Teppanyaki Hut - North Portland

Had tempura Udon and shiyo poke bowl from here. Personally it had bit overpowering seaweed flavour on both the dishes which takes taste out everything else. It's inside Mississippi market place and quite popular among the crowd that visits the area.

Solid spot if you're at Prost! Decent portion and I had to pay extra for the spicy mayo. Kind of a lot of rice the bottom of the burrito is also not closed so it gets kind of messy towards the end.

Lucky we have a rotating lunch truck! Not sure if it's daily or weekly. I had a bowl w fried dumplings (goya?)Ten min and some time in the sun. Was amazing. No complaints from me! I love living near Portland now

While I always appreciate a good portion of fish the absence of flavor made it so bland and I couldn't appreciate the generous amount of protein because of that. We had to use lots of soy sauce to salt the fish. If it was marinated it would've been amazing. I'll give it another try when I'm in the area hoping they change things :)

What an unassuming surprise this place is among the rest!I had the sushirito of my dreams here and the only thing I changed on the Mt Fuji was the fish only being salmon. The flavorful seaweed roll was so taught and perfectly packed to have deliciousness in every bite. The service was friendly and quick when they appeared, they were advertising for help and maybe they were feeling the deficit when I showed up--the lady before me and myself stood at the window a good 5 min before anyone appeared. I was only sorry to discover them on a Sunday when they wouldn't be open again for the rest of our stay.

We tried this for dinner and it was great! The fish had a good color, texture and flavor. The only nitpicky issue is that it's a solid chunk and isn't necessarily the easiest to eat in burrito form, but worth it. Sauces had good flavor. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well and so was the rice. The portion sizes were good too. Service was good and the presentations were nice.

The thing about a burrito sushi roll, with the rice on the outside, and lots of yummy stickiness, is that it's a truly indulgent experience to sit and eat one. It's a big honking huge thing and you have to figure out how to get the wasabi and the soy sauce integrated appropriately. So lots of things to do with your hands and I think that always makes a snack more fun. Recommend

One of their trucks came to my work parking lot, and it was a super yummy treat! I ordered the Mega Mt. Fuji ($15). There was a surprisingly high filling:rice ratio, that I appreciate! The rice was really just a very thin outside layer. It was definitely too large to put in my mouth, so I just had to eat around the edges, and every bite was a different kind of tasty! The crunch from the red cabbage, cucumbers, and fried onions was refreshing. The fish had a good texture as well--not mushy. Everything was so fresh! I didn't even end up using any soy sauce because it comes with a nice mayo-based sauce inside. I hope they come back soon!UPDATE: After my amazing sushi burrito experience, I went to the cart in this food pod. Unfortunately, it was not as good as the traveling cart. The rice was over cooked, the burrito was smaller (ordered Mega), and the tuna was mushy and kind of sinewy. :(

My favorite food cart was closed today, so I tried something new, the Teppanyaki Hut. Quick and friendly service to order. Our meals were prepared quickly for a short wait. We ordered the Shrimp Tempura Bowl and a Double Dragon Sushi Burrito, Both were amazing. I highly recommend this food cart on Mississippi St.

The poke bowl was very good I really enjoyed it. It was nice and filling. Yummy I highly recommend it
