Usually I judge Hawaiian food based on the Mac salad, and that would give this place 5 stars. Better Mac salad (imo) than 808 or Roxy's. But the serving size was so skimpy. 3 beef ribs for 20 bucks. Go to Roxy's for better portions. The ribs were cooked really well, and the marinade was ok. Rice was pretty good. I tried to get the spicy mayo poke and the shoyu ginger poke. But they would only let me order one or the other. That's weird. Your job is to sell food. The tuna was really good. Spicy mayo sauce was a D-. I won't be going back

I have ordered from here a few times, it's next to the plaid pantry on NW Murray Blvd, Interestingly enough I can't get their hours straight, but I know to call, and they will typically answer if they're open. If they don't answer, they're not open. I've had their Hawaiian garlic chicken, which was lightly coated in a flour batter and served with rice, and as a side, I opted for their mac salad. There was also a mayo-like dipping sauce, the chicken was crunchy, juicy, and tasty. I usually like to call in and take the order to go, as it's a little cramped in there with their seating. The Filipino bbq pork on a skewer was juicy, flavorful, and just what I was looking for. I ordered a burger and their crinkle-cut fries, but I wasn't a fan. I think I'll stick with their other items, and can't wait to try their other dishes!

Not bad. Pretty much your average Teriyaki Hawaiian style hole in the wall. Staff is nice. They make the traditional Mac too which is up to par, no carrot shreds, tastes like it should but maybe a touch less flavor punch. Tried their ribs and chicken, pretty good, very similar to 808, Roxy and Best Teriyaki but with a little better pricing, also tasting like it should but with a little less of that magical flavor punch. Ribs and chicken were cooked just right, buy maybe slightly lacking in enough teriyaki sauce to elevate the taste profile a bit more. Decent to average portion size. Space is pretty small and plain but can accommodate about 10 people. Only thing really missing is a sauce bar or extra sauces on the table like most other places offer. They have extra teriyaki sauce, but you have to ask, not sure if they have Sriracha rooster sauce. Most of the meals and meats are made to order so it takes a little longer since they aren't sitting around in a warming pan all day. If you've got the itch for some decent teriyaki or Hawaiian ... this place is a-okay, solid 4 out of 5.

After living in Hawaii for 4 years, this comes so close to being there. It was fresh cooked and delicious. They also offer a few Filipino dishes, the pork lumpia are delicious. The serving size is generous. It is small, 4 or 5 2-person tables, so may have to take it home. But worth the stop.

This is a solid Hawaiian spot. Definitely a little hole in the wall but been here several times and the food doesn't disappoint and the employees are always so nice! They have musubi and fresh made desserts too along with the usual Hawaiian staples

Great place for local food. Located off Murray. It's in the old big island grill space - looks like this will be a constant place for local food. Staff is friendly and local. Food is great. Got the garlic chicken and it tasted like what youd get in Hawaii. And they make malasada! Will come again

I was missing my local Hawaiian food place in my hometown after moving to Portland. I am so glad I stopped by to check it out! Service was fast and good! It's a small and cozy shop with outside seating for nice weather and a few tables inside. I have gotten the Spam Musubi a few times and it never disappoints. Way better than anything I have gotten at the local Asian markets. Alexia also made some INCREDIBLE chicken teriyaki for me when I came in. She was fast at cooking everything and was so kind to me as well. I cannot recommend eating here more. I love supporting local family owned businesses and this one is at the top of my list. :)
