Pine State Biscuits

This chain seems to be taking over PDX. Interior and exterior are both crisp and modern, with indoor and outdoor seating. Go up to the counter, order and they'll bring it out when ready. Service is quick and friendly.You're here for biscuits and their biscuits are killer. Flaky and buttery, no matter what you order, you're going to love it, though it will put you into hibernation mode immediately after. I tried a Reggie, which is *gulp* fried chicken, bacon, cheddar on a biscuit, smothered in sausage gravy. Every component was perfect - super well seasoned fried chicken, salty porky bacon, tillamook cheddar is divine, all on that perfect biscuit. And ya, dump some flavorful gravy over all that. One bite and you'll be in heaven (and dreamland). If you go for the combo, I highly recommend the coleslaw to cut through the grease, as it's got a good vinegary tang and is just good coleslaw in general. The snickerdoodle is fresh and has just the right amount of cinnamon.Can't come to Portland without trying this.

Food had clearly been sitting for a while, the melted cheese had clearly cooled. Multiple tables had turned over while we were waiting for our food as well. When my wife asked about our food, the person behind the counter interrupted her saying that they were busy (of course, we can see that, that's not the issue). When asked if they had our table number, they said they didn't have that table number. The food probably would have been better had it been fresher. The cashier was nice though! Oh! There were many dogs, which was a definite plus.

MUST GO! PERIOD! If you're a B&G person like myself, you know that it's all about the gravy. Sure you want a warm & fluffy biscuit w a little butter, but the sausage flavor and consistency of the gravy is where it's at. But I had to try a few other things...1) Biscuit & Sausage gravy. Epic! And get the egg on top.2) Blueberry Cornmeal pancake. Solid. Wish there were a few more berries in there, but they were fresh and full of flavor. 3) Dessert Beignets. For $4, they were ridiculously good. This was a grip of food and for the $? Wow. They serve, you bus. + there's outdoor seating. Looking forward to returning.

Came here after hearinf how amazing the biscuits and brekkie were here and who doesnt love a good biscuit?!!Food is ordered from counter and the. Brought to you. I wanted to try something different so opted for a veggie sausge with biscuits / gravy and coffee.Others in group tried biscuits with gravy and a pork sandwich ( with biscuits of course)Food came out relatively quickly and was as good as advertised. Biscuits were flavorful, flaky and buttery. Gravy was great and overall really enjoyed it.Believe the hype! This place lives up to its billing and is well worth a visit if you're in the area or visiting Portland!

My brother flew in and our first stop was Pine State Biscuits. What a unique location and building. The food was filling. I ordered the Hash up with two over easy eggs, lots of hash browns, onions, cheese and mushrooms. Very filling. My brother had the money ball with egg, the gravy was nice is thick, tasty and hearty. The service was great as well as the food prep they were very quick. The interior is very country rustic. They open the side walls to let in a lot of light. They also have outdoor seating.

We placed a to go order for fried green tomatoes, a la carte biscuit, mushroom gravy, and scrambled eggs. The food was hot, fresh, and ready on time. Employees were all friendly and the restaurant was clean. I take every opportunity I get to order fried green tomatoes and these did not disappoint. The breading was not thick but not too thin, just right. I suggest getting the pimento cheese to put on top. The biscuit itself was soft and fluffy inside with the perfect amount of saltiness and tad crunch on the bottom. The eggs definitely needed salt and pepper but luckily I had asked for packets. This was a meal I would love to repeat!

It's a bit heavy for breakfast for me but good food. We tried the biscuits and gravy, the fried chicken sandwich and blueberry pancakes. The fried chicken sandwich had honey and mustard but it was still lacking a bit of flavor. If I go back I'll go with eggs, biscuits and hash browns. No sauce so it feels lighter. Caramel bourbon latte was delicious. Server was so nice and helpful.

Excellent biscuits!!! They even have some vegetarian options or you can customize to your liking! I ordered The Regina without hot sauce. Other vegetarian options include the veggie reggie, biscuits and mushroom gravy, , moneyball, double down, blueberry pancakes, veggie corn dog, etc. Its indulgent but a nice treat. Staff were really nice and its a friendly welcoming atmosphere.

Located on a corner street with plenty of meters street parking around, there is indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside since it was a nice and sunny day - and even sitting outside staff checked on us frequently! Wanted to try many thing on the menu so we ordered a Reggie, Reggie deluxe, Mac & Cheese bites, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, coconut water and of course Marion berry jam - because when in the PNW (why not!) and strawberry butter! Reggie - fried chicken, cheese, bacon and gravy (you can choose between sausage OR mushroom - I got both!) doesn't look too good but it was tasty!! The biscuit was nice and flakey- and I couldn't finish it! The Reggie deluxe is the same as a Reggie but with a fried egg. Max & Cheese bites were tasty nice crunch and gooey insides.Fried green tomatoes -just meh, not much to say about them.Best part is they have so many different and seasonal jams and butters! Will be coming back when I visit again!

Everything we ordered tasted 10/10. Highly recommend! The brisket biscuit is amazing.
