It's really hard to find authentic Mexican food but, when It comes to Romero's Kitchen it is truly the real thing. I've gotten the tacos and, the burrito I've tired the Al pastor (but it's not my favorite I prefer the Steak). But, definitely my go to is the Asada Combo Plate it's worth the 16.99 I always eat half and save the other half for later (for all that you get). It comes with rice, beans, sautéed onions, and a pepper it's super tender w/ a lot of flavor!I have eating here a few times and, the owner and her family are always so sweet and very helpful. When it comes to answering any questions regarding what you exactly want to order it's never a problem. Once you order it does take some time (so please be patient) for you order to come out. It's depending on what you have ordered and, how busy they are at the time. Once your ready the have 2 bells (I just press the 1st one) and, someone comes right away. After you have ordered you receive a buzzer w/ a number. Once your order is ready it will light up red and buzz as well. You have the option to pick up your order, have it delivered (they deal with all deliveries services), and you can also have your meals catered. There is 5 seating area (3 in front of the business and 2 on the other side of the parking lot) It's plenty of street parking. Sometimes there is music playing but, I found myself always meeting people and having about a 10-15 min enjoyable conversation. Con~When comes to the phone number I'm not sure it's current but, I had a very hard time hearing her so I had to drive there. I highly recommend trying it out I've eating here twice this week already!!!

I chose Romero's tonight based on the great reviews and candidly, my meal was not very good. I ordered the Asada burrito bowl which came with rice, beans and Carne Asada. The bowl had ample amount of ingredients but it was way too salty. So salty that I could not finish it. Combine the salt with the greasy aroma, it was a real disappointing dinner. So many great Mexican options in PDX but this place just didn't do it for me.

this place has the most flavorful meat I've ever had, OMG. I came here with my extremely attractive husband and got a burrito bowl with Carne Asada. It was the best!! My husband got a cheeseburger next-door, what a loser.

yeah - absolutley outstanding. While their prices aren't the cheapest around it's probably the best quality burrito bowl you'll ever come across in portland--2nd only to JR mexican food up the street! These guys also arguably give you two sides of the best salsa i've probably ever tasted--i think they use roasted hatch chilis in-house. The ingredients are fresh, generous portions of meat, comes out pretty fast in sturdy containers and outdoor seating on a nicer day. This was a slam dunk and now one of my regular go-to places easilythanks romeros!

We ordered delivery from here last night, and it was a bit of a mixed bag!First I will say that I got the carne asada burrito and it was literally one of THE best burritos I've ever had in my life. I'm originally from S. California and have very high standards when it comes to Mexican food. This burrito was TOP NOTCH. 10/10I had a bite of the carne asada quesadilla and it was good, too! 9/10But there are reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5... The tacos were just okay, at best. And for the price? Totally not worth it. They should be at least $1.25 less each, for what you get and how it tastes. My husband ordered 4 and was underwhelmed and still hungry afterwards. I'm not expecting .99 tacos, I know everything is more expensive these days! But for nearly $4 a pop, we would not order these again. Also, we were supposed to get a free Jaritos with our order, and it wasn't included. Not a huge deal, but if you are running a promotion like that, you should really honor it.And lastly, this is a highly personal-taste thing, but their medium salsa was REALLY hot to me. I like spicy... but mild to medium is usually all I can take. If you like spicy, you will probably enjoy their salsas! All in all, I would go again, but I would probably only get the burrito!

What the heck??? Why is this so good?? I do NOT write reviews (I'm very lazy). And I definitely don't review burritos. I mean, it's a burrito.. most of them are basically the same. I stopped here on my way to work because my local burrito place was closed for repairs and this will be my new spot.I ordered a veggie burrito. It came with chips and red and green salsas and radishes and lime on the side. It was huge and the ingredients were noticeably fresh! Like I bit into it and stopped to look inside because it was exceptionally delicious. Just so fresh! I don't know what else to say. Best veggie burrito I've ever had and the radishes were a nice surprise too! The salsas were also noticeably good, the red is very spicy. One note: the burrito had cilantro in it which I love! But if you don't, be sure to request without.

I'm gonna call this review A Tale of Two Tacos. Ordered the chicken enchiladas and asada tacos last night and the food was so good that I considered calling in and placing another of the exact same before my wife staged an intervention. The tacos were greasy and the meat tender, and the enchiladas were moist and tasty. In my greed, I ordered here tonight. Went big and doubled the amount of tacos. Rather dismayed that the Asada was burnt and bland and the tortillas dry. Such that I only ate half the tacos I got and chucked the rest. Enchiladas were dry as well. So, I'm thinking tonight was an off night, but at this rate my next order here will be only if my company is paying.

Excellent homemade Mexican food created and run by the Romero's family. I had the enchiladas and they were wonderful. Big portions and lots of flavor. Mango habanero sauce is my favorite but the red salsa is my forever Stand By hands down.
