Nick's Famous Coney Island

Nicks is old school Italian . I would half expect to see Rizzo or Kramer here . New York at its best . Coney Island everything. I've had both a single and a double coney dog . Never disappointed . Sure , they have sandwiches , too , but the dogs come from Olympic Provisions , and taste great . Nice selection of beer. They have motorcycle parking only , that is close , so I bring my ride . So , I will come here more often , as I feel at home .Oh . And wouldn't it be prudent to have Yankees on all the time??

Good little dive bar. They have some beers at good prices, enough TV's that they can have Sunday Ticket, and the food is pretty good. I had the Chili Cheese Fries which were a good size and my buddy got a dog which I didn't try. Hot dogs are a little pricey for hot dogs, but looked good. Bartender was friendly too.

This place rocks. The negative reviews are weird. One person is frustrated because it was wing week and another got upset due to a dog licking them. If you're looking for some delicious good ol' American plop, then this is your jam.

This place is still here, and hopefully, it's not going anywhere soon. The interior is still pretty much the same with a nostalgic vibe. For Burger Week, they have a special Jersey Burger being served and a limited menu. The Burger is pretty filling and tasty. They also have RC Soda from the gun (which is rare these days)

I guess it was okay? The bartender was friendly but did a *lot* of complaining about the houseless people in Portland, which seemed a bit ignorant and frankly unnecessary. The menu was limited due to wings week or something, which wasn't why I was there, but I guess it wasn't a crisis. The wings were pretty good, in the end. Not normally what I would get but didn't have a lot of options. Not the most welcoming atmosphere, in the end.

Dog friendly inside! Football Sunday breakfast specials! Get anything with the pork roll on it if you like bacon/spam/scrapple etc.

Had their hatch green chili burger for burger week 2024. Looked nothing like the burger image featured on Portland Mercury. The mercury image shows almost a smash burger style patty with clear crusting and caramelization. The beef patty I got was flavorless, patty looked and tasted like it came from a freezer, wasn't crusted and caramelized like a smash burger. The only decent thing was the hatch chilis but sorry not worth it at all.

It's been a few minutes since I have been there. Our family grew up going to Nicks. Decided to run across town and pick up a few quarts of coney sauce to have for watching games today. Sauce was totally on point. Great taste and texture with a nice kick. Met Stephan at the bar. He's a great guy . Sitting waiting for my food I just remember all the times going with my grandfather dad and uncles. It was great to be back at an iconic portland establishment. I could hear Frank, the commander, and herbie in my head. Such a special place. Looking forward to going back soon as my three boys now hang out there now.

Vicious attacks to your tastebuds.... It's a boxing themed bar so yes, pun intended. If you don't see stars while watching an amazing meal being served, well.... Have a beer. The single coney and fries paired nicely with a margarita. The staff was very cheerful and had a great sense of humor. Bring quarters... it's a surprise.

Nick was awesome, welcomed us like if he knew us and told us a little about himself. Vibes are great and food was really good. Coney dog 10/10
