Mar's Chinese Cuisine

We've been going here for years and years and it's the best chinese in Vancouver! Very fresh. We love the sesame beef, salt and pepper shrimp, and many others!

OK, full disclosure, we ordered from Uber Eats, so I am unable to speak to the ambiance or service. However, after eating the food I really have no desire to learn more. The pot stickers were full and looked delicious. Perfectly cooked, but bland, definitely lacking seasoning. Desperately needed the dipping sauce that was a touch to spicy and vinegary for my taste. The pork fried rice was dry, bland and lacking those delectable add ins like green onions, peas, egg, anything....The BBQ pork tasted more like left over teriyaki chicken minus the sauce, just weird. But who gets cocktail sauce with BBQ pork? Not me! There was no hot mustard, no ketchup and no sesame seeds. $40 bucks of blah....just say no and try somewhere else, I know I will from now on.

Great quick service... food was good... not great but a solid option. Can't go wrong here.

Everything was cold and chewy. Yuk, too many other good choices in east Vancouver. This place used to be good. Yuk!! go to McMenamin's next-door or sushi ninja instead.

So I'll start this off by saying I eat Chinese food maybe once a year. That being said when the craving hits I want some yummy food. This place was super close to my house so I figured I'd give it a try. First things first, calling to place the order was bizarre, I called and the gal was so short and rude after every item I got "ok, mmhmm, ok" just weird. We got pork fried rice, so bland and weirdly crunchy. Sweet and sour chicken and fried shrimp look IDENTICAL. We even called because I thought they had forgotten the chicken and the lady screamed at me that the chicken looks like the shrimp...ok ew. Bbq pork was sooo dry. The chow mein looked old (I didn't eat it) and the saddest most disappointing thing was the crab puffs, they were like soggy and sad. They were undercooked so the texture was disgusting. I'd say take your money elsewhere.

I've tried many times over 7 years. They're near-by, which is super convenient. Food is blah, and they're not flexible at all. The lady that usually "helps" me is fairly rude. Super awkward and not-good every time. Definitely done now. Hate to leave a one star. I'm not hard to please, but this place definitely is. Will never go back..

This was the worst Chinese food that I have ever eatenThe fried rice had no flavor. The egg foo yung was dry. It was disgusting

Food was great, only disappoint was the rice, it lacked flavor. We both got the 2#, next time we will order fried rice and get it fresh. We tried, sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken and the monthly special Lemon chicken. I Next time we will split It #3. The BBQ pork was different but good. We will be back, they let us sample anything that was on display. This is not a dine in restaurant.

Horribly rude and borderline racist. Watched them be nice to an Asian family but as I waited for my food (a white women) they were short rude and condescending to me, a man who placed a large order of over 100 dollars, and another family who made the mistake of simply asking too many questions?! Trust me. Stay away from this place they treat you like a burden.I'd give 0 stars for service and 2 stars for very average over priced food. So let's settle at 1 star.

Good food ate the other day thought it met expectations for the ratings. Friendly and efficient staff!
