5/5 chicken wings. I took ma here and she actually enjoyed eating the wings and said the chicken was juicy, skin was crispy, and there was a good amount of garlic. Everything flavor profile wise was good, we got the traditional fish sauce wings, and an order of the banh khot (small turmeric rice cake crisps filled with shrimp). The banh khot was cooked well, just wish we could get more lettuce with our dish as traditionally you eat it by wrapping it in the lettuce leaf (they only gave us two). It's a bit awkward when you come here as it's more of a bar than a restaurant- but wait by the door and the bartender will greet you. The music they play here is a bit intense and definitely not family friendly. But the food is good!

Decided to make a weekend trip from Seattle to Portland and so happy we found this hidden gem in dt Portland. Being Lao and Vietnamese, I was super excited to try a Lao/Vietnamese fusion restaurant. We tried the Banh Khot (first time ever having this) and it was delicious! It was light and crispy on the outside and cooked to perfection! Also, I highly recommend the Firecracker wings. There was so much flavor with the right amount of kick, and the seasoning was spot on. So many reasons to check out this place.1. Amazing food2. Super friendly and attentive staff 3. Relaxing and chill vibe with awesome music to enjoy Really wish I could give this place a 20 stars, they really went above and beyond to provide a great experience, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and no doubt our go to place whenever we visit Portland!! Thank you so much, we can't wait to visit you guys again!!!

During my recent trip to Oregon to visit my brother, I stumbled upon this restaurant that offers a fusion of Vietnamese and Lao cuisine. We tried a variety of their chicken wings, each boasting its own distinct flavor profile. Among them, the Snow Velvet wings stole the show with their dry rub, dust with a delicious fluffy cheese flavor. The Hot Passion wings, generously coated in a passion fruit and habanero sauce. And let's not forget the Fire Cracker wings, seasoned with a fragrant blend of kaffir leaves, which offered an explosion of flavor in every bite. The Tangy Tamarind Rib Bites were another standout dish, boasting a balance of flavors and textures, with a crispy exterior giving way to tender, succulent meat inside. However, the true star of the meal was the Nem Khao Salad. Fresh, vibrant, and bursting with an abundance of herbs and crunch, it was a palate-pleasing delight that left a lasting impression. To our delight, the owner treated us to a sneak peek of their latest creation - crispy salt and pepper prawns. These prawns were seasoned to perfection, with a wonderfully crispy exterior and juicy, flavorful interior.Their dedication to authentic flavors and excellent service make it a place I'd like to come back to.

Yum!! This place definitely hit the spot. I was craving chicken wings while I was on the plane and when we landed, this place stood out to me. Why?! I mean besides the name, the wing flavors, and it was also the other offerings. To start, the fact that they had green Thai tea was already huge brownie points. And the added bonus is that it came out like a root beer float was unexpected. Yum, it's like a drink and dessert built into one. The nem Kao was something I've had maybe a small handful of times prior, but nom nom wings sure made this encounter memorable. It was well balanced in flavor, crispy and crunchy in texture, and the provided herbs pulled the entire dish together and made it refreshing.Vietnamese street corn, though someone noted it was bland, I have a weak spot for corn. And I'm glad I didn't let that review turn me off because it was anything but bland. I'm usually not a fan of those dried micro shrimps because people don't fully hydrate them and it's the aldente texture (which I dislike), but this place did it right. The corn was very flavorful and it sort of reminded me of banh beo.Now onto the wings and rib bites. We tried 4 different wing flavors: salt pepper, passion fruit habanero, snow, and fire cracker. Salt and pepper reminded me of the salt and pepper prawns with the onion and jalapeno slices. The snow wings are what stood out the most with its yeasty, cheesy, non overwhelming goodness and hint of sweetness. Passion fruit habanero had a slight kick to it, but it was just maybe a little too sweet for my liking but the sweet and spicy does work together. Fire cracker wings were also a best seller per the staff and it was simple, yet straight forward, and not overwhelmingly spicy or anything. Rib bites reminded me of my husband's deep fried ribs in lard that is tossed in BBQ sauce afterwards, except it was tossed in tamarind sauce, yumm! The off menu surprise of salt and pepper prawns sure did hit the spot after I had the salt and pepper wings. The prawns were huge and probably one of the tastiest salt and pepper prawns I've had to date. Well seasoned, well balanced, and not salty (which is something I tend to complain about). And let's not forget zero waste as the shells were edible and it didn't get caught in the back of my throat.Ended this meal with fried banana fritters and coconut ice cream. Gosh the crushed peanut sprinkled on the ice cream was something so simple but yet made a huge difference. The fried banana fritter was more of a secret fat kid's guilty pleasure at the Fair type of moment. Crunchy and yet so silky soft in the middle with a bite, not just melted goo.I'd highly recommend and I'd for sure come back. This place was bomb.com in my books.

During their soft opening, I had the pleasure of trying this new wings spot in Portland, and it's safe to say it ranks highly on my list. Although the wait time for food was longer than expected given the few customers, the quality and taste of the dishes made up for it. We indulged in the nom nom wings, salt and pepper wings, and a side of fries. Each dish was a standout, with both types of wings boasting an impeccable crispiness that's not easily found elsewhere. The salt and pepper wings were particularly noteworthy for their robust flavor that was flavorful yet not overly salty, which is a delicate balance to achieve. The nom nom wings were an excellent blend of sweet and salty, a combination that was both unique and satisfying. The ambiance was welcoming, and the experience has left me eager to return and explore more of their menu. For those in Portland looking for wings that truly stand out, both in flavor and quality, this is a place you won't want to miss.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends to try out this restaurant. We came a bit late and our friends were already seated and we joined them. We ordered an abundance amount of food and it all came out orderly which gave us time to taste it. The wings are graciously seasoned and tasted like their names. My favorite from the batch would be the Snow Velvet wings - which is a cheddar powder with dried parsley sprinkles. All of the wings are flavorful and easy to share. If you're looking to try out a new restaurant in the area, come and give this location a try.

The ribs were fried and tossed in sauce. Great flavor and definitely tangy. I added some chilis to make it tangy & spicy. I also tried the Hot Passion wings. Sweet and spicy! Served with pickled radish to counter balance the spice if you can't handle it. Good portions. Would come back to try other dishes!

The location is kinda hidden but their food certainly shouldn't be!We got the Banh Khot and two sets of 12 wings to share. With each set you can get two sauces. We tried the Snow Velvet, Nom Nom, Firecracker, and Salt-n-Pepa. Honestly they were all tasty but the Firecracker and the Nom Nom were must-trys and I would skip the Snow Velvet next time. Each wings were huge, meaty, and perfectly fried. The wings lived up to their namesake for sure but don't skip on the Banh Khot though! They're like mini Banh Xeo. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. I could down 10 of these. 10/10 would recommend. They also go themed house cocktails that were fun and pretty to drink.

Glad I stopped by this place! The wings are so tasty and flavorful! You can't go wrong with their wings. I was glad to see that the wings were a good size and the sauces were so yummy! I also got their shrimp salad rolls and Thai tea that were both good. The service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!
