Namaste Indian Cuisine - Portland

Very solid Indian food buffet however if you easily tire from a lack of variety of cuisines you won't like here. Everything here has curry essence (duh) so please make sure you can stomach that. I only say this because we heard some customers come here complaining there wasn't variety, you're at an Indian buffet! They have carry a variety of meat cooked dishes, from fried fish, chicken, and lamb. The mango ice cream was refreshing. Make sure to check the giant metal containers of rice as there is plain rice and chicken biriyani rice. The chicken rice was amazing. Only reason why I gave it 4/5 is because of lack of music there, it was super quiet when we arrived and a couple was blasting loud YouTube videos. Some of the items weren't labeled correctly so it was hard to figure out what we were eating tbh. But overall this place was good and I would return.

I've since tried this place since moving closer to it in the past year and it's really improved! I absolutely love their vegetable korma and they have this amazing cauliflower dish that's full of spice and potatoe chunks that's really good too. They mix up the dishes so it's not constantly the same options which is nice too. The little flat circle potatoe cakes are amazingly addictive!!!

What kind of biryani do you guys make.... The chef should know how authentic biryani tastes like and looks like... their biryani is total joke no taste at all... making biryani's an art... i think they just boil the chicken and mixed with low quality rice with some spices... it might be because they do buffet and cook food in huge amounts... totally disappointing...

I ordered from Namaste over UberEats and it was delicious! Before I start though, I have read some other reviews that they *might* have different quality between ordering the food delivered versus when you go in person. So, in my experience of getting it delivered, it was delicious.Over the app, Namaste offers so many deals and discounts. My partner and I ordered and were able to get practically 6 entrees for the price of 3 (lots of BOGO) and a couple free appetizers! The portions were generous and everything looked so good. We got the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, paneer naan, chicken biryani, mango chicken, and some samosas (lots of food, but they just had so many deals haha). Everything came piping hot and was delicious. It may not be the best Indian food in Portland, but I don't think you can get a better deal for some good Indian food than here!

I'm not going to lie, I go here, and their food is good--not the tops of cuisine, and may have seen a mouse or two once...in the lobby...but for a weeknight to-go buffet with all the fixings, yes...I guess I'm okay with a mouse or two. I wish I could rate 4 stars, but the place, service and experience is just not there. Again, I go for to-go, but it's cold, empty in the lobby and which is okay, just feel un-welcome. But let's get past that. The food is good, I already said that, but want to reinforce, and plenty of veggie is great. 20$ for a plastic clam shell and your choice of regular or garlic bread (they give at checkout). If you choose right, is a steal! My partner and I usually do two orders and meat in one and veggies in the other, rice--we have...shhh!!! Haha. Nothing to go to for an experience, but just good food at a good price. Can't argue with that. Sorry it started out rough, but sometimes, it just needs to get said.

This place is the bomb. We like an Indian buffet in Spokane, and that one can't hold a candle to this place. 8p and all the trays are at least full, with lots of steaming hot and delicious food. Clean for a buffet! Plus coconut and mango soft serve. If we lived here, I swear we'd make it here on a weekly basis.

Got food delivered from here as my wife and I were craving Indian food, and they just so happened to have a special offer; However from what I've seen and read in other reviews, they are best known for their buffet dinner. Unfortunately I cannot speak to this. My wife and I split a Butter Chicken and a Chicken Tikka Massala. Pricing was reasonable for the quantity. Pretty sizeable chicken chunks and the flavor was solid. My wife preferred the butter chicken but I thought the tikka massala was better; probably because I like spicier curries. All in all a very pleasant experience, and if we find ourselves that side of town, I wouldn't mind giving their sit-down buffet a shot.

The food overall is good. There are many options. It is frustrating that the food is not grouped by meat, non-meat options. The restaurant is very busy and not well maintained. The buffet station has food dropped everywhere. The serving tools were dirty and sticky. Had to get out own water. Couldn't tell how to check out. We never got a bill. Never checked on one. Never had our drink order taken. Ice cream had run out but they were making more. No I've cream cones. Very loud atmosphere. Tables squished together that you can't get up to get out. Prices have gone up $4 and are now $20/per person after 3PM.

Great value for AYCE Indian at lunch or dinner. Wasn't too impressed with overall quality of the dishes offered. If wanting quick sit and eat with ability to eat wide variety of popular Indian dishes, this is place to be.

Nice spread for an Indian buffet, they even had samosas on it! The coconut and mango ice cream were a treat! We'll be back!
