Our first experience at the Multnomah Whiskey Library was for the Kitchen Killa brunch. It was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked up the stairs, a sense of sophistication grew with each step. The ambiance once inside was captivating--the towering wall of whiskey is unlike anything I've seen, and the speakeasy vibe added a fun, intriguing touch. The staff truly made the experience top-notch: friendly, knowledgeable, and refreshingly unpretentious. Now, let's talk about the food. We indulged in the Benedict Chicken and Waffles, Lemon Curd Stuffed French Toast Sticks, and Whiskey Poached Pears, and each dish was a delight in its own way. The poached egg in the Benedict was flawless--honestly, I've never had an egg cooked so perfectly. The gravy was rich with chicken flavor, smooth in texture, and paired wonderfully with the fried chicken, which was crispy without being overly crunchy. My only note was the sweetness of the waffle. The Lemon Curd Stuffed French Toast Sticks, however, were pure indulgence. The lemon zest whipped cream alone could've been a dessert, with its perfect balance of tartness and creaminess. The French toast sticks themselves had a beautifully spiced, crispy exterior with a gooey, tart lemon filling that was absolute heaven. If I can figure out how to replicate them, I'll be in trouble!Lastly, the Whiskey Poached Pears provided the perfect close to the meal. Soft without being mushy, the pears had a strong whiskey flavor that wasn't overly boozy, striking the ideal balance. It was a light, elegant way to end what was otherwise a rich and satisfying brunch.Overall, Kitchen Killa at the Multnomah Whiskey Library combined a sophisticated atmosphere with some truly memorable dishes. We look forward to future events!

Amazing drinks, amazing ambiance, and amazing food! You have to make a reservation to go to the restaurant ($25/person and comes with a leather coaster). I think you can walk in for drinks at the Green Room but the drinks are much better at the restaurant. Looking back at all the different places we ate and drank, this was my favorite.LOVED:* All my drinks* The oysters ($36) - 4 stars: For 6. I could eat 2 dozen. * Caesar Salad ($25) - 4 stars: A bit overdressed and overpriced, but good* Burger ($25) - 4.5 stars: OK, so its a burger but it was so satisfying! Came with crispy, addicting fries.* Whiskey cake ($15) - 4.5 stars: Luscious, rich chocolate cake with a crispy hazelnut layer at the bottom. Reminded me of a Ferrer Rocher - YUM!PRETTY GOOD:* Pork Chop ($35) - 3.5 stars: I was expecting a bone, this was more of a loin. Either way, it was so juicy, would order again* Tempura ($17) - 3.5 stars: Lightly and freshly battered. Came with a deeeelicious sauce and freshly shaved cheese that complemented it all perfectly. DISLIKED:* Boulibasse ($) - 2 stars: Did not like the flavor, had very little soup/sauce, and the seafood didn't taste very fresh.

Good: Lovely interior design, lots to look at while dining. Selection of hard alcohol is unparalleled. Not Great: pushy bar tender - I already paid to get in (Hall Pass) why are you pushing more on me? Food and cocky were mediocre for my taste.

Bloody amazing. This semi-secreted "speakeasy" is above the casual "Green Room" bar/lounge. My party first dined next door at L'il Shalom, and prior to eating, we put our names on the wait list for the Whiskey Library, so it worked out perfectly. (This wasn't the first rodeo for my dining companions. They've been to this bar before and loved it so much, so they knew the routine). After our dinner, we went to the Green Room and we were summoned upstairs to the Whiskey Library soon after we arrived. (It was super cool, being escorted upstairs, up this stately wooden staircase, by a smartly-dressed porter-esque man who, with great flourish, opened the formal door to the Whiskey Library, to the formal space within. It was reminiscent of the porter opening the door to the formal dining room in the Titanic to Leo DiCaprio in the movie. It's like another world awaits beyond the door). And WHAT another world it is. It is exactly how one would imagine a "gentlemen's club" of yore: high ceilings, lots of warm wood, library-like shelves up to the ceiling with higher shelves accessible by rolling brass ladders, a massive and stately bar counter, a huge bricked wall with a massive fireplace, dumb waiters in the wall to the kitchen area, stained glass details embedded in the ceiling, smartly dressed servers rolling serving carts to each seating area (like a fancy dim sum place..... Hopefully, you get the gist. This place is special. You can get any cocktail here that you can imagine or conjure up. The servers are beyond knowledgable about anything related to cocktails and spirits and especially whiskeys. I'm not really into whiskey but I ordered a whiskey sour and it was delicious. My kid and her beau ordered various drinks and they were loving them. John was our server and he was great. The food menu looked wonderful and we decided to get a few desserts. The cheesecake with blueberry compote was delicious, but the Earl Grey creme brûlée was THE BEST creme brûlée any of us had ever had in our respective lives. To DIE FOR. What a special, swanky, wonderful place. Cannot recommend enough.

Beautiful room, amazing selection of whiskeys. I highly recommend sitting at the bar so that you can chat with the bartender as much as you like. He took a lot of time getting to know our taste and making his recommendations. We are not members and hall passes were not available on a Saturday, but we went right when doors opened at 4pm and they had space for us! Would love to go back next time we are in town.

Quid essential PDX! We love the MWL so much that we joined as members! One of the best parts of MWL is the staff that are walking encyclopedias of mixology. Their drink menu is overwhelmingly...never seen so many options under one roof before so if you tell them the flavors you like, they will give you options! I love the drinks are made table-side....its such an art! Definitely give them a go! They also serve lunch...their food is fabulous. The popcorn a MUST!

While adventuring through the downtown area and talking to the people , everyone kept recommending that we try this bar if we liked whiskey and craft cocktails ( who doesn't?). We decided to venture out for food and then make a stop by this place for a drink and to see what all the talk was about! When you walk up there are two doors! One for a restaurant called Green Door and another for the Whiskey Library! They are both part of the same building and owner. We were greeted at the door by the hostess. We did not make a reservation but it was early so we were able to go in and sit immediately! We were told that there was a reservation in 2 hours for the seats they gave us! That was no issue as I didn't plan on drinking for 2 hours with so much sunshine outside. We walked upstairs to the library and were impressed with the ambiance and music playing. We were left with two menus! One for craft cocktails and another "Whiskey Bible"! I was in whiskey wonderland. Reminded me of Whiskey Cake on steroids. We started off with two old fashions. The make them stirred on ice and then served over a large cube with an orange peel and no cherry! I'm not a fan of the cherry so I was very pleased ! Great balance of bitters and simple syrup with a good whiskey pour! I like to taste my whiskey. My wife had two of these and then I had the bartender do a curated flight of three whiskeys based on me telling him what I usually drink! King's County, Rabbit Hole, and Cascade Moon (15 year). I enjoyed 2/3 that fit my taste. The Cascade moon was almost too mellow for me! I don't like a burn but want a little bit and the alc content was 39% where most are higher. Overall I enjoyed it very much! Very nice ambiance, great for a group of friends, no food in library area! I would recommend to any one visiting.

Took my husband here as an anniversary spot and huge shout out to Scott, Jackson, Peyton, and Sky who made the experience so delightful and fun while having amazing cocktails (the harvest sour *chefs kiss*) and phenomenal whiskey flight. The late night popcorn snack was soooo good. I will just note that the server in the library wasn't super personable, but very knowledgeable about the whiskey. Can't wait to go back!

A bunch of my co workers recommended I visit here when I was in Portland. So I did. And it's officially one of my most favorite whiskey spots in the world. And I don't say that lightly. Because I've been to many.I opted in with doing a sampling and now I wish I had stayed longer to sample even more. I liked 2/3 so much I went home and bought some bottles for myself.Everyone here was super knowledgeable and it was a fun tasting experience. The vibe in here is cool, you legit feel like you're at an Ivy League library.
