Limelight Restaurant & Lounge

Oh man, I hate to give this review but I couldn't justify a higher rating. Came by on a beautiful sunny day and sat on their outdoor patio table. Our server was super fun and friendly. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my friend had the BLT. The food took so long to come out and the service had to stop by and let us know they were cooking my chicken fried steak so it would be just a bit longer. The food finally came out and my chicken fried steak tasted just how it looked - unappetizing. The piece of steak was thin, almost grey like, a bit stringy? I couldn't even finish it and my friend wouldn't take another bite of it. We told the server who understood but said sometimes people get mixed up with the meat being steak vs chicken based on the name (chicken fried steak). I know what a chicken fried steak is and this was not it. The server graciously took it off our bill which was nice. 3 stars for service and the BLT was pretty good, but this one is not on my return list unfortunately.

An excellent spot nestled in southeast Portland. We got the Caesar wrap and it was divine. I do not know why more places do not offer that. Everyone knows Atticus Sampleton rates places based if Vibes and the Vibes here were great. Excellent place to grab a bite and have a good drink

The Limelight is an aesthetically lacking dive bar. I've been here a few times, and each time, the tables have been dirty with no effort from the staff to clear or clean them. On my last visit, my friends and I waited at least 15 minutes for service, and then, I was brought the wrong drink once it finally arrived. The server also did not remove any of our empty glasses from our table. The drinks are stiff, but I'm not sure if it's worth the long wait and poor service.

The Limelight has a solid happy hour with a really great array of options. Service is speedy and the cocktails truly well done. So many house infused options. The atmosphere is comfortable and older but that just adds to its charm. Loving the outdoor seating when the sun shines! Parking can be a little tough to find but I promise it's worth it. Great spots nearby to keep the party going too.

Located in west Moreland neighborhood, decent bar drinks and food. We got to enjoy the outdoor seating and filled up real quick for lunch. Bartender was busting and doing everything and still super friendly. Did not go inside surprisingly..I hear it really pops at night. . Fun little stretch of area with restaurants and bars and even located next to the theater.

Food isn't bad but not great either. Service is really bad. I get people having a rough day but we've tried this place twice and it's been the same both times.

Gotta say for such a small hole in the wall our service was great our servers name was Karin she was really sweet and great at helping recommending a good drink and food definitely will be back especially if she is our server.

we cycled to the limelight yesterday for lunch with friends....we sat indoors on a chilly morning.....i had the 3 eggs build your own scramble with mushrooms, tomato, and spinach, and a salad....my partner had the veggie hash and one pancake...our friends had the cast iron scramble and coffee...the food was excellent, the ambience was fun, plus the staff was great.....

Tried the limelight several times over the past 6 months. Friends rave about it...but those friends are heavy drinkers where the food gives them an excuse to frequent more often. It's all about the drinks first. Food is average or below.

Cool atmosphere, great service, solid food we ordered burger, steak salad and soup, everything was amazing! And very nice service
