La Puerta PDX is within the park the carts area with other carts near by.I ended up getting "un pan con pollo" an it was delicious (9/10). It was also fairly quick to get it and you even get some sauces on the side.Within the area, there is plenty of seating! So I would definitely recommend checking it out. Great Salvadoran food with amazing service!

The best pupusas in Portland . We have tried others. Everything is flavorful. Good amount of filling, not too greasy. Red sauce is great, curtido also great, although you don't get much. Had to order extra $4 size. Tamal de elote is too mushy for us but cool they offer them. Go check them out!

$18 for 2 small pupusas and a drink is crazy. Tried the chorizo, flavor wasn't bad but it wasn't worth the wait. If you're looking for some really good pupusas go to Chepes around 170th and stark. 2x bigger and cheaper as well

Had a pupusa craving and glad that this food cart was open on a rainy weekend night! This food cart is located on Killingsworth food cart area and while it was raining there were a couple groups ahead of us already. They do make them fresh so I would recommend ordering ahead and coming for pick up or via delivery if you want to skip the wait time which would be 25+ mins when ordering at the cart. Staff here is friendly and the menu is pretty straightforward with tamales, pork, pupusas, and plaintains. However, there are multiple flavor combinations you can make with each pupusa as they let you do up to 3 fix ins per pupusas raning from jalapeno, chorizo, pork, beans, cheese, chicken, etc. This time around we did + Pork, beans, and cheese+ Beans, chorizo, and jalapeno (recommended) + Beans, chicken, and cheese + Beans and cheeseThinking back we should have ordered an item without beans as the flavors started to become pretty similar and would have been good to have a change in textures. As for the pupusas they were filled with a nice portion size of each of the filling combinations. The pupusa masa dough was thicker than what i'm normally used to so I would prefer a slightly thinner coating but each pupusa had a nice crisp before cutting into the melty goodness. They pair it with curtido and salsa which is my fave! We of course had to get a side of the plantains and they did not disappoint. Cooked well with a nice crisp without being overcooked. The side also comes with sour cream and black beans to go. All in all, good value for the portion sizes. Staff here is friendly so if you're craving come by to support this local biz!

Pupusas are a way to a person's heart! The Pupusas are La Puerta are customizable, you have a selection of upTo 3 ingredients (queso, cheese, spinach, mushroom, pork, etc.) and may add more for a small cost. I had the pupusas combo, which comes with 1 pupusa, plantains, a side of salad, side of beans, sauce, and cream for $9.00. You can tell that the owners of La Puerta enjoy serving their food. The La Puerta food truck is located in the Killingsworth Food Carts area. There is plenty of outdoor seating. I took mine to go and the food was packaged neatly. I would definitely come back for the comfort of delicious pupusas and plantains!

Delicious food! Unfortunately, you have to wait a little bit longer, I would probably call ahead of time to order. Gentleman working there is very nice! Will definitely go again!

Just found this Salvadorian food truck and I have to say I was very pleased to have found authentic Salvadorian food. Everything on the menu is all made from scratch and believe me I was impressed being that I'm from El Salvador and the fact I used to live in the Bay Area California where food is top notch. I had the Pupusas and Tamales which are a typical Salvadorian food and I can honestly say they were very delicious! I will be coming back to this place for sure! If you never have tried Pupusas I highly recommend them you won't be sorry. Being from Cali it's been hard to find good food in the PNW. GLAD I found this little Hidden Jem. Btw I usually don't post but this was an exception.

The customer service could've been better. After trying for 8 years and hoping to find them 1) open (business hours never matched) and 2) better service (I've been snubbed one too many times) this business is not for me.
