NOM NOM Restaurant & Grill

I would highly recommend this restaurant! We searched for a yummy place near Vancouver waterfront and this place popped up on yelp. It was way more crowded than expected - took about 45 minutes to get seated, but our schedule allowed us to wait so we didn't mind.We ended up ordering a bunch of different dishes - crispy fried tofu sticks with yummy peanut butter sauce, deep fried potstickers, lemon grass chicken bahn mi (good, but even better with the peanut butter sauce from the tofu appetizer, the pad sew ew with tofu and the popular chicken noodle curry soup. The curry soup was delicious, and filled with vegetables and chicken; after enjoying the noodles, I added a bit of rice to make a second dish! We added some spicy chili oil to the soup and noodles and the dishes had an even brighter flavor! We parked across the street at the parking garage and paid $4 for 2 hour parking. (They didn't offer validated parking).

I've not been here in years, and was very disappointed in the food. Service was great and the atmosphere is wonderful, but again, the food. We got a couple drinks, tasted like suntan lotion, fried rice (was just rice looked like), wonton soup (wontons were flavorless and no amount of condiments saved the bland, salty broth, and the calamari as an appetizer (rubber, no salt or flavor on the batter, went down hill fast) and the sauce added nothing but sweet mayo. I really hope they can figure it out or maybe just an off night on our order as I remember this being a unique, flavorful and great place. I will try again soon.

This was the absolute worst service I've ever had in my life. Ready to enjoy a late lunch, we were one of three occupied tables in the entire restaurant. We walked in, and it took us 5 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we were completely ignored for 15 minutes. I started timing it because the table seated after us had their drink and food order taken by this point.After over 15 minutes of sitting there, we were actually getting up to leave and go somewhere else (which I've never done before in my life), and they came over to take our food order.After 20 more minutes, our food finally came out. At this point, we've been here for 45ish minutes with just two glasses of water on the table.My meal was delicious - drunken noodle. My husband's meal was the nom nom plate with pork. He had HUGE chunks of fat on his pieces of pork, and it was actually kind of gross. Maybe this is why they don't offer pork as a meat selection for a majority of their dishes?We were finally ready to leave, and I asked for a small box. Clearly, they forgot. Another server walked up and asked if we wanted a box. 10 minutes passed, and $40+ later for two entrees and waters, I finally got my box. As we walked out of the restaurant, our server and the hostess didn't even acknowledge us or say thanks for coming in. Nothing.How is it possible to have service this bad when there are only 3 occupied tables in the entire restaurant?It is a shame because I had heard great things about this place, but I'll never go back.Overpriced, horrible service, fatty protein. Do better.

The decor inside is very cute and all over the walls. The windows were painted too. I came here because the nom nom wings location was packed. We got front row parking at this location and to a nearly empty restaurant. The wings were very juicy and had a nice crisp for the first bite. The salt and pepper calamari, the flavor was good and I loved the sauce however it was a tad over cooked and rubbery. We still cleared the plate and I loved jalapeños and onions served with that dish!

Great find. I enjoyed the vegetarian pineapple fried rice and my spouse enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao.

Horrible food and horrible service. The food was like something out of a bad cafeteria and the service was like something out of a bad gas station.

I was in the mood for Thai food and this was the closest spot near my hotel. It's located next to Regal movie theater. Service was friendly. The pad Thai with chicken was flavorful but the noodles were on the tougher side and the chicken was too dry for me. The crispy duck curry was good but the mild curry was too spicy for me. The Thai iced coffee was decent.

I've been coming here for years. I love the decor and their garlic wok with chicken is my go to. Excellent flavor, and the food usually comes out pretty quickly! Friendly staff.

I tried their char grilled pork banh mi sandwich again. I actually tried it once couple years ago and found it was too dry.Perhaps they started marinating the pork or changing the grilling method, the char grilled pork banh mi sandwich was much better. It was juicier this time. There is some sort of sauce with shredded carrot at the bottom of the sandwich. It made the sandwich less dry. I wish it had even more sauce. But all in all, it was very good.

We have enjoyed Nom Noms food in the past, however the customer service lacks greatly. We made reservations for 4 a couple of weeks ago and upon our arrival, we were told they are not open because there is a private event going on. I was confused and stepped outside to call my friend who made the reservation and when I went back inside to inform them that we had reservations, the lady said they were trying to cancel all reservations... WHAT? A phone call, text, or email would have been extremely helpful. No apology, just odd looks!
