OK, I have a lot to say... I was really excited to try them and I have to say that was some of the best customer service I have ever received. My friend and I were new to their menu and she is one of those FOMO people ho has to try everything the seasonal menu has to offer. So we needed their help a lot for completely different reasons. They are right on Burnside which is fine unless it isn't ...IYKYK. But it was easy to pop in and get seating, though ... friends who are also mobility challenged... be aware that most of their seating is barstool type. Mini rant here at new businesses that are doing this trend to make more space by cramming these in. So there were two tables with flat seating and those were the only tables taken up by others because no one likes to sit on a barstool as they are very uncomfortable for everyone and they are very very painful for those of us who are disabled. Thankfully I can sort of position myself to not be so bad but my friend was nearly crying after we ate. And, please don't suggest us folks with crippling anxiety ask people to leave their table for us. I ordered badly, sort of... I am not a vegan but I have grown up with close friends who are. I am not good with some of the textures like vegan cheese or tofu. Looking at their menu I saw that they make their own quinoa and mushroom burgers which sounded delicious! And it was! I got the artisan signature burger which comes on a sprouted grain bun with garlic thyme mayo, avocado, tomato and lettuce. I had them add grilled onions. I was not expected the mayo to be so thyme forward and I was not mad at that but all I could really taste was the sprouted bun which was a whole lot of WHOA. So, I would really want the regular bun since I am also not big on a pretzel bun. Next, no cheese... Also, I wanted to try the sweet potato fries and the tater tots. Loved the tots and the sweet potato fries were good but VERY sweet. BUT, let me tell you - my friend got the fries with chili bowl... HOLY F... Honestly, I would order the crap out of that any day of the week! Again, I ordered badly for me. Now I will write a sonnet about their soda. Everyone focuses on the shakes. My friend got some crazeballs Halloween inspired thing with gummy worms and pumpkin spice?? Like whiskey tango foxtrot...you do you... I can't, I just... BUT, I am a simple person... and I HATE wanna be colas. Like, seriously just give me a Coke or a Pepsi (I am GLARING at you RC). I was looking at the wall of I don't want to drink 'flavored' fizz water and was like, "Fine, give me a COLA which I will likely loathe." I was shocked as I took a hateful sip and said it was actually FREAKING DELICIOUS! Colorado Cola... you are tasty!I am excited to go back and try out more things. And they have so many different options for everyone!

Honestly I LOVE this NLB more than any other location. They're right by Providence Park, so I can roll in and enjoy food before a Timbers or Thorns game. And fill up on REALLY delicious not greasy food. Now if you've never had NLB, their onion rings are HANDS DOWN my favorite. They're crispy and fried to perfection. Not greasy like some end up floppy and disgusting because they're covered in grease. I love the original patty if I get a burger, which is usually me since I don't like fried food. But I tried the limited edish Steak sandwich which had Meati steak on it and HOT DANG wowsa. I love that you can indulge that fast food craving without leaving feeling sick or heavy or gross. NLB has sweet employees and they're always helpful and kind at this location. It's a drive for us but worth it because the Lake O location is inconsistent.

I'm not a vegan or even vegetarian. My wife is. Every once in a while we will find a vegan place to eat at. Normally it is hard for me to find anything really satisfying for the carnivore in me. Today was different. Three of us went and all ordered a different Chkn sandwich. I was blown away. Everything they say about the quality of the food is spot on. I couldn't believe it wasn't chicken. The patty was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Sweet potato fries were pretty good too. The bag I got was stuffed and was enough for the three of us to share. We all agreed we'd be back soon.

Was soo excited to try this place after realizing it was completely vegan and pretty close to us. I tried the Maverick Pub Burger with sweet potatoes fries and a cookie and cream shake. All the food was good but DEFINITELY nothing special for the price you pay!!! We probably spent just about $50 for the two of us, $10 just coming from a 'large' side of fries (not large at all). Shake was just ok. I mixed the soy and coconut base and didn't love the coconut taste with the cookies and cream flavor. Will not be coming back unless the prices become reasonable.

One of the things I've always loved about Portland is the relative lack of the big name fast food joints in the inner city. You know the ones. Next Level Burger is kind of like one of those fast food joints... But they're doing things a little bit differently: they are 100% vegan. And for me that means I'm happy to see them around the city!This newest location on W Burnside is pretty fancy. It has a parking lot - a big deal for this area. It has multiple ways of ordering - regular counter ordering, a walk up window outside, or contactless digital ordering inside. It has a small amount of indoor and outdoor seating. (No drive-through though.)NLB's menu options include burgers, 'chicken' sandwiches, milkshakes, and they've got all sorts of fries too. They've got different kinds of meat replacements, from mushroom-based to black bean to chik'n to fish-less filets to Beyond Burgers. Whatever you go with, you'd be hard pressed to claim it doesn't taste the same as meat options, or better. If you don't know what to order, ask the friendly staff - they know their menu inside and out and can make a recommendation. Customer service here is above and beyond any other fast food joint.
