Another great cheap fast Thai cart. Kind of Irregular hours but that's how it is for lots of food carts. I just went w/ my classic Thai choice of the spicy basil stir fry. He just had chicken, & tho I usually prefer pork I like that he only had one choice which means maybe the meat is marinated instead of just tossed raw into the dish at the last minute. It was very tender & flavorful & generous portion for $13. The green beans were nice and crunchy too. It could've been a bit spicier but the spice level in portland seems to be lower everywhere so not gonna fault em for that but it could've been a bit more basily. Still good tho.

I'd like to make a positive review for Sky Kitchen. The proprietor was super friendly, he was open on a day when many of the other carts were closed, and the menu looked solid.Unfortunately, I'd just say the food was ok, not great. I had a chicken Pineapple Fried Rice. Taste was maybe 6/10, and it was fairly greasy.

Ordered the tofu (vegan, i.e., without egg) pad kee mao (drunken noodle) ($9) for a casual meal one afternoon. There was nobody else in site, but it still took a good 15-20 mins to get my food. Once I had it, it was quite tasty - big portions with delicious noodles and lots of vegetables. On the sweet side and only minorly spicy. For some reason, they were blasting cringeworthy Christian rock out front -- I don't need to hear shitty Jesus tunes when eating Thai food, thanks. All in all, tasty food even if it took a while to get.

We made an attempt to go to a few different food carts while we were in Portland and Sky Kitchen was by far the biggest yet most pleasant surprise! It was closer to closing time, but the couple of women who were running the food cart were super friendly and welcoming. They had a small menu, however it covered the popular curry & noodle dishes that I would have expected to find. We typically don't get Yellow Curry but we decided to order it with chicken along with the Drunken Noodles with chicken and a side of spring rolls. The woman who took our order gave us a small cup of mango juice to try out while we waited.Although the food took a while to come out we knew it was because it was all made to order. The spring rolls came out first; they were super crunchy on the outside, had a yummy filling, and tasted great with the sweet/sour dipping sauce. The food came out shortly after and everything was piping hot. I was more leaning towards the Drunken Noodles when we had ordered, and my fiancé was more interested in the Yellow Curry, however after a couple of bites, we decided we liked what the other one had ordered better! Both dishes, however, were very tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to get either again. They had conveniently kept some hot sauce and other condiments at the window, and I'm sure if we would have needed anything, they would have been happy to get it for us.The cost of both of the meals was very reasonable (actually pretty cheap) and we received a lot of food! Neither of us were able to finish either of the dishes. If you're in town and looking for Thai food, I'd definitely suggest checking out this food cart. It's worth a trip!

Such a great hidden gem! Everything is good and the spicy level is flavourful not butthole busting! Seriously nothing bad on the menu! I've had the pad Kee mao and the pad Thai! Great food truck!

Jinda is the most genuinely friendly person and wants to make sure your dish is perfect and made exactly the way you want it. We had chicken fried rice and it was enough for me and my H. I always like a little more salt on my food but H says no way. Thanks J for making our late night out so fun!

The basil chicken and phad se ew was too sweet.Maybe for American taste buds. As someone who makes these type of dishes often, I am not impressed. The phad se ew was so dry and sad.Wednesday evening food pod in Alberta neighborhood in Portland was disappointing. Nothing great was open for service.

Incredibly flavorful!! One of the best Thai places I've been to for sure! I can't believe it's only $10 for this quality food. The yellow curry is also 5 stars. I can't recommend enough!
