I generally never venture down to Sandy Blvd but on today's rare occasion my husband and I had the pleasure of dining at this nice little bar and grill. Immediately we were greeting with a "Hey how is your day?" And that's always nice. Had my drink within 2 minutes of taking my seat The menu is lengthy which is good l like options. Eventually I settled on the CBS which was divine. But what was even better was the tomato soup was seriously to die for. So creamy and delish! My husband had the BLTA croissant and it also was exquisite. Not only was the food excellent but the owner was the bartender and an outstanding gentleman. When we are back in the neighborhood we will definitely be back!

We tried the 2 for $25 prime rib deal. I don't know whether the deal is just on a certain day, but we went on a Saturday. The bar is a dive bar type bar. It was clean and has video lottery machines, a pool table and some other game machine. The service was good. You get a choice of soup or salad with the meal. We had the clam chowder and the prime rib meal come with garlic toast, carrots and a bake potatoes or mash potato or fries. There is also an option of a baked potato for an extra fee. But everything was good and a good deal. There is a parking lot.

The food was delicious omg. The cream of chicken was bomb asf. The burger was juicy and very fresh. Dave the owner made all the food for us. He was a total sweet heart and a pleasure to chit chat with. We will be back for the prime rib Friday dinner. This place is highly recommended. Food is on point, everything is from scratch.

Our first time ever, heard about their prime rib dinner. The meat was tough but the potato & salad very good. I put up a in use sign on a video poker machine while eating dinner & came back to find someone had that machine & played out my $100. Reported it to the bartender & they didn't care. Won't be back. Food not that great to entice me a 2nd time & the staff was lackadasical.

Amazing! Great food, friendly staff. If your looking for a place to beat the heat, space to relax and grab a beer the Red Apple is the place. With a friendly bartender and a rich history. The wooden back bar houses a little secret history of this bar. Originally this oak pice was from the original Red Apple from before they moved 11 years ago. It took 11 people to move it carefully in pieces to keep this piece of history alive. It just goes to show you never know when you might run into a little bit of Portland history. It might be sitting right in front of you.

Sat down for a takeout french dip and mushroom cheeseburger (advertised as 1/3lb), waited 45 minutes and received dry, overdone, frozen meat. Seemed like they used McDonald's sized patties on the burger and Fred Meyer prepackaged roast beef dressed up ass prime rib. Didn't even want to see how the 'navy bean' soup would turn out. Horrible service after we voiced our complaints on the food, not worth it at all

Used to regularly go there pre covid for the Prime Rib Dinner on Fri/Sat. We were SO happy to return. Always a great meal and service for little money and we would tip LARGE!We arrived to smoke filled space in the booths, tried to ask if we could eat at the bar instead. The bartender was so condescending and rude with a 75-cent tip on the bar where we wanted to sit, eat and TIP. We left. Sorry this place has gone down so much that they don't invite good locals like us.

I had 30 minutes to get burger for lunch. Walked in the door at 3:10, got served an Ice tea that tasted like it had been made with California sewer water. Ordered a burger and chowder and waited, and waited, and waited some more. At 3:40 I still had not been served. I told the waitress I was sorry but I had to go. There was two girls at the bar and one guy at a table. Sad!!

The owner was very rude to us because we aren't regulars although we do live in the neighborhood. The other patrons went exactly friendly either. Very elitist. I won't be going back ever.
