Pleasure Burger

The JR Smash burger was made to perfection. It was the best burger I have had in Portland. The atmosphere and customer service were top tier

This was our first visit and the burgers were fantastic. I had their Mushroom & Swiss burger and since I started writing this review, I've probably been back 4-5 times. Their fries are also very good but it's the burgers that steal the show.

Easily the best burger in Portland, and that's saying something. The balance of American cheese in the smashed burger patty with a little sauce. Perfection.However, I was just bragging about it with my friend who is visiting from out of town and I insisted we go there and they were unfortunately closed on Sunday at 7 PM when their hours are until 8 PM.

Awesome burgers! Good sauce, cheese and the patties are smashed real thin. The fries were solid, I wish they were a bit crispier. The staff were super nice, and service was really quick! Prices aren't bad either.

A while back I was discussing with mu co-workers about "food fads". You had Pho, then Ramen, birria tacos. Now, even though they have been around forever, smash burgers will be the latest social media food fad. Im not hoping on the bandwagon, but I am enjoying this place in Portland. I was glad to see another burger place with a peanut butter burger. This place is doing it a little different, as the create a peanut butter patty, that they place in between the 2 smash burgers. This is similar to a slice of cheese, to where it melts on to the meat. I didn't hate it. It was really good. I'd have to say better than Killer Burgers (they use a peanut butter sauce). This burger really hit the spot. I really have nothing negative to say. Plenty of meat. Fresh buns. Plenty of mayo and pickles and bacon. This was accompanied by some parm tots and a can of Ruby Red Squirt. Excellent meal all around. I will be back!

Simple and delicious. The burger was perfectly smashed-style and the waffle fries were hot and crispy. Some seating but turnover for seats/tables is quick - a spot will typically open up by the time the food arrives. The servers were also very friendly. Overall, good place for a quick lunch!

10/10!! Can't rave about this place enough!!!!! Best smash burger I've ever had. The space is SICK! The tots were phenomenal. The bathroom design is out of this world. Plus- amazing, fast and friendly service. My sister said it was the best peanut butter burger she's ever had. Can't wait to go back. Great work PLEASURE BURGER! Smashburger Mecca! Pleasure Burger had super high marks for their burgers so we had to give it a whirl. The menu was super simple - 5 burger options, a few hot dog options, and waffle fries, plain or Parmesan with dipping sauces.My son and I had their peanut butter bacon smashburger and my wife had their standard pleasure burger. They were all amazing! The sweet to savory ratio on the peanut butter bacon burger was perfect! The waffle fries with their burger sauce or garlic aioli was also delicious!Give this place a try!

Thoroughly enjoyed their Peanut Butter Burger! Loved how you get really smashed patties and two of them. The peanut butter worked well but this was definitely a hefty burger.The Parmesan & Chive Waffle Fries were alright. Crispy but somewhat cold...Overall, a decent and no-frills burger spot. Staffs were very friendly and had great energy to the place.

Really good burger. It was just what a burger needs to be: simple. And delicious. I think it's local PDX. Always support local when you can.
