Sparky's Pizza

I can't believe this Pizza establishment is operating. We asked the store how many pizzas we need for 8 people and the made 4 pizzas totally $148.00.The pizza was cold, crust was too thick and gooey with minimal toppings. When we tried to return it they were closed.

Excellent pizza! Good service! Fair prices! Only negative is parking! The bread sticks are a must!

We got a couple of pies, and I think we found our new pizza spot!!! The crust has a great chew to it and the perfect thickness. The sauce is outstanding!! We got the dream(minus the mushrooms) and the New York!! Awesome toppings as well!! We will definitely be back for sure!!! Also super clean inside and great Customer service.

I love Sparkys. We come here a few times a month. Love the taste of their dough and sauce. The cheese pizza is super cheesy! 1 topping for only $10, we love the pineapple only pizza. Or the Village Veggie, take off green peppers, add bacon.... Dont sleep on Sparkys!

Love 'em too much to ever exclude them from some Yelp lovin'.Oh Sparky's... your pizza, and particularly, your GARLIC TWISTS really revved me up, sparking a love affair I had with you for the while it lasted...I get nostalgic seeing the photos of my "neighborhood" Sparky's. I am indelicate with that term, for unfortunately, this location had no neighborhood to speak of at all (busy, trucking route with industrial feel all over). Hence, i would recommend the one further south on MLK, closer to NE Fremont, and newer as well. Sparky's has some wonderful, magical dough spell cast upon it... in fact, I had the opportunity to meet the young 20 something entrepreneur who opened this branch a few years ago.. He told me of his dream to own his own business, and the solid, wise steps to make it come to fruition. Their service is good, they're friendly, and they serve up wonderful slices! (it's truly the twists that got me all twisted in a knot of giddiness)They sell by the slice and occasionally have deals with coupons. In contrast to MI PIzza Pub, theirs is a thicker, more chewy, soft kind of dough, and puffier. The latter serves it larger, bit more crispy (though neither approximate NY-style.. hello to my local Gioia!!!!), and with more of the 'gourmet' toppings.S came through for me in pinches, when, bleary-eyed and in a full state of malaise, I had to stuff something down my throat before another 12 hour shift at Emanuel raised its premature head.

I'll never forget the day, my dearest ex and I, saw a giant, resident rat... galloping across that dusty, casually-floured, indoor landscape.... it scurried right out from a dark corner in the bench that we were sitting on. It headed straight for the kitchen. Not sure if the two hands-on-deck pretended to ignore it, or were oblivious to the general hysteria (there were 5 of us total, waiting for orders). Honestly, I had to laugh, and when we got our pizza, it was delicious. It was probably some of the best pizza I've had in Portland... which is saying a lot... I was not deterred, cuz I figure rat-poop must become harmless somewhere between cheesy and crispy... and maybe it lends something to the flavor. I'll never forget that.

The Sicilian pizza was a letdown. The taste was flat and the crust under cooked. Have not had Sparky's pizza for 20 years and will not be going back, their pizza used to be good.

The food here is definitely above average and the employees are helpful. My big complaint is they treat their condiments, especially the Ranch dressing, like it is gold. Everytime they want to give one for everything you get and if you forget to ask for more that's all you get. It may sound petty but it is really annoying.

I have been going to Sparky's pizza for over 10 years. And this specific location over a dozen times. Everything's always been great- until today. I ordered a large breadstick for take-out. When I brought it home it was completely raw dough on the inside. I totally understand that the breadsticks are a signature item you have, and they're always so soft and perfectly cooked. However, when I called to let them know I had received one that was raw on the inside, I was informed that's how the owner wants them served..... needless to say, it'll be the last time I order a breadstick there. It wasn't even cooked on the inside, it was literally stretchy raw dough. As pictured below. Absolutely not okay.

One star for decent pizza but read on...Restaurant on Lombard needs a deep cleaning. Table was sticky and obviously had not been really cleaned for a long while. So much grease that someone had scratched their name in the dirt. The napkin holder was so dirty I would not want to touch it. Staff obviously did not wash hands before making salad as the box was covered with greasy fingerprints, the salad au nature, and Greek and not the Garden salad I ordered.Pizza was OK but built from the center out and not from the edge toward the center resulting in two or three inches without toppings. That is buying a 14" pizza for the price of an 18".The delivery van was parked in the handicapped parking space. There was one empty in front so I had a parking place without walking too far.
