Tahrir Square

Came here for a light dinner because I was in the area and it was a decent stop! Located at Cartopia, they are a food stand focused on Egyptian food. They have a pretty decent menu with varieties for vegans and vegetarians as well! After ordering at the cart, they give you a buzzer and call you once your food is ready. The food is made pretty quick and you can dine at one of the communal picnic tables nearby.I got the eggplant wrap and the dolma and both were delicious. Loved the dolma and the sauce that went with it was delicious. Highly recommend. The eggplant wrap was good but I wish there was more eggplant and less fries in the wrap. It felt more like a fry wrap if anything and I could barely taste any eggplant. Overall, it was nice to try Egyptian food for the first time and this wasn't a bad spot!

Tahrir square is a food cart that is located in Cartopia that sells gyros and wraps. I saw that there was an orange chicken shawarma wrap on the menu and was intrigued so decided to order it.I'm not sure what I was given, but I'm pretty confident that it was not the orange chicken shawarma wrap because there was absolutely no similarities to the flavor of orange chicken in what I got. This in itself was pretty disappointing. The wrap that I did get was enjoyable, however, I'd say the meat to veggies ratio was pretty bad and that I felt like they skimped out on meat a lot here. For $11, I think it was overpriced for what it was. This store is just a stand where you order your food and pick it up, so there's not much service. The employee who gave me my food wasn't the most friendly because he ignored me when I thanked him for my food and just seemed really unhappy about being there overall. I'm not sure if this restaurant was having an off day when I went, but based off of my experience, I would not recommend coming here.

Food stand located in Cartopia.Chicken Gyro ($12) - Good portions, strange gyro. It was sort of like marinated bits of chicken. It was tasty though, especially with the garlic sauce!

Holy moly! I'm really impressed! Perfect kabobs, the salad was amazing, the fries were surprisingly crisp. Will order again.

Falafel is good. Chicken over rice was flop. Some odd taste to it. Lamb gyro was okayish. Just another option at cartopia. Nothing much to speak about

Friendly staff, large portions, yummy food! I had the Kafta Kabob plate and everything on the plate was good. I had enough to take half home for dinner. Enjoyed sitting by the warm fire on a dreary grey day.

I had a good experience at tahrir square. The food was good & came out quick. Service was pretty good too.Tahrir square is in a nice food truck park, the whole place has a pretty good vibe with nice outdoor seating (including a fire pit) and some indoor heated seating too. The food was pretty yummy. The rice was really good and the mousakka was rich and hearty. I might try something else next time.Overall, I had a good experience.

The food tastes amazing. Let's start with that. I am so glad I stumbled upon this food cart because both the plates and the dips were delicious! I wish the service had been a little bit better. I understand it's busy and everyone has bad days, but we weren't greeted or really spoken to at all. Other than that, it's fantastic! Highly recommend.

Got the kofta kabob plate; the rice was good, the kofta... was a little dry unfortunately. Their sauces were really good though! So was their baba ghanoush. Was good enough to satisfy my Mediterranean good craving for the evening. Having it at a food truck plaza is a plus as the vibe is really nice. The workers seemed tired, hopefully they get some assistance soon.

I can't say enough good things about Tahrir Square.Their lamb is tender and all their veggies are fresh. They have lots of variety and I also am addicted to the chicken wrap. They are open good hours and the service is nice. GO HERE and get pickles (yoomay)
