Q is a fantastic place for upscale cuisine in a refined yet comfortable setting. I had the chance to eat here twice on my visit to Portland, and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. This is the kind of place where the servers know the menu intimately enough to make informed suggestions on wine pairings, which I really appreciated. If you're dining alone, the chef's counter is a perfect spot to enjoy your meal and watch it be prepared! I've never seen such an organized kitchen, and it was a treat to watch the head chef call out orders, like a stage manager calling a show. It was fascinating! The combination of flavors here is very unique and inventive-- pairing fish with cucumbers, apples, coconut rice, and candied cashews-- and the ingredients are absolutely top notch.Don't miss a meal at Q whether you're local or visiting Portland!

I reserved this place the day of for the 4th of July, and we arrived a little early, but they were able to seat us. First, seating is common as it is in many Portland restaurants, where there is booth and tables sitting side-by-side.Smallish and quaint I would call Q. Second, the food. I'm a vegetarian so I ordered the asparagus and pistachio salad, which was wonderful. I also had the wild mushroom crepe. The salad was earthy and light, which complemented well with the savory crepe (I used the leftover cheese from the salad to add to the crepe which hit the spot). Overall, a great experience that I would recommend. Well worth the hype, at a very reasonable price ($70 for two people), especially when sharing the entrees between two people.

Portland business lunch venues have been limited ever since I moved here decades ago. The VQ stood out as one of the best, and now does Q.The house made Gnocchi, one of their marquee items, was excellent. The soft potato pillows are larger than what you might be accustomed to, and this makes a difference regarding its texture. The tender pork ragu makes an excellent complimment. Eying the different entrees around the table, everything looked scrumptious (especially the kabab.)The hyped strawberry non-alcoholic concoction underwhelmed, but maybe just not my thing.Service was pleasant and fast. A great Downtown spot.

I like Q, no real complaints, but it's like one of the only mildly nice places in its immediate vicinity (look I love luclac but for a more work oriented lunch Q is more accessible, reservable, and up scale for a work setting). Because it's one of the only work-appropriate places in its immediate vicinity it's incredibly packed during lunch. I wouldn't mind that but it can be hard to hear the conversation at your own table. Their non-alcoholic drink menu is so fun though, I have so far gotten the shrub, orchards of the caribbean, and the matcha mocktail. All fantastic and if your work is paying I would highly recommend. Not pictured here, their bacon wrapped dates are of course to die for. I've had their burger and it was honestly mid, their lunch special can be hit or miss but it's mildly annoying to basically have to pay extra to get a protein added. The roasted vege pasta a few weeks back was fine but not overly flavorful. In contrast, the ravioli with a more tomatoey sauce recently was very good. Overall a good place to eat, however at this point I may have been a few times too many. Randomly, the main issue I have with Q is that the fries are below average at best. I come for crunchy and salty and your fries are soggy and bland.

Loved this farm to table restaurant!! We got the bacon wrapped dates, osso bucco, and soufflé (which is only served on Fridays). The food was incredible. Our server was also very good and attentive. We loved the vibe and it was hoppin' so I highly recommend reservations.

Service was excellent, our waitress was very pleasant. Ambiance is fine, but it gets super loud (I felt like I was yelling at my husband). Food was pretty good, bread was fresh, osso buco was tender, veggies in the veggie crepe special were fresh and flavorful, and the tirimisu and my cocktail weren't too sweet (a great thing). We were able to get street parking very close by on a weeknight and we didn't need reservations.

This is a family owned restaurant that does an amazing job with food quality and service. We also loved the craft cocktails. The Osso Bucco was my favorite. It's a braised veal shank that was prepared perfectly with a light touch of rosemary, garlic and wine.

A good friend of mine absolutely love this place. She took me here for a birthday dinner treat and my first impression was absolutely amazing. From the ambiance to the food was just incredible. The ambiance was warm, cozy and intimate. Great spot for a date night. We started off with some appetizers: -bacon wrapped dates super delicious (10/10) well balanced flavors n textured between savory, sweetness and crunch -moroccan spiced lamb meatballs was so good as well (9/10) it was soft, tender, moist and flavorful with all the sauces-pumpkin dumplings were really tasty and unique (10/10)for entrees we got: -osso bucco i've never had shank before but it was delicious, very tender and easily pulled apart, the sauce came with it was rich and flavorful. (9/10) it was more more of a heavy side dish for me -farfalle with scallops & dungeons crab was by far my favorite dish of the night! Incredibly flavors, texture, good portion of meat, at the same time light. (11/10)we finished off with warm ginger apple and pear crisps and it was warm, tart, fruity and delightful. (8/10) Everything we had was delicious with great portion! Service was also good and in a timely manner. Their drink was also enjoyable, I got seasonal crush and my friend got pina mule. Not too strong nor light, I believe seasonal crush went well with that we ordered. Definitely would come back and the Q restaurant will be my newly favorite Pdx dining restaurant.
