adding on, but was cooked with the pork. The ciabatta bread was perfection. She also upgraded to the parmesan fries; highly recommended. Possibly the best parmesan fries either of us have had.My trout was cooked really well. The wild rice was excellent, and I loved getting the chunks of mushroom mixed in. The broccolini was steamed, so it wasn't hard or crunchy. Sadly, the piccata flavoring was not coming through for me. The trout ended up being fairly bland on its own. In context of bites with the wild rice, it was pleasurable to eat; but on its own, the trout was fairly ho hum.Again, I wish I could give a 4.5. The trout flavoring wasn't "worth" a full 1-star deduction, but I also couldn't go with a full 5-star review because of it. We will certainly be back, and recommend this spot if you are in the area.

I definitely would like to come back and try this place again. It has a good atmosphere, I like the darkness in there, but it could use to come up just a bit more in brightness (for menu reading). They have a nice selection on their menu and drinks. I ended up going with the fish and chips and the prickly pear and pineapple Margarita. Everything tasted good, could've used a little more alcohol in the margarita though. We had a good experience after hiking all day.

The Observatory is a fantastic cocktail bar and restaurant! I went there with a friend and enjoyed my salmon, while she had the steak and broccoli. Both dishes were flavorful, though her steak, ordered medium, arrived well done. She was hungry and ate it anyway, so it wasn't a major issue. The service was good, and we had an enjoyable dinner overall.

Grabbed a bite to eat and it was lovely. There is street parking in front of the restaurant and parking lots around in walking distance. The wait was not long and service is quick.

So high points to the hostess & my server. Old woman on her own (but definitely not at peak hours or day) was sat a table & given excellent service (yes, I am 65 & divorced). This place is an easy walk for me (less than 0.8 miles). So service & gin/lavender drink well above par anything on Stark St. But the tap water was warm but drinkable after the server brought my requested lemon slice. Hello? Ice? Chilled sparking water? Yes to both, please. The shrimp app almost hit it & I probably should have left there. I am a pescatarian for over 40 yrs living on coasts of the PNW & Europe. Seriously the 'main' was dodgy (Brit term for something not quite right). I will probably try them again just because they are within walking distance but this place has more potential

The restaurant has a decent amount of seating. The lights are set dimly. I could tell the employees wipe down the menus as mine was still a little wet. I am really glad they wipe the menus down. The food was reasonably priced. Was it great? Not by a long shot, but to be fair, it wasn't horrible either--just okay...mediocre. Our server was fine--again nothing great but not horrible. I will note that my teenage son is a picky eater and he had questions about a few items on the menu. Unfortunately, the server appeared to be irritated by his questions. I caught the server rolling her eyes as she walked back to the kitchen, which wasn't a good feeling. Oh and they need to post signs and let you know upon arrival that they will charge 20% gratuity for a party of 6. Other restaurants seem to charge gratuity at 8 customers. The big question: would we go back again. The answer is no thank you.
