Probably the best cacio e pepe I've had in my life, including in Italy (and I don't say this lightly)

Got some good cocktails and small bites from this bar in Burnside. It has a classy yet casual feel. Noble Rot is known for the bar upstairs. Has pretty okay prices for the location. The upstairs has pretty good views. Cocktails are the best things to get. It's also got a food menu. There's mostly the usual fried stuff. A lot of it is meaty. Seriously few good things for vegans and vegetarians. It's about $10 for the cheapest cocktails. The best we had was Sex With A View. Also it's the name of the cocktail we got. This is made with apricot, cranberry, lavender, lime, Monopolowa vodka, and pineapple. It's about $10 for appetizers. The only good one they had was the Onion Rings. Has a pretty cool atmosphere. It's located on East Burnside Street at 11th. This is closed on Sundays.

Noble Rot in Portland, Oregon, is a rooftop vibe in the heart of a cute, vibrant neighborhood. With both open-air rooftop seating and cozy indoor options. We opted for the cheeseboard and all the salads, and the freshness of the ingredients was undeniable--I'm convinced the lettuce was picked today! The salads were crisp and satisfying. The buzzing energy of the place added to the fun. Noble Rot is definitely a spot to return to!

First time back in ~20 years from when they were located on SE Ankeny. Wow, I knew I was walking into a top notch wine venue, but I had mediocre expectations of the food. Everything our table of four ordered was top notch, so good. The potato and leek soup was creamy, full of flavor, and an ample portion. The Halibut juicy, the brown butter vinaigrette heavenly. The homemade spaghetti was a hit.My favorite item was the Burrata small plate which included fried capers. It's ample enough to serve as an entree. The only meh item was the pickle plate. The Peanut Butter and Jelly dessert is their marquee item for good reason: get it. The creme brûlée about par for the course. The server was professional and thorough, a little too much upsell, but polite about it.

Really had a nice time with a friend who was hoping for a real Northwest dining experience. Our server was super attentive and knew the menu inside and out. All the food was really flavorful, and the wine flights were a great way to enjoy a range of wines. I felt quite happy with my salad which had a nice cornucopia of flavors. The pickles and cheese plates were perfect together. Would definitely recommend for a nice evening out!

We each came in and selected a wine flight to enjoy with the meat plate as an appetizer. Do not skip this meat plate! What a treat. After reading reviews on Yelp, I was determined to get the endive salad. The flavors were great but the portion was on the small side. As for entrees, I elected to get the pasta of the day, a homemade tagliatelle with a mushroom sauce. Two of us ordered this while the other two ordered burgers. All entrées were absolutely incredible. Luckily, we saved enough room to share desserts and enjoyed those as well.I've only visited in the winter months, but would love to come back in summer to experience the patio. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back.

It was fine. The wine flights are nice and the Rot Meat Plate was exceptional despite having one of the worst names of the century. My main dish was pork with cherries and onions which were incredible together but with no starch as a side it felt overbearing. I watched with envy as my friends who ordered the hanger steak and potatoes enjoy their more sensibly designed meal. They let me try some and it was really good. But much like a tryst with a beautiful stranger you must eventually return back to your disappointing partner who makes you less of a man. If my girlfriend reads this please know this is just a metaphor I'm not cheating on you or unhappy with out relationship although this would be the funniest place for a confession. It's not just the lack of a side by the way, there were entirely too many cherries where by the time I finished the pork I had like 9 more cherries to go. It's hard to see from the picture but there's a whole bed of just cherries under the pork. I watched a beautiful sunset at one of the nicest views in town with people I care about but I'll most remember the feeling of working through too many cherries when I think of Noble Rot. It was also expensive but full disclosure I didn't pay. The service was lovely though and I appreciate their philosophy and approach to sourcing their own vegetables on the roof. You should go here if you like eating at cool places with deceptively few menu options. Honestly struggling to give this even a four but I like that this is here I guess

Came here by myself the other night to enjoy some wine and entree. The server was so sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful in deciding what I should get. I was so blown away bet the meal I landed on:VEGAN ENTREE OF THE DAY$28.00Kuri squash risotto with Brussels sprouts, Chanterelle mushrooms & Futsu squash; fried kale, harissa & cashew nut butterSo local, fresh, and absolutely insane pairing of flavors. Although, I must say- skip the bread and butter. It was cold and borderline stale. Low lit lighting and cozy atmosphere paired well against the rainy Portland skyline. Views are great!

If I ever have a friend going through hard times, wondering if life is worth it, I'm bringing them here. This meal was incredible. My wife and I went and got a great spread, including the carrot soup, buratta, cacio e pepe, and the Panna cotta, as well as a wine flight and two cocktails.I don't really know how else to say it, other than you can TASTE the soul and care and attention and effort in these dishes. Everything had just absurd amounts of flavor, and every bite, and every moment *within* each bite brought new dynamics and observations and facial expressions out. Aside from just being beautifully presented, the flavor was pretty much unparalleled to anything I've eaten since moving to Portland. The service was top notch, and every dish and drink had a thoughtful explanation by the server. The back patio was absolutely stunning in the late evening sun, and between the sunset and food, I think I might have even teared up once. Stop scrolling through restaurant reviews now. This is it. This is the one. Go. You can thank me later

Noble Rot on a Wednesday night. In Portland for a conference and this place has great reviews and grows most of their vegetables. Took an Uber to this place and then decide to walk back from here to the Hyatt Regency... not to far. This location is cute as we stepped inside and took an elevator up to the restaurant. The restaurant is small so they do recommend reservations, which we had. We started with 2 "Buffalo Summers " which were tasty and looked great. The Burrata, which is charred figs, tahini, and black olive herb focaccia, fig, leave honey, and sesame brittle. Then for dinner husband and I split the Korean BBQ Lamb T-bones. Along with a flight of wine, which is 3 glasses of half pours of 3 different wines for $15.00. Best thing in my opinion was the drinks and the wine. I felt everything else was a bit overpriced. It does have a nice 4th floor urban view.

Went last night with my sister-in-law. Our meal from beginning to end was outstanding. Each of our cocktails was tasty and fun. Our attentive waiter brought my SIL wine samples when she could not decide between two. The salad was toothsome and well-composed and our entrées (we each got the vegan dish with two-squash purée, sunchokes, Cipollini onions, pistachio & sesame curry granola, pomegranate): wow. Kudos to the chef for coming up with that exquisite combination of flavors and textures. You know a dish is fantastic when you wake up thinking about it the next morning. We passed on dessert only because, well, Halloween candy! The vibe was stellar and we had a great time. Highly recommend!
