Generally, I don't order yakisoba, but it seemed like a nice change for my most recent Thai food dining experience. I'm glad I chose to switch it up though. Phi Phi Thai Food Cart prepares the noodles just the right length of time. They were not too chewy, but very hearty. I'm not sure what kind of beef cut they used. It was fine, nothing steller. To be honest, the dish was a wee bit bland, with zero spice/heat to it. I had to dump a few packs of soy sauce and siracha on the dish.Though not the most exciting dish I've tried in a while, it seemed to be freshly made with adequate ingredients. It definitely filled me up. You get a lot of food the fair price. I'll be back again to try other dishes.

This place is not good. I'm sorry but.... No. Long review short: the food just lacks flavor. I ordered a pad Thai with beef and while made fresh and hot to order, it just was not flavorful. I also ordered their tofu salad rolls and while the rolls were fresh, the peanut sauce that normally makes this basic dish great was horrible. It was almost as if they took some leftover curry juice, watered it down, and threw it in the bag. I wonder if they just ran out of peanut sauce? Even if so, this was not a good substitute. I came back a separate time just to order an original milk tea with boba and the boba was horrible (maybe old?) and the drink was very mid. Overall, keep moving. Freshly made, friendly service, but this is not good Thai food.

Pretty good standard Thai food. Cheap & generous portions of curry. I tried the Panang - it was good but not the best I've ever had, a little thin. Besides all the usual fare they have a couple specials like pho & orange chicken as well.In the Cartside food carts pod, comfortable & plentiful seating and a bar to buy booze at.

Good food, but took over 35 min to receive our food. Do not stop here before a concert at Moda if you're in a rush. Made us much later than we wanted.

I orderd a strawberry milk tea with boba at lunchtime, and they gave me a beeper so I would be able to wander off and know when my order was ready. There wasn't an option to modify the sugar level, and it was very sweet. I used the straw to mix the milk with the strawberry flavor since it was relatively unmixed when I got it (I think this is a good thing, since you can choose if you want to blend it or have more separate distinct layers of flavors) and interestingly the pearls were mostly floating to the top. Overall it was pretty good, you taste more of the fruit flavor than the tea itself. Although it wasn't super cheap, the quantity was big.

Great food at an average price. There is a good variety of dishes on the menu to order from. The food was fresh and the portions large. We ended up also having the left overs from lunch for dinner as well. I ordered the Panang w/chicken and the girlfriend ordered shrimp salad rolls. Unfortunately no pictures as the food was consumed shortly after receiving it. Service was good and the food came quickly. The 5 picnic tables were a little on the dirty side. We found wet paper towels and did our own clean up. Tables were located in the shade. Other than that I would recommend eating at PP Thai.

The "Basil Fried Rice" is PERFECTION. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the fried rice of my dreams. It was slightly saucy, the bits of egg had that awesome wok seared flavor, the rice was a little crisped, and the peppery flavor was popping! I've never craved fried rice in my life before, I've never been it's biggest fan, but fam...I was dreaming about the next time I'd get to order this basil fried rice again before I'd even finished half the container of it! The irony is that I thought it was going to be meh because everything on their menu looked so basic. In a food cart pod where everyone is offering something unique or out there, what was distinguishing PP Thai from any other Thai restaurant in Portland? NOW I KNOW NOT TO JUDGE UNTIL I'VE EATEN IT. So amazing, I hope you give it a shot!

My favorite go-to Thai place has a new chef, and it's just not as good. So I've been on a mission to find a new place. My husband wanted the smash burger next door, so we came to check out this food pod. It's a small pod, but you have plenty of options. Thai food is my favorite, so I didn't want to pass on an opportunity to try a new place.I ordered Basil chicken fried rice, with a five-star spicy level. I like my Thai food Thai spicy. Extra hot. The people were super nice and sweet. And it didn't take too long to get my food. It was still hot when we brought it home. The flavor was decent, and it had enough heat. Not incredibly spicy but spicy enough. I'd love to check out more items on their menu.

This cart is something I have tried a number of times, but never really posted about. However, most recently I got the Cashew Nut Chicken (3* spice level), and Tom Kha soup with Chicken. The Cashew Nut Chicken was prefect. It was a good spice level that was still very flavorful, and not melt you mouth. The chicken was tender, the vegetables were tender, but not mushy, and the rice that came with it was prefect to soak up the sauce. It was a perfect size for someone who is pretty hungry for lunch, but doesn't make you feel like you need to take a nap afterwards. The Tom Kha soup was very good as well. Flavorful, filled with tons of mushrooms and chicken. It was a large amount to that I was able to save for the next day's lunch, and looking forward to that today. They have a wide variety of items, very affordable, and while you wait for your food you can step inside to the bar and have a beer and watch 1 of 4 or 5 Tv's. Recommend this place if you are in the area, and if you ever head to a Blazers game or a concert and are hungry this would be a prime spot to stop before your event.

I love their food and people are nice. The prices are acceptable. But when they serve this little amount and demand a tip, I think it's unacceptable to serve this little amount of food. Might as well serve it in a smaller container. The only reason why I'm leaving 4 stars and not 5 is because of the little amount of food and they usually put peanuts in my food when I ask them not to. I'm allergic to peanuts. But other than that, still a nice place to go to for lunch.
