Taco Express

First time checking this place out for my girls to get their carnitas quota for the week. The reviews looks great and I remembered seeing the place when we got food from around the corner. Nice little outside eating space with 5 tables. We ordered the carnitas plate and an asada burrito supreme. We got home and plated it up. The carnitas had a really good taste but was a little greasy. The beans and rice were both really good. The asada burrito was good but not a lot of meat. The staff was friendly and wore masks. I'm curious about their tacos and other meat options and if we were to return we'd try something else. Nice place but this would not go on our must have list.

I usually hit up 808 grinds across the street, but they were closed so got a chance to check this out, and I don't regret it! Got the Beef Fajita burrito, and it was pretty delicious. Good size, cheap price and pretty quick service. The lady working the counter was friendly, and I was pretty happy with everything. I'll definitely come back! Oh ya, they appreciate cash FYI.

I've only ever had their tacos and I really enjoy them. They are inexpensive and what you get are no frills basic authentic street tacos.

I love a hole in the wall Mexican food spot, and this taco truck did not disappoint! I've been here a few times, and tried a few different dishes. Everything was good, but there are a couple things to note. First, they cook onions in their carne asada. So say you ask for no onions on your taco, they won't put any raw, chopped onions on top. But there will probably be at least one or two grilled onions, per taco, in the meat. I like it, but my hubby hates onions! So he skips the carne asada. (He recommends the carnitas!)We also had to drive back once after getting home only to realize our order was wrong. It happens, but it's a bummer when it does. I also wish the menus were more descriptive of what comes in the different dishes (the burritos, especially).But the people who work there are always nice, the prices are great, and the food is soooo good! Overall: 4.5 stars

First time here on a Taco Tuesday and was pleased. The food was quick, tasty and fresh. You get your choice of beef or chicken for $1.50 if you're paying cash.

Hands down the best food cart I've ever been to. Super yummy tacos. warm, soft, steamy goodness and very inexpensive. The breakfast burrito is also delicious - I've never had one with potatoes in it before and it really hit the spot! Also, the people are nice, service is good and the picnic table area is old-school comfy!

I've gotten burritos from here twice and have had like no meat in it? I ordered Al pastor the first time and they gave me chicken instead with barley any chicken, and I ordered Al pastor again this week and they gave me asada with no meat in it? Both times wrong burrito and hardly any meat. 10.50 a burrito and they're decent but way better places to get burritos. King burrito is definitely still my go to.

Amongst the best Mexican food in Portland(easily the best in the SE). Great tacos, tortas, and burritos! Also, the gals who run this truck are the best. LOVE this spot!

Ordered online using their app. When I arrived to pick up lady said there was no order placed. (Oddly, she wanted me to pay for an order that had been called in. We didn't call- we used the app and paid on the app). That seemed to really confuse her. Ok. I pulled up the order and showed her the paid receipt. She looked and studied it and repeated that she had no online order. She didn't deny I had a paid order, only repeated multiple times I needed to pay again if I wanted her to make the food. Right. She agreed I had a paid receipt. To her food cart. And wouldn't honor it. Told me to file a complaint. Said she couldn't give a refund as she had no order- even thou I showed that my card had been charged. Ummm. Ok. I'll start here and escalate to credit card company. Moral? Order 808 Grinds and skip the tacos.
