First plate
Dry fish chicken tastes like fish. Swai fish was a mouthful of mush. Rib's tough and fatty. The oysters were good and veggies, nothing Else

I have been eating here for many years both before and after Covid. Food is good 95% of the time. I am an oyster fan. I usually eat four to seven plates piled high. I also save the shells and take them home. I also take shells that are left in the serving tray by those who take oysters but leave the shells in the tray. I have always done this. Went in for dinner this week and after filling a bag with empty shells I was informed of a "new policy" stating that "no more then five empty shells my be taken home". Don't know why and the person informing of the "new rule" was not able to provide a reason beyond "we use them".Do they thing that I am "stealing food"? They are free to inspect the bag of shells at any time. It is not as though I am attempting to hide anything. The bag is right there on the table. I will continue to visit as the food is usually good and with the amount of oysters that I eat with dinner it is well worth the price,... to me. BTW, the oysters are very good.

So they closed for a while then reopened - it was good for about a month when they reopened now it back to being bad. Everything seems super disorganized. I used to eat here often for a few years long ago when they had it together, but management changed and it seems they keep changing out the chefs. The food options here are limited. The food is also super mislabeled, there was stir fry looking chicken and veggies under a label for noodles. The soups are decent, stir fry's are decent, fried stuff kinda has a fishy smell but ok tasting. Overall wished there were more options, they also are stingy refilling the crab.

We came for the weekday lunch buffet, which is a better price than the dinner buffet. I'm assuming they have more and/or tastier food at dinner, but I don't know for sure.Allie asked if she could have a soft serve cone to-go, and they said it was OK. Next time, I'll see if they let me stash any whipped cream or cherries in my cargo pockets so I can have a Schlitz cocktail when I get home.

Ya know this place wasn't bad at all. I'm actually surprised it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, especially for a weekend lunch. Maybe they're busier at night. We got there right when it opened and so did a bunch of other folks. We were seated right away and our drink orders were immediately taken. Neat place. As you walk in, you walk between two water features. And yes, there were fish in there. We sat bear the food so my mom didn't have to walk too far. There was a lot of seating. It's a pretty big place. And hot food kept coming out which is a great sign. They had some items which I typically don't see at buffets. They had like this chicken katsu, but with peanut sauce instead. That was pretty good. And their short ribs had tons of meat on them and witj great flavor. Their sushi wasn't my favorite, but their shrimp and crab made up for it. They definitely had a lot to choose from. I would definitely come back again soon.

It had been at least 5-6 years since my last visit and I'd been wanting to revisit this place recently. Maybe I came on the wrong day or they have been like this for a long time because the food was very disappointing. I remember it used to be better than this. I looked at my photos from the past and it is true.First of all, they had way too many chicken dishes that day. The broccoli beef-looking dish was broccoli chicken. The roasted duck-looking dish was roasted chicken. Coconut shrimp? No, it was coconut chicken. Not to forget their BBQ chicken, mushroom chicken, General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried chicken wing, chicken skewer, etc. If my memory serves me right, there was also honey chicken minus walnut. Nothing against chicken, but can you at least do broccoli beef instead of chicken? Can't help but think this is their cost-cutting strategy to use chicken for everything including things that do not normally go with chicken. The sushi section looked pretty sad and unappetizing and I wouldn't want to touch that. Out of everything I tried, I only enjoyed the chicken skewer. Fast service. Ambiance was very dim like before. If you are a chicken lover, this place is for you, but it may not be the best choice for those seeking variety or quality in their meal.

We had been waiting for Super King to open again. However, we had heard that the food was worse than before, the floors were sticky and not to go there. We also heard that the food was tasty, the floors were NOT sticky and the service was fine. We decided to try it for ourselves on Friday, November 3, 2023. We had an open mind and we were actually pleasantly surprised. The place appeared clean, no sticky floors! The service was very attentive as the wait staff took our drink order and came back very quickly. The food was surprising very good! All the food was fresh and good. They kept many of the same items but they also kept the seafood coming and there wasn't any empty food trays for very long. But I have to say, all of the different soups, egg flower, hot and sour, and the seafood soup were all bland. I will skip the soup next time.I was happy that we were able to get the 10% discount for being over 65!We did go on a busy Friday night and everything I had was good and the service was good as they took away our empty plates quickly. I say go and try it for yourself!

Super King Buffet offers an exceptional dining experience with a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for family gatherings or casual dining. The spacious and clean interior sets the stage for enjoying a wide variety of well-prepared dishes, including Asian cuisine, seafood, sushi, and traditional American favorites. Highlights include the fresh sushi bar, succulent crab legs, and customizable Mongolian grill, with a dessert section offering a delightful range of sweet treats. The quality of the food is consistently high, with fresh and flavorful options replenished frequently. The Saturday seafood buffet is especially good, featuring a fantastic selection that seafood lovers will appreciate. Attentive and friendly staff ensure a smooth dining experience, promptly clearing plates and assisting with any requests, with one particularly nice old lady waitress who adds a personal touch to the service. For the variety and quality of food offered, the price is very reasonable, making Super King Buffet a top-notch choice in Portland. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in a diverse and satisfying buffet experience.

Sorry but everything was slimy and low flavor. Low quality meat. Everything could be crispier and less slimy. Hope they can improve. Wish they had fried salted shrimp. Happy they have plantains.

Price: we went for dinner at 8pm and the total for 3 people was $65.97Food: the selection of food was a 7.5/10. I called ahead of time to make sure they had vegetarian sushi option as well, and she said they did. When I got there 5 minutes later, they didn't have any vegetarian sushi. I asked the lady if she could make some and she seemed dismissive... she made a hand roll very quickly but it had massive avocado and barely any rice. That's the only annoying thing. Otherwise food was good and service was not bad! Parking: they have a lot of parking space! Indoor: the indoor was outdated and so were the seats but that's not a big deal.

My husband and I took our kids here for dinner the other night and it was awful. The crab was old and way over cooked, the honey walnut shrimp tasted old and stale. The chicken was hard because it was over cooked. I would have given them review score of 0 if it were possible. Please don't waste your time and money here.
