Sammy's - Boring

This needs a write up because my car already knows the route--does your speed control do that? I thought not. Don't wait for my blathering! I can't find a thing wrong with them. I have not stopped by 3:30ish in the morning to see if things are cool or if I might scare the hell out of a clerk. Out on this side of the world! Chatty staff, but focused on their work Fun goodies to look at. Tunes were fine and there is a big butt TV for the Game Is On. Just go.

Yuck. Just yuck...Overly greasy food and unfriendly people. Never again will we be coming back.

This place was highly recommended by a friend. Upon arriving I realized that it's been a long time. I haven't been since two iterations ago as Heidi's. The breakfast burrito was talked up a bit. Mine was kind of sloppily folded so half just didn't survive. Also it had a sauce I didn't care for and I'm more of a dipper so didn't realize salsa was inside. It was also really non uniform all the salsa was in one end and cold cheese in the other. The bacon was tasty and thick but way too gristly for a burrito. Also my friend praised its enormous size but mine was average at best. The onion rings were incredible. Probably some of the best I've had. Fries were really good too. The skin on thick cut type. The shakes were ok. I appreciate the wide variety of flavors and while they go down smooth they just don't hit on that creaminess factor. I thought I heard him say they were lactose free with a water base but I was pretty tired and possibly misheard. They had some pretty big organizational issues. The guy was working really hard and I just questioned their capacity for any sort of large rush. I could probably get talked into a burger and rings again. The prices were decent enough but it is in Boring.

Excellent burgers, shakes, desserts, and great french fries! One of the very few 24/7 restaurants open 363 days a year that you can get food from. And, they're opening a Portland site. I've been a few times and have always enjoyed my burger and fries

Stood at the walk up window, the old guy was busy helping drive thru customers, but didn't even acknowledge my existence. A younger worker saw me, said "you know theres a guy at the window?" "Yeah, I dont care" he replied 5 feet away from me. No thanks.

Two thumbs up for deep fried twinkies! Each order comes with 2 twinkies and a cup of soft serve ice cream. You can get them with chocolate sauce or strawberry sauce. My group of 5 agreed we all liked the strawberry sauce. Staff was pleasant. The milk shakes looked good.

It's hard to imagine this place staying g in business. The owner and his partner are friendly but they do not inspire your expectations on the food. Which is beneficial as the food seems to have very cheap sub par ingredients at not such a cheap price point. Tried the chili cheese fries and my goodness my dog eats much better than the mystery chili used. The burger patty was food service cheap The location and setup could be great and fun with the right investment and vision. It's a pity it is so so bad.

Growing up in Massachusetts and New England i must say,this place is a little taste of home.The burgers are exelent,the hand cut fries and onion rings are second to none,and the dogs are the closest thing you're going to get to Coney Island.i would highly recommend sammy's place for a special treat or just some lunch or dinner. as we would say back home,this place is "WICKED PISSA" !! thanx sam..1hReply

Went here on the way home from a day of baseball. Prices were great and food was good. Great fries and the sauce was delicious. The owner chatted with me a bit and seemed very nice. The outdoor area could use a bit of cleaning up but again food was good and prices great. Wanted to try one of the fried desserts but was too full. Will return when in the area
