Excellent Cuban sandwich. Since I haven't had one in Cuba or South beach, I'm assuming this was the most authentic Cuban I've had. Just amazing. One other thing, the plantains are the best I have ever had, period! I'd drive here just to get a side of them. The person working doesn't speak much English, so be ready to order when you get there. No questions.

I tried Cuban food for the first time at Que Bola and I'm hooked! The For Beginners entree is a great way to sample multiple dishes and figure out what you like! The For Beginners entree gives you a taste of the roasted pork (pretty great), steak (amazing), yucca (I'll pass next time), ripe plantains (YASSSSS), grilled chicken (meh), rice (buttery and delicious) and black beans (more soup y but very tasty). I'm definitely coming back and focusing on more Cuban food in general!

Wow!!! Delicious, filling, satisfying!!! Mmmm mm!I ordered their beginners platter and boyyy I'm glad I did. Not only is this a lot of food, but it's good food! First time ever trying Cuban food and I am impressed. The rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Paired well with all the different meats and sides. There was shredded pork, grilled beef, grilled chicken, sausage, yuka side and black bean side. Everything was so perfect, I'm honestly really impressed. The meats were delicious and it was smeared with some kind of garlic sauce. Mmmmmm. I just got done eating it and my mouth is watering writing this review! I highly recommend this place. Absolutely worth the meal!! Enjoy!! Plus the cashier man was super friendly and helpful too!

Ordered the Cuban sandwich and my wife ordered the rice and pica dio. The food was delicious. Especially my Cuban sandwich. I'm not too big a fan of shredded meat but the flavors and the texture combined all together was on point. There was good flavor but I like my food spicy. Had to request for hot sauce to get hot sauce. It wasn't that spicy but it did its job by enhancing the sandwich flavor for me. I taste the pica dio and I felt like that was just okay. I've had better. Next time, I'd like to try something else on the menu.

Gonna keep this one short and sweet.Everything here is phenomenal. I recommend starting out with the sampler platter which is just mind blowing. The meats are highly seasoned and the mojo sauce is fantastic. Perfect black beans and rice. The yuca con mojo is transcendent, like nothing I've ever had before.Best cart that I've tried at the Mercado

Finally another Cuban option in Portland! Great offering of classic Cuban dishes, with spot on flavors. First week opened so still dialing it all in, but nonetheless excellent. This is good food that comes from the childhoods and hearts of Leonardo and Brenda that served us today. My pan con bistec and side of yucca were very good, and Ali's beans, rice, and platanos were just perfect. Well done guys! We'll be back soon :))

Everything was delicious that we tried - three kinds of sandwiches and four of the sides. Literally not a single complaint about anything we had. Fish was flaky, chicken was juicy, everything tasted good and had a great texture as well.

Finally getting around to eating at the many food carts around Portland. Had more trouble pronouncing the items we wanted than knowing what to eat. Let me say the food was very good and the service was great. Very friendly people. Fish in the dish I ordered had lots of flavor and cook just right. Prices were were good and easy on the wallet. Outdoor seating, lots of people and had no trouble finding a place to seat and eat. Being so far from Florida its good to know you can find a place to get a good Cuban meal. Fried banana chips was a nice change from potato chips. Veggies on my order were fresh and we were almost to full from our order by the time we were done eating.

First timer.Perfect Cuban black beans and rice! Shared a Beginners Platter, marinated chicken (very good), roasted pork (very good), marinated steak (very good), chorizo was tasty but dry, yucca was pleasant and plantains were perfect.I would have liked some plantain sauce options. The order taking lady is informative, patient and nice. This little food cart is lined up with a number of other newer carts that feature goodies from their respective Latin countries. Pretty good off street parking at The Mercado @ SE 72nd and Foster on the SE corner. A long shaded area with picnic tables worked well on a hot sunny day.
