I have gone to this place quite a few times now. The first 2 times years ago it was great, but lately the food hasn't been good at all yet they continue to raise their prices. It now costs about $20 per meal and they give you burnt or overcooked meat and they have become stingy in the salsas they give to you with your meal. They have lost any touch of quality they once had. I have even had issues where I have placed an order told a wait time came at that time and they gave it away to someone else and had me wait an additional 30 minutes for my food that was preordered! I have heard there are other Honduran restaurants out here and I will be giving them my business going forward. This place is not worthy of your money anymore.

Ricas y porciones abundantes. Recomendamos las baleadas y tajadas con carne asada. Como que estás en tu tierra. La horchata también la recomendó. Lo malo que hablen a las 11:30, porque tengo una hambreee.

The menu doesn't have a million things on there, which is great because it has true Honduran staple dishes. That really are delicious The baliadas are sooooooooo GOOD!!The carne asada cooked and seasoned perfectly The fried chicken with plantain chips are delicious as well. The chicken was juicy and fried just right. This Hondureña approves Merendero EstelaI feel lucky that this gem exist

The carne asada con tajadas was *great* (grilled beef with slices of plantain). The people here are very sweet. They cook the dish from scratch as you order, so it will take 15+ minutes. There are some nice picnic tables to sit an eat your food. Also highly recommended is the maracuya (passionfruit) juice - so fresh! The agua de tamarindo is also excellent, if perhaps a little more tart than versions I've tried before (which I like). Prices are around $12/person for the Honduran dinner plates or typical cheap taco prices for the Mexican options. We will be back! Oh, and their homemade hot sauce! Wow! It's very hot, but SO TASTY. Tasted like fresh scotch bonnet or habañero peppers mixed with other ground spices. Note: Parking is a little confusing. There is no street parking on 82nd. As you're heading South on 82nd, just *past* the cart is what appears to be a driveway for the neighboring house. Enter the driveway and turn back toward the cart, and there is a small lot behind the cart.

Read about it in cheap eats, and though we spent a normal amount on dinner it wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the price. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of inexpensive items on the menu from tacos for $1 on up. We went for the pollo con tajadas and the carne asada. Both were delectable! The carne asada was tender and flavorful, the chicken was no doubt crisp but once sauced not quite as crisp. But the flavor was down right mouth watering, the sauce they put on it is from appearances a mayo based sauce with a hint of spice, The fried green bananas were good, the pickled veggies packed a nice bite, and the portions were large. There isn't a lot of seating available at this cart, but that really isn't a reason not to come. We certainly will come back.

Good honduran meals, good burritos, fast and affordable. They've recently erected a large awning and several picnic tables, which improves the experience of waiting for your food.A warning: sometimes their beef is gristly, ask them before you order it.

This is absolutely one of the best Honduran/Mexican food trucks in town. Very friendly customer service, awesome prices, and their savory tacos are amazing!

We ordered one of everything because the menu was a little difficult to understand. At first I was a little apprehensive as the photos didn't look big or super appetizing and I'm not a big fan of plantains. We waited for awhile for the food to come out, probably 15 minutes. It was well worth it, this was easily one of the top 5 Latin American meals that we've ever had. The food was fresh, flavorful, Plates are big and it's a great value. We've been to the more "traditional" Mexican cart directly behind the cart facing the street with a very similar experience. We alternate going to each cart now every week.
