Leaky Roof

My wife and I love this place. Everytime we visit Portland we stop here for the fish and chips and the whiskey flights. We make it a point to attempt to discover the best fish and chips in every city we visit. Leaky Roof has the best fish and chips we've had in all our travels. (But we haven't been to England yet, so who know?) The service is always great and the ambiance is just about in line with what one might expect from a place named "Leaky Roof."

My Cheddar Smash Burger was perfectly cooked and had a delicious buttered bun. This place was like Cheers Bar, lots of locals, we were definitely not greeted as warmly . The service was okay. Husband had a pastrami sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. The sandwich was good but the fries needed a minute or two less in the fryer (not burnt, just overly cooked and dry). Local pub, relaxed vibe. I'm certain we'd be back if we lived nearby but we would not make a special trip to this pub otherwise.

What a fantastic restaurant and bar! The food was absolutely delicious, and the place had a wonderful local vibe--simple yet cozy. Not only was the food impressive, but the overall atmosphere was spot-on. There was one woman managing the front, serving as the hostess, bartender, and server, and she did a phenomenal job despite the place being packed. Handling everything on her own is no easy feat, but she remained patient and attentive. Plus, the food came out quickly, making for a great experience overall!

I've driven by here many times but never thought about going in until recently with a group of friends for lunch. The interior has this old-school cozy vibe to it. They have a good selection of whiskey. I had the reuben sandwich with a side of fries, which was ok. The service was friendly and attentive.

One of the best burgers in Portland. Arguably one of the best smash burgers I have ever had and the fries are seasoned perfectly with a nice light crisp. Jeremy was an excellent server. I will always come back here while visiting Portland.

Great food and nice servers. Very cute pub atmosphere too. I would go back and highly recommend.

You will not be disappointed. Literally everything was excellent from the service, to the blackberry margaritas, 90's Hip Hop playlist, to the quality and taste of the food. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Guinness Beef Stew, a Beef Burger, Mac and Cheese, and the Fish and Chips. If I lived in town, this place would be in my regular rotation of favorite places.

Solid place to go if you like traditional pub food. Service is very friendly & efficient as Lena checked in with me frequently. TIPS Sit near the Cozy fireplace on cold evenings & no more happy hour but check out the specials on the chalkboard by the bar

Wow. We popped in just before they got busy for lunch. Zero complaints. One super busy, fantastic person playing hostess, waiting tables and running the bar. They did a spectacular job as the lunch crowd began to grow. Food was amazing. A-MAZE-ING I say! I ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger with no changes from the menu. This burger was juicy, flavorful, and each item on their own had wonderful flavor, but when all eaten together, swoon worthy! The pub bun held up well as the juices increased with each bite. Hubby liked the Reuben and said you could tell the corned beef was fresh and was one of the best Reubens he's ever had-if not the best. The fries were pretty good as well with the right amount of crunch and seasonings. We did not try any house cocktails, just simply because we weren't in the mood today.

Ok food. Late brunch stop. Place was empty at Friday at 3pm. Enjoyed the chicken and waffle. But the chicken was a bit dry. The eggs Benedict was solid! Server was super nice. Ambiance was just ok.
