Second time we have been here for dinner to celebrate an event as a family. During the day it is a great view! Food was amazing, foccacia and calamari are our favorite. The sablefish is a perfect dish with sauce, gnocchi, mozarrlla mini balls, and tomatoes. Great service offered to split the dish for us in the kitchen. Really appreciated that. Great service from all the staff!Easy to park there, still want to try the Sunday brunch.

Salty's on the Columbia River is a fantastic spot for seafood lovers in Portland! This isn't your typical downtown restaurant--it's right on the waterfront with stunning views of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood. Every seat feels like a front-row view thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and the two-story deck, making it perfect for a special meal or just soaking up the Pacific Northwest charm. We tried the Parmesan-crusted sablefish, a local specialty that reminded us of cod, paired beautifully with gnocchi in brown butter, harissa beurre blanc, basil-marinated tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, and a delightful acidic sauce. The dish was bursting with flavor and incredibly fresh! We also couldn't resist the Dungeness crab, which was wonderfully fresh and sweet. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, taking time to introduce us to the variety of local seafood options.Salty's left a great impression on us and was the perfect start to our food adventure before heading downtown. Highly recommend if you're after delicious, fresh seafood with a view you won't forget!

Wanted some seafood so this pops up and not too far. Nice taking Marine Dr. to get here. Its much more fancy than I expected. Like old fashioned fancy.Great view of the Columbia River. Standout was the crab cakes but everything was good. Solid chowder. Cioppino was decent but I've gad better and bigger portions. Overall very good, great view, pricey but worth it once in a while

I was given a gift card to Salty's from friends and my fiancé and I were excited to dine here on a lovely Saturday morning for lunch. We were seated inside but still near a window to get a nice view of the water. Our server Danielle was amazing - she gave us enough time to peruse the menu, checked on us often, and also comped us our creme brûlée! I ordered the blackened steelhead salad with a cup of chowder, and my fiancé ordered the grilled cheese. This was no ordinary meal! The salad was refreshing and with the perfect amount of dressing and a very succulent piece of steelhead. The chowder is filled with scallops, shrimp, and clams and it was incredibly tasty. Usually chowder makes me feel really full after but this cup was just enough. My fiancé's sandwich was also very unique. Neither of us are big crab lovers, but this sandwich had melted gruyere cheese, shredded crab, thick pieces of bacon, and tomato in between two slices of delicious bread. It was fun to dip it in the chowder and was also very light! We ordered a creme brûlée for dessert and noticed that some of the fruit on it was a bit squishy and bordering on rotting. We took those off and still enjoyed the brûlée itself. At the end we told Danielle about the fruit and showed it to her and she comped it for us. It was an excellent meal and wonderful service! All other wait staff were amazing too from the hostess engaging us in a conversation on our way to the table to a bartender immediately bringing us water. Even with the fruit incident it was a lovely time and I would still give this place 5 stars!

Best Sunday brunch buffet in Portland / Vancouver area.. fresh seafood - CRAB - oysters, prawns, not to mention made to order eggs, crepes, waffles, and an entire DESSERT BAR with chocolate fountain!!! Not Sunday? Not to worry - lunch and dinner any day are just as great for seafood splendor. The chefs, and the service staff bring a level of excellence to everything they do. They work as a team to make us guests have an unforgettable dining experience in a spectacular riverside setting watching sailboats drift by, and the sun set over the magnificent Columbia River.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to the Sunday brunch buffet at Salty's! It did not disappoint! We don't do buffets often and when we do, it's usually in Vegas. I was surprised by the price of this buffet versus even a Vegas buffet, it was much higher than expected but a lot cheaper than taking a trip so we went for it. One thing that is great is that the mimosas are only $5! So I think that ends up helping with the overall cost of food, drink and tip.The location itself is in north Portland on the marina just ten minutes from us. We got free valet (offered to all customers). We got sat outside on a beautiful sunny day overlooking the water. It was a great view to take in, in between stuffing our faces. The inside is pretty tight and you do end up pushing through people and employees to try to get around to all the food. At least everyone is friendly! They have a meat carving station, seafood, dessert, bread, crepe, omelette and pasta making stations. The food is overall great buffet style quality. Of course most of us are there for the crab!! It was fresh and phenomenal, served with hot butta. My husband was there for the oysters and I think ate over a dozen. We tried pretty much everything. They have chocolate fountain that we didn't get too but I recommend the pasta making station. A few of my shrimp weren't fully deveined so I passed on those and the prime rib was sadly under seasoned and cold but I added some au jus and horseradish. We ended with desserts that were delicious but by then, we were at our absolute max! The service is outstanding! Everyone was nice and provided anything we needed very fast, which I appreciated! I would recommend this to anyone who loves seafood and buffets!

Incredible views. The crab and shrimp salad was outstanding, I'd probably order it again w/o the black olives. The calamari and fresh focaccia bread were delicious. Service was decent.

Come here on Sundays for brunch, it costs more that $90 but it's totally worth it!They have everything from prime ribs to oysters, crabs, benedicts, and so much more! They're dessert spread is amazing - my favorite is their carrot cake. If you come on another day, not the Sunday brunch, ordering the seafood tower is highly recommended.
