The food was delicious! My iced coffee and breakfast sandwich hit the spot. The people who work there were so sweet. I can't believe I didn't know about this place.

I stopped by today because I wanted to try something different. Of course I could make a sandwich at home but this was much more convenient and the prices are very reasonable. It's also very quiet so it was nice to eat somewhere that didn't have music blasting over the speakers. If you need a getaway from the world this is the perfect place ! The service was fantastic as well. They are very friendly.

Oh my gosh, I got it the first time today because it so close to my work. The teriyaki chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. I think I found my new staple.

I work in downtown Milwaukie and it seems like finding hot food at a reasonable price that's not from a drive through on a 30 minute lunch is nearly impossible, but this place is a lifesaver! From arriving and being greeted by a lovely couple whom I assume are the owners, my order was taken and ready to go in LESS the 3 minutes, no joke. It was fast, fresh, good price! This is a treasure that might be a little hard to find but worth that initial hunt. There is ample seating, very clean and I love the little touch of a little living plant at each table in a clean vase, so cute.

Fun little Deli!I usually visit here for lunch while working. They have a great to go menu with reasonable pricing. The couple that run this place are very friendly and treat their customers well. The interior is clean and well organized. They have a decent sized menut consisting of some teriyaki items and also sandwiches.Parking is in the front and side of the building. I generally opt for to go orders since since I normally take a shorter lunch. I generally opt for the chicken teriyaki or their grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. The food is made to order so you always get fresh food that is warm and inviting.

Honestly, my visit today made me sad. I love teriyaki. It is without a doubt my go-to quickie lunch on the run, so I was very happy to find The Deli close to home and on my errand route. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with vegetables. I asked the very nice owner if he could make it spicy (since they've got spicy yakisoba on the menu), and he gave me a sweet smile and said he would bring out spicy sauce. I waited a little longer than the reviews led me to believe, but out came a hearty serving atop a bed of rice. Here's where things went south for me. The spicy sauce that accompanied my teriyaki was sriracha. I like sriracha just fine, but I would've expected something spicier and made in house. But then I got to thinkin that sauces might not be their thing, because the sauce on the teriyaki definitely wasn't teriyaki sauce. It had virtually no sweetness at all - not a hint of pineapple - it was more accurately described as brown gravy than teriyaki sauce. Nothing wrong with gravy, but not what I wanted or expected. And then there's the rice. Even though it was scooped from a rice cooker, it was hard and crunchy. It got left on the plate. Who knows? Maybe teriyaki isn't their thing and it's all about the sammies? Plenty of regulars there seemed to be enjoying their food.

This place is what it is,which is why I rate it as high as I do. It's right across the street from where I work, with above average food, served super quickly, and it's family owned (this is always a plus for me). I've had their curry, sweet and sour chicken, breakfast sandwiches, club sandwich, teriyaki bowl. All were very good. Their gumbo...eh, super, burn the roof of your mouth off hot, but not much to it other than celery and okra. It's the only thing I've gotten from them that I haven't finished. While Hot Rice, down the road, might have slightly better Teriyaki, these folks' is extremely passable and I can hoof it across the road and get good food, great service, nice people and don't have to get in my car. Would I go out of my way to eat here? Eh, maybe not, but if you're in the area and hungry, let these people feed you!

This small shop near my workplace has become a delightful find. The freshness of their ingredients shines through in every bite. The Asian-meals and sandwiches are a tasty home good feeling. The owners are super friendly, creating a warm vibe. Portions are good, prices are fair. If you're into cozy spots with great flavors, give it a try! Five stars from me.
