Stumptown Cuisine

We received the slick flyer in the mail. After looking it over and taking it all in, we decided on an eggplant parmesan sandwich and a Stump Special Calzone. First of all, NO self respecting Italian resistant would even CONSIDER using pre-packaged Heinz marinara. When I opened the calzone box and saw that pathetic little container in the corner, I knew I was in for a treat. The bread definitely had a packaged feel and taste to it while the inside ingredients were bland. The sandwich wasn't much better and was a little soggy toward the end of it. It's safe to say that we won't be coming back. We read all of the reviews beforehand and we still ordered. "Could it really be THAT bad?" Yes, yes it can be. If you are in the neighborhood and want some excellent pizza, Pizza Baron is right around the corner.

We've been here so many times on our way to Al-Amir Bakery. Last time we came here the bakery was out of business. We decided to give them a shot since we watched the restaurant come together from the beginning. The place is immaculately clean. It feels like you're eating in someone's kitchen which for all practical purposes you are; since, it's a family business and the dough is made by the mother... Everything we've tried so exceeded expectations. We liked it so much that we came back two days later. We also wanted to support a growing business.

We ordered a calzone, garlic knots and fries. Everything was so awesome! We will be back soon :)

A clean store and prompt service recommended this place over many of it's brethren, even if the food itself does not. The sauces are over-sweet and under-seasoned, the meats greasy and cheap, and the crust over-worked and pretzel-like. They actually served the calzone with a container of Heinz Marinara..!But while they phone in the food on nearly every level, the store was spotless and the service polite and swift. These days, that counts for a lot. Recommended, for quick impromptu dinners where speed and hygiene are key.

Not to shabby. Philly cheese steak is what I got can't really sit down and eat there, Only couch's few stools though. 13.99 for a 12 inch philly.

Clean spot. Friendly and welcoming workers. Many choices to pick from. Best part... Tastes delicious!

Love the pizza here ! Reminds me of authentic NY pizza! Zeppole were amazing also ! Service was quick and fast for take-out ! Highly recommend !

I have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. Would have had a similar experience with frozen pizza. No sauce, very little cheese, hard crust

First off, the food was excellent. I got a double burger with bacon and it was as good as I could hope for, with thick slices of tomato and onion. Truly, the polar opposite of your classic barely there mashed fast food burger. I also ordered the fried cauliflower and that was spicy and delicious. The restaurant was clean, the service was good. The less good: the seating area is not ideal. The lounge seats and low table don't lend themselves to eating. You have to sit at the end of the couch and there's no back support. You could use the stools and the bar table against the window but they're not matched for height and you end up with the table being at armpit height, feeling like a little kid. Your best bet is to take your food to go. The food was all priced pretty high, and maybe that's just the nature of costs these days especially for good ingredients but I can see your average lunch setting you back $25, which is pretty rich for this neighborhood. Also, the portion on the cauliflower was way bigger than it needed to be, especially when you're charging $10 for a side.

I don't recommend this restaurant the pizza is so bad, 7 eleven pizza taste better. If i would give this restaurant less than 1 star i will
