Stumbled upon this relatively new Burmese restaurant while walking along Mississippi Ave. and decided to give it a try. What a fantastic decision that was! Had the Si Chet Khao Swe (pork noodles) and Kyet Thar Kyaw (quarter fried chicken), and both dishes were absolutely delicious.Enjoyed our meal so much that we returned with some friends to try more items from their menu. The Wat Nanyou (braised pork ribs) and Khao Pyane Sane (pork & cabbage dumpling) did not disappoint. Everything we tried was incredibly tasty, and it seems like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

This is a review by a vegetarianI got tofu nway as takeout. The dal fritter was ok but the rest was undifferentiated glop. Maybe this works on a plate with thecomponents, textures and temperatures not combining but in the container it was inedible. Or maybe it was a one-off fail. Either way I took two bites after the fritter and threw away the rest of my $16 entree

Food: 4-5/5Service: 5/5Value: 4/5Ambiance: CasualWe ordered the half fried chicken, tofu nway and a special, which was ground pork over rice noodle, very similar to a pad thai. I've only had a small sample size of Burmese restaurants, but comparing RB to Burmese places in San Francisco, RB's dishes seemed authentic and at least had authentic SE Asian flavors. The ingredients are very flavorful in the noodle dishes. I really enjoyed the tofu sauce in the tofu nway, the special dish was like a Burmese pad Thai. I thought the fried chicken was satisfying, but if you're looking for a "best fried chicken", I'm not sure this would be it. The house sauce for the fried chicken is a sweet and sour sauce. Staff were extremely friendly.Portions are normal sized. Restaurant is an order at the front and self service water, utensils type of place such as Nong's. I'd come back again when I'm craving Asian comfort food.

We were looking for a dog friendly patio after a walk around town. They were extremely dog friendly in that they had all we needed outside. She even poured water into a dish for them. We ordered inside and it was out and we were eating within 10 minutes! The appetizer was interesting, I loved the pakora. I especially loved the chili dip. The chicken was crispy, the coconut rice was even more flavourful. The noodles, however, felt bland but salty? We had the pork and it felt like we didn't have many bites of it. Overall yummy!

I've never been to this location - only the Division/50th location. I think their menus differ a bit. We ordered a bunch of food to share. I got the house made lemon soda (yum and not too sweet). We got the tea leaf salad (I don't know how they manage to keep the beans crispy!) - tasty but not enough tea leaf for me. The mushroom noodles were recommended and they did not disappoint. Reminded me of lo mein noodles with nice rich flavor with mushrooms and veggies. We had the fried lentil, onion and bean plate - super tasty and lots of sauce options. The fried chicken is always a moist, crispy winner and it's served w the sweet coconut rice topped with fried onions and a tasty sticky sauce on the side. Highly recommend. Service was friendly and checked in on us and brought us waters throughout. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Only complaint is it can get a little loud outside on Mississippi and the wasps come by to eat your chicken. But alas you gotta pay the wasp tax (leave a bone for them). Will definitely be back.

The good: cabbage salad (though very oily)The bad: the service - short staffed long wait for food and the main guy taking the orders was doing his best just very overwhelmed. They need more staff. The tofu gravy/noodle bowl was gross (:/) and cocktail was wayyy too sweet.

Had the Lahpet salad, pork Si Chet noodles and the mix fry which comes with bean and chickpea fritters, onion pakoras. I love tea leaf salad and would come back solely for this any day. The mix fry plate was surprising good and I appreciated that nothing was over cooked and was just right. The Si Chet noodles were also good in flavor but a little oily. Overall, the food was good and the staff were friendly.

I've been wanting to try this place for so long. And finally checked it out last night. Service was quick, efficient and the people working were vey nice making sure we were enjoying everything. Really casual and well-decorated interior. We tried the big dumpling, the fried potatoes, and a couple of the noodle entrees and were absolutely blown away. The best part was their special of the night which was a wide noodle with ground pork. I am sad that it took me so long to get out there. I am looking forward to checking out the rest of the menu soon!

We happened across this place when walking down Mississippi and it was the best decision we'd made all week. We started with the Lahpet Thoke (Shredded Cabbage Salad) and from the first bite I knew we were going to love the place. Savory, crunchy, unique, delicious! For our main we got the Mushroom Si Chet and the Si Chet Khao Swe (same noodle dishes, just different proteins - Mushroom vs Pork). The mushrooms were bursting with flavor from how they were marinated and the pork was super tender and savory too! We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Everything we tried was amazing! We had the green curry with pork, a tofu curry, and the giant dumpling. It was all packed with flavor. The drinks were on point as well. This place is a hidden gem.
