If you are ever at the convention center in Portland, this is an awesome breakfast sandwich place within walking distance! The space inside is pretty tiny, so expect it to be busy on the weekends. There is some outdoor seating if it's not raining. You order at the counter in the back and then find a seat. To skip waiting for a table, I recommend ordering online and taking the sandwich to go. The biscuits are delicious and tender! It's hard to eat this sandwich like an actual sandwich - it's more of a knife and fork situation. There are tons of options, but I definitely recommend getting one of the options with fried chicken on it! I tried the wedgie, and the combo of the friend green tomato and fried chicken with ranch was perfection!

Everyone in my group loved the breakfast at Pine State! We ventured here multiple times for breakfast this week- rotating through the menu trying lots of options! We loved all of them- BEC/SEC, Reggie, Chatfield & more! The biscuit alone is to die for- but add on the eggs, cheese, bacon, chicken, gravy and jam- wahoo! Try them all!

These people know how to do biscuits.I had the hash up with a fried egg and pulled pork with a biscuit on the side. The biscuit is a monster, it's not a small biscuit and I love the crusty outside. The give you butter to go with it, but I think jams or jelly were extra and I thought that was odd.I came here after working out in the morning and I was really looking forward to my hash up with extra proteins on it. My biggest complaint and this is probably my fault, is that I assumed asking for a fried egg on top would be a sunny side up egg and I was craving a yummy yolk. So I was bummed that the egg was fried all the way through. I asked if I should've ordered it sunny side up or if this is always the way the friend egg comes and the guy who brought our food said yes. He also said he would've brought me out a sunny side egg to make up for it, but they were too busy. It was still good, just not what I expected. It's cool, next time I will know better if I ever come back. There is almost always a line so you know it's good.

This brucnh joint is located in a nice lil neighborhood. This place has outdoor and indoor seating. The place was very busy with people ordering dine in and take out. During the busy hours there are people standing around waiting for their food. You order your food and find a seat. They give you a number and bring you out your food. The food is alright and I wouldn't brag about it. If you are looking for biscuits place with every meal.this is your place. If you are looking for a variety of breakfast food this is not your place. Also they serve alcohol. Who does not like that.

Free 2 hour street parking. Small restaurant, order first with self seating and self serve water, utensils, and hot sauce. You also clean your spot when you're done. Can be on the heavier side and is super filling. There is a choice between sausage or mushroom gravy. I got the sausage gravy with my Reggie Deluxe sandwich. Overall good flavor and had a good chicken portion. I'd come again if I was craving something heavy for breakfast.

Order: The Reggie w/ sausage gravyPros: So I came here before and left an okay review. Since then, I have come several times and I think this place had to grow on me. While things are not super seasoned, it is pretty good. They also have Texas Pete which helps with adding kick and a little flavor. Cons: I hate that you cant call in to place in order.

Pine State is always a must stop when we're in Portland and this trip they were delicious as usual. I absolutely love biscuits and try to find some wherever we travel, and haven't found any as good as Pine State's, not even in some well known spots in the South.Pine State's biscuits have the perfect combo of flavor, buttery-ness and flaky-ness, and I'm already craving more... Also, all the staff there are always so nice and helpful.

Had a massive (albeit pricey) order for our group of 5, so we were able to sample a bit of everything. Had the following biscuits: the reggie, veggie reggie, bbq biscuit, wedgie, brisket biscuit.I liked the wedgie (fried chicken + fried green tomato) and reggie, the latter was drowned in a fantastic gravy. I tried the veggie reggie, which was also comparably delicious! Would prob come back for these biscuits, but would pass on the bbq biscuit and brisket biscuit as the bbq components were alright. Did take a while for our order, but was expected based the size of it. Very filling, and very high in sodium (chugging water the remainder of the day). Not too much seating (3 low tables, and bar height seating for 8 or so ppl).

Second time I've eaten at one of the Pine State locations and it is just as good as I remembered from 2016. You k ow food is good when you remember it from 8 years ago. The biscuits are beautiful, both gravies divine and the jams are delicious. Highly recommend eating here when in the area!
