I love chicken wings, I've said a lot in reviews, so as a fan, I was excited to visit a place with hot wings in the name. Unfortunately, I had a couple issues. While this place isn't necessarily bad, I found my order of the two that I had gotten - one for me and one for my girlfriend - to be kinda tough. The taste was great but the meat was a bit over cooked. Also, it took a pretty long time for the order to be finished. The fries were unimpressive and a bit soggy as well.Pricing wasn't super expensive. Although, they do have combos which is pretty convenient. The shop is cute but nothing super fancy which I like; it's quant and inconspicuous.Overall, decently flavored wings but my order just wasn't great. Maybe I'll return for another try because they're highly regarded by many!

I love hot wings especially with crispy hot French fries and this place has them! There's a hot wing place back home that I miss a lot but Sandy's comes really close with their 6 wing combo (i get the hot sauce), French fries and soda combo for $13.50. I usually get it to go so that I can enjoy it at home, I would highly recommend calling ahead for take out since everything is made fresh and it takes about 15-20 minutes to get your food. My better half loves the cheesesteak and hot wings combo (doesn't come with fries) and my son gets the chicken strips with fries combo. There's different levels of hot sauce you can choose from, mild to buffalo volcano hotness. You also get a little baggie with celery, carrot slices and ranch sauce. The people working here are always so nice and my food is well packed with no leakage when I get home. I love this little mom and pop shop and it's convenient location on Sandy!

I was highly impressed with this place. The menu has a variety of food, but I was craving a salad and some wings. The lemon pepper was a bit salty, but really good. I loved the chef salad, but would recommend dressing on the side. I would order from here again.

I ordered through Yelp and when I arrived - the girl didn't know that a reg customer can order through Yelp and it shows as a grub hub order. She started to ring me up for a large order without verifying. I had noticed a bag in the end with a root beer can in it which was the drink choice I made. Once I let her know I though that was my bag - she verified my name and phone number. I liked ordering online as a new customer since it had my choices to customize my order with how I wanted the wings cooked and the sauce. I chose extra crispy. And the mild sauce. It comes with fries and a drink. I didn't ask for ketchup but didn't think to ask since my bag was already tied up and ready. You get a lot of fries. Mild still had a nice kick. Yummy. It was a lot of food for a good price. The wings were great! I'd eat here again for sure!

Winner, winner, chicken wing dinner! I was looking for a quick bite and happened to be passing by on Sandy - this corner cafe is next to plaid pantry. I ordered the 10pc wing platter which came with ranch and celery/carrot sticks. The meal was ready in 10 minutes and packaged nicely. The wings are HUGE! They were perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. There was quite a bit of flavor, which made a couple pieces salty, but with the ranch dip it balanced out. Averages $1 per wing. They also have sandwiches (hot or cold) and teriyaki. Stop by and check it out!

Many visits here, first review. Always have been satisfied with a majority of the fare. The new look to accommodate video poker looks great and clean, even though not a video poker fan. But I have to comment that the new remodel looks great. Now for the food obviously we keep coming back for lunch. The Burgers and Fries Are very good and worth the inexpensive price that they charge.Today I tried the chicken yakisoba with side of white rice and it was fantastic very flavorful and enough for two meals for $8. My lunch Mate order was the cheeseburger well-done with fries and it was very satisfying as well.I wish it was closer to home but it's a work lunch place and it's great to go to for a good meal!

If you ask for wings extra crispy they're cooked to a level of dryness that is kind of difficult to enjoy.

Caveat: I have extremely high standards for both Teriyaki and Hot Wings, so just keep that in mind...It's pretty rare that I write negative food reviews, probably because I'm basically a garbage disposal and I'll love anything dumped down my drain. So I was fairly surprised that I was moderately unimpressed with this place. SaHoWiCa has been on my radar for a couple of months and I've been wanting to try their wings. Both my wife and I were in the mood for wings tonight, so I decided to get an order to go.THE TERI WINGS TASTED LIKE THEY USED KRAFT TERIYAKI SAUCEShe decided to go with the Teriyaki Wings and I got Lemon Pepper (LPT: If you want Lemon Pepper Wet, just order a couple of sides of Buffalo Sauce.) She liked the Teri Wings, and I guess since they were for her, that's all that matters. I thought they tasted like Kraft Teriyaki sauce out of a bottle or something. Also, they forgot the Bleu Cheese for the veggie sticks. A pretty big minus.I HAVE EXTREMELY HIGH STANDARDS WHEN IT COMES TO TERIFor comparison on the Teriyaki Sauce, of all the myriad Teriyaki joints in the metro area, Mama's Teriyaki in Tualatin is probably my favorite (along with Aloha Grill, also in Tualatin,) though I haven't been to Mama's in years, so IDK if the quality has been sustained. Hawaiian Time in Oregon City, Roxy's Island Grill and Soy Grill (Clackamas) all have top spots, while Ichi Teriyaki (we go to the one on SE 162nd and Division) and Joy Teriyaki are probably on the bottom rung of what I consider good/very-good.THE LEMON PEPPER WINGS WERE THE $#!+As for the Lemon Pepper wings... You know the scene from the episode of "Atlanta" where they're in J.R. Crickets, that's obviously an homage to "Pulp Fiction"? Yeah. Granted, these joints had the sauce on the side, but I'm not complaining. It is what it is, as they say. They charged $.50 ea. for the two sides, but that's fair since I was ordering something extra. Still, I'd like to have an actual Lemon Pepper Wet option.THE LEMON PEPPER WINGS WET WERE REALLY THE $#!+I ate the Lemon Pepper wings both dry and wet, and they were great both ways. They obviously toss the cooked wings with a Lemon Pepper dry seasoning, but it actually tasted like they also marinated the wings in a lemon/citrus marinade beforehand (the meat actually tasted citrusy) which is a HUGE plus; fantastic flavor. So, while the Teri sauce tasted like it came from a bottle from Cash & Carry, the Buffalo Sauce tasted homemade. It's a good twelve parsecs ahead of Frank's Red Hot, which I consider very good. It had just the right balance of heat and flavor.THE HOT (BUFFALO) SAUCE WAS THE $#!+When it comes to Hot Wings, I kind of have a multiple personality disorder thing going on: On one hand, when I finish 10 or 12 wings, I want to have a raging case of Ghost Rider head. On the other hand, I want to be able to taste the subtleties and nuances of the flavors, especially in the case of Lemon Pepper Wet where you have two flavors. This was definitely a case of the latter, and I'm happy for that. It was perfectly balanced between spicy and savory.NOT TO BURY THE LEAD, BUT...The actual wings themselves were fried to perfection. THIS is how you do wings. IDK if they toss them in corn starch first before frying, but they were super crunchy/crispy on the outside and super moist [MOIST] and juicy on the inside. Honestly, they could have been plain (no flavoring) and they would have been very good.TL;DRUnless you have very low standards when it comes to Teri, I wouldn't get the Teriyaki wings. If you're looking for Chernobyl-like heat, I'm guessing "Volcano" is hotter than "Hot," so you might want to go with that. Otherwise, Hot by itself is very good, and Lemon Pepper Wet is great, as is Lemon Pepper Dry. IDK if I'll order wings, but they also have sub sandwiches that look pretty good, so no doubt I'll be stopping in again sometime relatively soon. I'm giving Sandy Hot Wings Cafe 3 stars, but it's more like 3.5 or 3.75. They definitely do it right when it comes to the actual frying of the wings. At the very least you could get them plain and then use whatever sauce you wanted...
