This is a very small space, but there is the option of some outdoor seating. It is order at the counter, and it feels very casual. The food was delicious! We got the pandan waffle with chicken. The chicken is both dairy and gluten free. The waffle is only gluten free. I was not able to partake in the waffle, but my partner and his sister enjoyed it. It also comes with a chili maple syrup, which wasn't quite what we were expecting. It tastes more like Karo, which may be great for you!We also got two versions of The Bowl. I got the sausage (which is SPICY!), and the other version had the pork belly which was super dense and thick and without too much fat. The gravy/sauce on The Bowl is quite pungent, but delicious. It was definitely the favorite of the meals today. We saw other people order the burrito which looked huge!!!Overall 5 stars. We will be back.

Opted for an egg coffee over a long wait in the rain. Not sure how they'll manage such a small space efficiently, but it seems like they haven't quite figured it out yet.For $7, I expected a little less "pre-made" and a little more than what I could achieve at home.I'll probably come back someday and try the food. Like, before 9:30AM. It looked pretty good.

Food is comforting and well executed.Savory, sweet and decent portion size.Service---definitely come here when it first opens or call in an order. Service is SLOOOOOOOW but friendly. Was told that our order would take 20 minutes, then close to an hour later, we checked in with someone who told us " Oh- yeah we've been calling your name but no one came." A very odd and jarring statement as we were sitting inside within earshot of the counter and looking for our food the entire time. My obvious issue is, our names were never called. As a new establishment, that is NOT a food cart -the customer service ethos just needs to be different--- if you see food sitting on the counter its you and your staff's responsibility to make sure that food gets out to your customer, and not to indirectly blame your patrons when you didn't execute on your end. Anywho, the food was just that good, that even though my food was cold and a little soggy, and I was irritated by the lack of communication - it was still REALLY good. Annoyed but satisfied.

My boyfriend and I were so excited to try Memoire Ca Phe after hearing about a new Vietnamese fusion brunch place opening up!Ambiance: 4.7/5This little spot is bright and lively, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a brunch date. It can get a bit tight inside, but they offer outdoor seating, which is a great option!Service: 5/5The staff were attentive and friendly! We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, but our orders were taken promptly, and the wait time for food was surprisingly short.Food:- Peaches and Cream Matcha: 4/5This drink tasted more like peaches, with the matcha flavor being quite subtle, but it was overall good- Hojicha Banana Bread: 4.5/5My favorite item! It was tasty, but I couldn't really taste the hojicha at all- The Bowl with Fish Sauce Bacon: 2.5/5While the bacon was actually a thicker pork belly, it was enjoyable. The rice with gravy wasn't to our taste, a bit too soggy and pungent - The Sando with Pork Sausage: 3.9/5I loved the crunchiness of the hash brown. A solid filling breakfast sandwich but the sausage was a bit saltyWe arrived around 1 PM, hoping to try the chicken and waffles or the dac biet waffle, but they had run out, which was disappointing. The sweet waffle was still available, but adding meat wasn't an option.Overall, we had a good time and will return to try the waffles, sweets, or drinks!

The restaurant is very small, clean, but the atmosphere is lacking. There is limited seating especially if it's raining, so get here early! Staff were friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. We tried the cinnamon roll, which had a mild flavor, was dense overall and then a bit doughy in the middle. We also tried one of the bowls which was recommended by staff. Again, it didn't have much flavor.

I will definitely come back on the weekend for the shrimp omelette and biscuits and gravy to provide my overall feel for this place. It's super cozy corner spot of Alberta and NE 15th Avenue with only 5 square table sitting for 2 and bar bench sitting for 4 along the right side of the store facing 15th Ave. There was no outside sitting during this visit. The staff sat at 1/5 square table in the corner also facing 15th Ave. I suggest plan accordingly if you have big party and or during their peak hours or on the weekend. I didn't care much for the two drinks I got. I applauded their creativity with the flavors and the textures mixed for the đặc biệt waffle gf!Cà phê trứng $7: it didn't do anything for me. I did appreciate that it was overly sweet nor tasted all eggy like some places. Beside this, the texture was a bit creamy for my preference. The coffee wasn't as strong for my taste. Pandan coconut $8: I think that what it called but I can't remember exactly. It was too bland for me. Hoiicha banana bread $4: I liked the chunk of banana for taste and texture, and not overly sweet. Otherwise it's not something I would crave or order again. Đặc biệt waffle (gf) $17: fish sauce bacon, arugula pandan waffle, fried egg* spicy syrup, fried garlic. As I mentioned above, I appreciate their innovative for texture and flavor for this dish: chewy from thicker waffle, savory of spicy syrup, thick cut and moist fish sauce bacon, runny fried egg, and fresh green arugula were all got along nicely! If you like your bacon crispy and waffle crunchy, this is not your dish. I didn't see any self serve water station and I wasn't got offered water. Clean, roomy, gender neutral one stall restroom with bright green walls. I'm planning to come back with friends to check out their weekend menu and will update this review. The shrimp omelette, biscuits and gravy sounds delicious!Follow and or check their instagram page for the most updated hours and menu as they still iron out logistics and staff for being recently opened. This is their September hours as I'm writing this review. hours this monthwed - sun8am - 2pmP.Y. No toilet seat covers.

New breakfast/coffee spot serving Vietnamese coffee, brunch dishes and Asian inspired baked good options like black sesame cinnamon rolls. A great addition to the area. The service was very friendly, and the food was decently portioned and so flavorful. Loved the Vietnamese coffee with egg cream, shrimp omelette, and breakfast bowl. The place is a bit small, so it might get crowded quickly on the weekend, but we went right when they opened and had no issues. Definitely worth a visit!

A super cute small new restaurant, clean, tidy and well lit. I had the shrimp omelette and black coffee. Both were amazing. The omelette and the shrimp were perfectly cooked, well seasoned and flavorsome. The coffee was rich and bold without any bitterness. I arrived about 5 minutes before they opened and a line formed behind me before the doors opened. I'm thinking that this will be normal since the food exceeded expectations.

Got to visit this morning for their soft opening and I'm so happy to have them join the neighborhood! Excited to become a regular. I went with Michelle V. (hiii!) after a morning workout class and we were both ready to eat! Michelle got the dac biet waffles and a ca phe trung (egg cream topping) and I got the breakfast sandwich with a pork sausage. The waffles were the show stoppers with a burst of unique flavors with the pandan chewiness and the fish sauce bacon. That first bite was a perfect combo of sweet and savory for me. The breakfast sandwich was also really good and I especially loved the hint of aromatic basil I think or some other herb. It was juicy and I also just love anything with American cheese (yes call me basic). Loved the airy interiors with an open kitchen, deep green tiles, and beautiful ceramics by local maker Buon Ceramics. You order at the counter and grab available seating. They'll bus your table for ya. Congrats to Lisa, Kimmy, and Richard on this new joint venture and rooting so hard for you all!!

My boyfriend and I were able to snag a table right before we left for the airport on a Sunday morning. The food and service were fantastic. An employee recommended the dac biet waffle, which my boyfriend loved. There were so many great textures and flavors in this unique dish. We also got a shrimp omelet, egg coffee, and matcha latte. The shrimp omelet is such great comfort food and is a must try! The restaurant slowly picked up and was pretty packed before we left around 9AM. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Portland!
