This place makes the burrito of my dreams, and they make it consistently. Never will you bite into a burrito here that is layered like a holiday trifle or a cake, where one layer is beans, the next guacamole and then finally 4 layers later you encounter some cheese, and when you finally come to the end you spiral into a bad burrito related depression. Oh no, here you will find the perfect, most evenly layered burrito every time, with a great balance of ingredients and a generous portion of meat. You can't go wrong with the meats, but my go to is the supreme burrito cabeza, followed by the carnitas. Not only are the burritos fantastic, but they're hefty, and that's just the normal size. Yes, they have an even bigger size that could quell even the most monstrous of munchie induced appetites, and possibly slay most mere mortals like myself. I split one of these behemoth burritos with my girlfriend and we were more than sufficiently full. I shudder to think of the consequences of me consuming this single handedly, but I am sure it would have been a beautiful death.I have yet to try any of their other menu items but I'll go ahead and vouch for them based off of the burritos alone. They also have some good salsas, a tasty but take verde, a red chipotle that's got some good heat to it, then finally a fiery but flavorful habanero that will cause next day regret if overindulged in, so use discretion with that one. For me, this is the best burrito in town. They are friendly, fast, and they are cash only, so come prepared, you will not be disappointed.

Been looking for a good burrito place since moving up here from California last summer and I finally found one! The supersized burrito supreme with carnitas was as big as my arm, and it was just $11. And this thing had great flavor too with the green salsa. The rice was surprisingly flavorful. So far this is the best burrito I've had in Portland.

I don't normally eat at food trucks but I might be a convert. I was in a long line to consign at Village Merchants and started with two tacos. These are by far the best tacos I've had in Portland - very flavorful and delicious and just the right size. Loved the shedded beef especially.

I would say this is better than average, though not the absolute best in Portland, but it has a special advantage... it is in the parking lot of Village Merchants!I hadn't been back to this cart since they moved from inner Division near Pok Pok. Back then, the burritos were really great and I'm sure they still are, but today, I had the torta with carnitas and she had the quesadillas. The torta was very good, lots of meat, moist, nicely toasted, overall a good example of the breed. Her quesadilla's were super generous and I originally thought she had won ("You have chosen well..."), but it turned out she was kinda the loser. The cheese was yellow process cheese, not queso blanco, so the whole thing came off as kind of a street foody take on the original... serviceable but more something for a school kid's snack, lacking in any real flavor or character. Oh well, sometimes you want to feel like a school kid.You mustn't go here without combining it into a nice afternoon of browsing at Village Merchants! It is the combination of the two that really makes for a special outing!

Saw the great reviews and needed my Mexican food fix. Because of the reviews I read I was expecting great food. We ordered the meat combo plate with carnitas and a supreme carne asada burrito. BRING CASH!!It was ready pretty quickly and I was home in 10 minutes. I dished up the carnitas for my daughters and there was a puddle of grease at the bottom of the plate and had not only soaked through the paper plate but through the bag it was it. The carnitas was tender but didn't have much (if any) seasoning and no crisp. The rice, beans and tortillas were good. The carne asada burrito was HUGE!! Like the size of a corgi. It had good balance of ingredients but nothing special on taste. I cut the burrito in half and ate it but had to finish the last off with a fork because it was falling apart because of the juices/grease. The staff was friendly and there was a shed where you could eat in. I won't be back as there are more authentic Mexican food trucks in the area.

Always in pursuit of delicious, authentic street tacos, I happened upon Taqueria Lindo whilst running errands in SE. Based on the lunchtime crowd, I figured I couldn't go wrong. The menu had all the usual suspects: fajitas, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, enchiladas, tortas, combo plates, breakfast versions of all of the above and even salads. Impressive menu for a food truck! It all looked good, but I needed to focus because I was here to try the tacos! Ordered four of the carnitas; two for lunch and two to take home for dinner. For $1.50 a piece, it's a great value. As I was waiting for my food, I bumped into a friend who lives in the neighborhood and was picking up lunch, as he does several times a week! Perfect timing and also one of the things I love about PORTLAND. It's a small city. My tacos came and I helped myself to the sauces, extra limes and cilantro. I really appreciate when they provide limes, cilantros, pickled onions in addition to sauces. Nice touch. We sat at one of the picnic tables and I dove right in. The tacos were very good, definitely worth the stop and worth coming back again. The reason I don't give five stars is simply because Tehuana Oaxacan on NE Killingsworth has raised the bar and all tacos are now measured against their chipotle pork tacos for which words can not adequately describe. Michael's burrito was the size of his forearm! OMG. I've never seen a burrito this huge! Shockingly, he ate it all. It would have provided me 3 meals, easily. He said it was fantastic, and it must be since he frequents regularly. Definitely a hidden gem in the middle of a neighborhood. Most people come by foot and order lunch or dinner to bring home. I'll definitely stop by again when driving through the area. May even venture away from tacos and try the enchiladas or burrito! The owner is super friendly and I like supporting people who work hard and deliver a great service. Muy bueno.
