Atmosphere: Food truck with plenty of tables to sit. Good little Food Cart PodFood: Delicious. I got the Shio which was just fantastic. Perfectly done thin noodles. Great chashu slice. Wonderful broth (although it began to get a little salty by the end of the bowl). Food was great!Price: $13 for a bowl which I found to be reasonable. It wasn't the biggest bowl but did the job.Service: A bit slow. They do one bowl at a time pretty much so if you're in a hurry probably not the best optionParking: Street parking. Can be a bit tough to find around there.

The ramen here is fantastic! Get the Tan Tan and you won't be disappointed. Beware if the weather is too hot they may not be open :)

Came to this food truck pod to try a different place, but ramen sounded too good to pass up. I ordered the Ippo ramen I enjoyed it sooo much! I thought the chicken broth was flavorful, but not too salty. The chashu pork was nice and tender. It came with 2 (halves) soft boiled eggs and they were cooked perfectly with a jammy middle. And most importantly (imo) the noodles were perfectly chewy! It was simple with not too many toppings, bit still so delicious.I have a hard time finding ramen I like, and this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

love japanese food and went to japan many times for ramen and kaiseki cuisine. So when we run into a food truck ramen we are so excited about it!The soup is delicious with the chicken broth base, the half flowing egg is a highlights in your mouth, the preserved bamboo shoots is full of flavour and the pork is tender and soft. While the ramen noodle is too hard for me, normally you can choose the Degree of softness in Japen.

Ramen Ippo is a food truck part of the Nob Hill food cart pod/station with good ramen that is decently priced. I took off 1 star because it isn't the most stand out or flavorful ramen I have tried, but I would come back because I would be interested in trying their other items and they are in a great location. I also thought the amount of broth in the tomato ramen was lacking. Plus, I found the ramen to be a bit pricey if you add more toppings and given only 2 slices of chasu pork are given in the Ippo Ramen for a bowl that is $11.00. For most other ramen places I've gone to, you usually get 3-4 slices and the pork is tastier. There is a fair amount of outdoor seating on the sidewalk dedicated to Nob Hill. Street parking is plenty!

Ramen Ippo recently relocated to the Nob Hill Food Carts pod, which isn't as convenient for me, but hopefully he'll get more business at this location. Still the same delicious ramen! I prefer the Ippo Ramen, which is a chicken paitan broth. Husband got the spicy Tantan ramen, which comes with ground pork and peanut butter miso. Both are excellent! I've driven up there twice during the Covid-19 lockdown to get dinner to take home. The owner packaged the broth separate from the noodles so they wouldn't turn to mush on the 25 min drive home. I also tried the karaage meal box, which was delicious! Lots of crisp fried chicken on a bed of rice with a green salad on the side. I asked for the sauce on the side, to keep it from getting soggy during travel. Ramen Ippo also participated in Wisky+Ramen event in 2019, and they earned one of my votes for their ramen. They were up against of the best in P-town, and did very well. Definitely on my top 5 ramen spots in Portland!

I only got the takoyaki so I can't comment on the ramen. The takoyaki was decent - good flavoring and can't complain about the octopus. The inside did seem a bit runny and doughy but I don't think it was undercooked. I would have preferred the inside to be a bit firmer but other than that it made for a nice light snack.

I was a bit disappointed after seeing so many 5 star reviews. I got the Ippo Ramen, which I found to be one note. The broth had a good chicken flavor, but that was it, it just tasted like chicken without any depth. Noodles were well cooked with a little chew; they use the straight kind here. Char siu was soft and tender, and there were a few strips of bamboo, which was seasoned, which I like. There's half a soft boiled egg, which was just a touch overcooked, and green onion. It just seemed plain as far as toppings and depth of flavor. What you see in the picture was the extent of toppings, there's not more below, only noodles. It wasn't bad, just underwhelming. Service was friendly.

Considering it's a food pod and right up the street from our place, we do enjoy coming here for a quick ramen fix. It isn't Kyoto's but the ramen that Ippo ramen offers is right above decent. I always get an extra egg and you should too. When I come for ramen I get the signature Ippo ramen b/c I'm not a fan of peanut flavored anything. It's got good flavor and is a decent portion size. They noodles are okay and the broth is decent. I typically will eat the entire bowl in one sitting but I am full and pretty satisfied when I'm done, especially considering the price. Pricing is good for what they offer w/ the Ippo ramen coming in at $10 plus I think an extra $1 for the extra egg. We also have tried the Kara-age which was cooked well but was just lacking a little flavor for us. Regardless, it's our go-to for a quick and close/convenient ramen fix.The food pod park that Ramen Ippo resides in is not the biggest with like 7 food pods in it but there's decent seating including an extended seating area that a few parking spots were turned into and it's a good thing because it would be a problem had they not added the additional seating.
