Walking in, a soft spoken genuine welcoming.Decor is dated in a good way ~ well maintained furnishings, traditional elements, comfortably spaced seating. The aquarium ~ so clean, not usual to see in Asian restaurants. Interesting fish, especially the rare golden plecostomus!Bathroom ~ so clean and well kept. Again, not usual to see in Asian restaurants.Service was so warm and pleasant with poise. Gentle smiles throughout the meal.Food ~ excellent egg flower & hot & sour soup, seasoned just right. Mongolian Beef & General Tso's Chicken both tasty. Lower than average pricing the for quality made it taste even yummier!A new find in an old restaurant ;)

I don't eat at this place anymore because it gave me the worst food poisoning I've ever had.

We celebrated Chinese New Year here and had a wonderful experience! Thankfully, Portland doesn't get too crazy for the holiday, so the atmosphere was initially relaxed. Later, larger parties arrived, but the service remained attentive. The restaurant itself has a simple yet classic Chinese ambiance, and the staff were all dressed in festive red, which added a nice touch. We were a group of four and each ordered something different. I had the Garlic Eggplant which was served in yummy sauce. My mom had the mandarin chicken which she commented got an "A" in her book, and would order it again.Price-wise, it was reasonable , offering good value for the quality of food and service. If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Chinese dining experience in Portland, I highly recommend checking it out!

Still my favorite Chinese restaurant in PDX - the food is consistently delicious. My hubby, and I usually order: sizzling rice seafood soup, shrimp egg fu yung, special lo mein (Chicken, beef & shrimp), vegetable deluxe with shrimp and sometimes shrimp fried rice. This is a family run business of mostly ladies (sisters) who work the FOH and they are always friendly and really treat you like family. The ambiance is unpretentious, cozy and with a modern feel. Give them a try if you're still searching for Chinese dinning experience.

Loved this spot! The food was tasty and there wasn't a wait. The staff was always available and refilled as many times as I needed. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent. I would definitely pop into this spot again if I'm in the area.

Nice option in the neighborhood for American Chinese comfort food. We've done takeout and dined in as well and both times they took our allergy to certain ingredients seriously, and once they even called us back after our takeout order to confirm our allergens! We usually get their chicken lo mein, veggie fried rice, and one of their beef entrees, and so far everything has been pretty good. Their service is sooo friendly and we've really enjoyed our experiences eating here!

Best egg rolls in the PDX metro (real egg rolls instead of spring rolls!). We ordered their dinner special and selected twice cooked pork and sweet and sour chicken as our 2 mains. Both were delicious especially their twice cooked pork as well as their sweet and sour soup. Service was very friendly and restaurant was clean and appealing. I think I found my go to Chinese in PDX.

As Chinese-American (not proper Chinese!) food this was done well. Think elevated Panda Express. I found this place while looking for Hot and Sour Soup. It sufficed but I'll definitely be looking elsewhere to hit the spot. The General Tso's lunch special was decetly priced and had a nice cook and flavor. I was offered an add-on upcharge for brocolli instead of a whole dish. Service and decor were excellent.

Eating at Ling Garden is like going to your favorite Aunts house for the best Chinese dinner. The staff there are some of the most genuine human beings we've ever met and are always so welcoming and kind! We always come back for the dinner special which comes with soup, fried rice, a crab puff, a pork appetizer and an entree! This is by far the best deal in town and the quality of the food is unmatched! We are so happy we found Ling Garden and highly recommend it!
