I ordered bento. The gyoza, chicken and salmon teriyaki were clearly pre-packaged before they were cooked. The salad dressing was watery and weird.I explained I recently had dental surgery and my gums are still a bit sensitive to fried food and grains also rice and grains aren't a good idea either at the moment. I arrived just as they were open. I was the only customer in the restaurant and when I pleasantly asked for more salad rather than rice & steamed gyoza or shumai rather than fried the very curt server Esther said I could not bc the items I ordered 'didn't come that way'. Even after I asked her to ask the chef and offered to pay she resisted and hemmed & hawed when I finally & respectfully asked the chef myself. He agreed.When I was nearly finished eating she commented 'wow, you ate the whole thing and so fast'! I'm 6'4" 200 # and eat at a moderate pace normally . Considering I hadn't had solid food in several days I ate even more slowly as I had to take extra caution bc of the surgery.I have over 30 years experience in restaurant industry and I can't imagine saying the things she said to me. Also, I have been a customer at Mio Sushi ever since they opened and am disappointed entirely with my experience today.

Be careful! The price on the menu is not correct you need to plus an extra $1-$2 per plate they do not tell you if you do not ask for it. The food was a little bit bland

The best I can say is somethings were ok. One of the 3 rolls was inedible. Tempura shrimp that tasted like old oil from the fryer and limp sad cukes coupled with brown avocado. I've never had sushi and thought -this tastes old so that was a first. Bummer since it's close to home but luckily there's lots of good food to opt for. This is a one and done for me. Also, prices on the menu did not match up with the bill. When asked why items were more expensive than what I saw on the menu I was given a shrug and 'inflation' as an answer. That's fine, but change the menu pricing or else it's false advertising.

Just tried Mio today for the first time. I ordered the spicy salmon roll, the (shrimp) tempura roll, and the Salmon Mania roll.The sushi tasted great and I really enjoyed it! My favorite of the three rolls was the shrimp tempura roll, it had perfect portions of all ingredients and was also really big!I ordered take out over the phone, and the employee I spoke with was friendly and even gave me instructions on how to find them. When I picked up my food, they were very kind and asked me about myself which I found to be very charming.The restaurant itself looks very cute, and if I was staying in Portland I would certainly try a dine-in because I really enjoyed my experience!

I just ordered sushi from here, the double crunch w no spicy tuna.... & they still added the spicy tuna to my order. I tried to be civil & pick out the tuna. But there is just no way the sushi is not good at all. Please consider going somewhere else.
