I stopped in for a slice after work last night and OH. MY. GOD. This has to be the best by the slice pizza I've ever had. The quality is frankly astounding. I was honestly expecting to be disappointed when I saw that what I was going to get was the last slice from the previous pepperoni pizza, but boy was I wrong. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, the ratio of cheese to sauce was perfect, the pepperoni was crunchy and tasty, and even the dipping sauce was amazing! They have a house made buttermilk dipping sauce that I anticipated would be like ranch, and I guess it is KIND OF like ranch...but it's better. And I can't believe I'm saying that...because I love ranch. This location and layout would be perfect to stop by for a lunch break during work, a casual day out with friends, or the obligatory post bar crawl munchies on a wild Friday night.The staff seems genuinely cheerful and friendly. The guy who took my order was all smiles and chatted and joked with me a bit. Really good customer service. The ambiance was casual with lots of open seating including patio seating outside on picnic tables, and booths and window side seating inside. The cans that hold napkins on the tables were also a cute touch of decor. Something interesting to note; they don't do gratuities here. Instead they have a service fee. I've never patronized a business that used this kind of model before, but from what I could tell the employees seemed happy and the quality of service and products was high; so clearly it's working for them. My only point of feedback is that I noticed several tables were dirty and did not get cleaned while I was there. While in theory, having customers bus their own tables can be a great way of reducing labor demands, most customers are not going to brush crumbs off the tables and wipe them down. Having someone to bus, sweep, and clear bus tubs throughout the night would be a good addition to the team. Although, judging by the interview/on boarding that was happening at another table while I was there this may already be in the works. I see good things in the future for this business, and will definitely be stopping by for another slice!

I love Scotties!! They are one my favorite pizza places in Portland. The NW location has ample seating indoors and outdoors with a fun pizza parlor booths.I have gotten their pizza to go before so many times from their SE location and decided to visit their NW location for by the slice selections. I got the defino and a seasonal slice. The crust on all their pizzas is fantastic and they do the classics well but also offer options for everyone to enjoy. Strongly recommend for your next lunch, dinner, or board game party pizza of choice.

Drawn in by all these positive reviews, I was disappointed to find the pizza underwhelming. Perhaps my palate is simply different. The cashier was helpful in telling us popular pizzas, but the 20% upfront service fee for a self serve establishment felt excessive. We got our own drinks and cleared our table, with only pizza delivery as 'service.' I appreciate tipping for good service, but this wasn't it.The thin pizza and doughy crust wasn't my favorite. While the pizza was edible, I doubt I'll return.

TL;DR - go to Scottie's, now!! I don't know why it's taken me this long to try Scottie's, and long story short, I have been missing out!! There are some great pizzas in Portland, and Scottie's is a contributor. I came in for their pizza special during Portland Pizza Week 2024, and they featured a ziti pizza. Let me just tell ya, this was one of the best pizzas I've had in Portland. The ziti wasn't mushy or soggy, it was seasoned beautifully. There were crispy bits to the pasta that added texture and flavor to the pizza. Whoever came up with this idea, deserves a raise and a bonus. It was so good, I got it again the next day, and it was just as good. The crust is thin, crisp, and a little floppy, definitely foldable. Nothing to complain about!Scottie's a gem in Portland, and it's not famous for nothing! Here's to another local pizza joint putting franchises out of business!

Any time I'm in the mood for a delicious slice of Pizza- Scottie's Pizza Parlor is my go to! The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and you're supporting local with each bite! I love me some Scottie's Pizza- 10/10 recommend grabbing yourself a slice or if you feel like spoiling yourself- a whole PIE!

I usually don't like Neapolitan style pizza. They're thick, doughy or too bready.. But not Scottie's! They have a thinner dough that makes it crispy (especially combined with the inevitably melted cheese that will ooze out) - highly recommend! The rest of the pizzas are decent too, but the Defino is where they shine.What they could improve on is the tables. We ordered 2 full size pizzas for the 4 of us and the table is so small and cramped, even with the pizza stands.

Nothing to write home about. I carefully gave my order. My husband got two pieces of pizza, and I waited for mine. When I finally realized one of his was mine, it was the wrong pizza. I let the server know that it was the wrong and they weren't happy at all. I guess they weren't paying attention. ANYWAY I like thin and crispy pizza, but not when it's so thin that it doesn't stay up when you try to eat that, and it flops over.They have pizza by the slice and the option to buy a whole pizza. We got it by the slice and it came out fast. During a busy time during the day, you might have to wait for a table to be available.

This tasted like a lasagna in your mouth.Special pizza for pizza week. In general, Scottie's parlor pizza is pretty flavorful and tasty. The crust isn't chewy or hard. Perfectly cooked with no burnt crust. Ya must grab their hot honey or homemade ranch dill sauce. Drool finger licking worthy! The variety of pizza with smashing flavors at Scottie's is incredible. They offer vegan pizza as well! The service is fantastic and the workers here are so friendly, welcoming, and really sweet.
