A true gem. The food and drinks are consistently awesome, exceeded only by the tremendous service. They have a great model whereby every employee takes care of every table and a flat gratuity is automatically applied to the check. This results in everyone being taken care of extremely well. I also love the decor - it feels great no matter where you're seated. I met the owner, Ricky, and he is super friendly and works alongside his crew, setting an example of service that permeates everywhere. But to get back to the food, it really is exceptional- the quality and flavor is top notch. I recommend the crab dip, the fried chicken, and any of their cocktails are delightful. Perfect for a special occasion or any occasion, really. Go check it out!

Loved the vibe here. Came in last minute. There's a variety of types of drinks both alcoholic and N/A. They have vegan options and was very happy with the ones I choose. Espresso martini tasted like I just smoked a cigarette, not my fav but everything else was amazing. My group loved their meals as well. No complaints and will be back!

What a fun place! Great open space with bright colors. Lot's of tropical drinks and N/A cocktails. Service was great. I only had a light snack but it was very tasty. Lots of good food on the menu to try next time.

My friend (vegetarian and gluten-free) and I grabbed dinner at Palomar before our show at the Funhouse Lounge nearby. The atmosphere was fun and lively, with a great Cuban vibe. Service was on point - friendly and super fast! For drinks, I got the Matcha Flip, which came with a cute little palm tree decoration. It was visually appealing, but the taste itself was just alright. As for the food, I wasn't blown away by my Arroz Frito. While the portion was generous with plenty of shrimp and pork belly, the overall flavor profile wasn't quite there for me.My friend enjoyed a Jackfruit Ropa Vieja Tostada that worked well with her dietary restrictions. We both ended with a dessert - Tres Leches for me (meh) and Flan for her (I should've gone for the flan - yum!)Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Palomar. The service was fantastic, and the ambiance was enjoyable. While the food and drinks weren't our favorites, we still had a good time.

Sat a large group inside for early dinner on a weeknight. We had a lovely and attentive server (can't recall her name, but she's a keeper). We covered a wide spread of the menu, literally everything was amazing and generously portioned. Can't speak to the vibes of course, but definitely a place I plan to revisit at different hours of the day/night.

We were there on a Tuesday night so the ambience was fairly mellow. Plenty of room at the bar. Which was a delightful place to be. Our bartender Jordan is a highly skilled and knowledgeable bartender. It was a pleasure talking with him and when we asked for the, highly decadent Ramos gin, fizz he delivered the best I've ever had not an easy cocktail to master, but he definitely knew what he was doing. We didn't have any food so I can't provide input on that, but it was the perfect and to a great evening. Highly recommend.

Palomar is one of my favorite cocktail bars in Portland, Oregon. It lives up to its reputation as a hot spot in town for drinks and tapas with friends. As always the service is excellent, and there are many photo opportunities inside the restaurant. The jackfruit tostado is delicious and surprisingly filling. Obsessed with the tostadas because the sauce is very creamy. The sour is my favorite cocktail. Super delicious! Make sure to order the gin shots infused with pineapple for $5!

I'm happy to have tried this place. The ambiance was inviting and the service was friendly and quick. My husband and I arrived at 5:30 ish on a Tuesday and it was not busy at all. We got some cocktails and an appetizer and shared a plate. The drinks were very good with some classic to original options. The food was also good. I enjoyed everything we got. I probably would not come back just because the prices were a bit more than I feel worth the meal. Portion size is smaller than I would expect for a $30 plate of fried rice. All and all it was good but I've had better and for less.

As a non-drinker this place had fantastic mocktails. The wings are TO DIE FOR. The pork belly and shrimp fried rice is TO DIE FOR. We did it family style so that we could each try some of everything and those two melted my brain with how good they are. You'd expect either to be throw away menu items for less adventurous diners but to me, they were the stars of the show. The wings were crispy and perfectly seasoned. You could get that as a main and be really pumped. The pork belly and shrimp fried rice had tons of shrimp and the pork belly was nice and crispy all around. None of those undercooked soggy pork belly bites in this dish! Service is a bit slow if you go with a large group BUT that is offset by the fact that you can make a reservation in advance for a large group. Beggars can't be choosers.

I really like Palomar - I always enjoy my drinks. They feel tropical and fun, but not as sweet, which is perfect. Some of the food has been really delicious! We really enjoy the ambiance (Miami vice vibes per Yelp Man)! Love the open windows. We had croquetas, ceviche, lechon mojo, fried okra, grilled pineapple salad, and vaca frita. Table was a fan of the fried okra and the Lechon! I was meh on croquetas and vaca frita. Pineapple salad was good, but not necessary. Yelp man feels he was pushed to a 4, while pulling me back from a 5. Yelp man wants to sit not perch, desiring more chair option downstairs, rather than stools. He also wanted a full set of silverware. Bonus points for sauce that came with the fried okra. In fact, he gives two thumbs up on all dips overall. We will definitely be back and would recommend, especially on a nice summer night!
