Amazing Lao food and drinks. Worth the wait. And yes, there will be a wait. Good/cheap/fast: pick two. This is not fast ;) Order here first, then wander around and check out the other carts. Stopped here on a whim and decided to try the namn kao vientiane (vegan style) because I'd never had it and the description "there can be only one!" Made me LOL. OMG, it was so worth it. I had to come back less that a week later for another round because it's just that good and I kept fantasizing about it long after the leftovers were gone. Portions are enormous. Two of us dug into this overflowing container and couldn't finish it in one sitting. Good news: it's just as good the next day as the easiest leftovers lunch! "Lemonade" is worth the price and wait also. It's chock full of fresh squeezed fruit and herbs, rich and sweet and almost overwhelming in flavor. A zero proof cocktail.

I got the Nam Kao Vientianne and I was amazed by this food! I've never had anything like this before. It contains crunchy rice mixed with chicken, peanuts, and aromatics, plated alongside various leaves that I don't know the name of to mix into or put the rice on top of- I think there's lettuce, mint, lemongrass, and some others. I really enjoyed trying this Laos dish! I will say that the cook time is a little long, but the portions are generous and the lady running the cart is very nice. This is located in Cartlandia, and I really enjoyed this option among the many different food carts

Part of Cartlandia, came here for some asian foodWhat I ate- Chicken stir fry with noodles: chicken was in the dry side. Nothing memorable about the noodles, but they were full of fresh veggies- Lao sausage: The sausage was really flavorful and yummy, but soooooo salty. I can normally forgo eating rice, but there was no way you could with these salty sausages. Despite the saltiness, I far preferred this than the chicken stir fry with noodles. Came with sticky ricePros:- The menu had a nice mix of asian foods- Price was not too bad- CC friendlyCons:- Long wait for the food to come out. The lone operator explained it would take a while - she was the only one there, and there were multiple orders. No problem, we just went to another cart for another snackWould I come again? Probably not

Ordered from Door Dash. Pad Thai with chicken came bland and dried out. Over a pound of noodles and 3 ounces of chicken. They laid the chicken on top, in search of faux abundance. Noodles all glommed together in a sad lump. They were out of veggie spring rolls, so subbed a pork spring roll. Very oily and burnt. Will not be ordering from here again!

Was looking around Cartlandia for a cheap pad see ew and decided to try here. I ordered a 1 star spicy pad see ew and it came out 7 minutes later. When I came home and ate I was surprised how much food I got for only 9$. I didn't finish the whole thing yet I was starving. The sauce was good but maybe the noodles could've been cut smaller.

Laotian food 10/10. All the low reviews are for Thai food from here. Just need to be aware the owner is Laotian. Stick to the Lao menu and it's outstanding.

Poor customer service. I walked by the food truck while a guy was standing at the window to go 2 trucks down to order food. I came back because I wanted to order 1 dish from them. She finally took his order & then walked away. So I just stood there waiting for her to come back when she knew I was standing there the whole time. Then I ordered & signed for my credit card while she went back to cooking. Now I'm waiting some more because she didn't give me back my credit card. I ended up getting my food before that guy. I don't know if it was a race thing because I'm Asian and he wasn't. Either way, we both waited for her longer than we should have. FYI: he got the same dish as me, I got chicken & he got tofu.

Why do all these people expect this Lao food cart to taste like Thai food? This is some good flavorful authentic Lao food (I'm Lao so I would know). If you think its "bland" its because all those Thai restaurants you're eating at put unhealthy shit in their food so you can enjoy it. A lot of Thai restaurants have food that originate from Laos. We hardly have ANY Lao restaurants/food places in California, none in my area. This cart literally tasted like the food we eat at home. Also, ring the bell for service, that's what it's there for. This was my favorite cart, I enjoyed talking to her. I will definitely be back. Kup Chai!

After doing a tour of Cartlandia, we settled on getting Kesone because we could use our fill of veggies for the day. I noticed that they have some Lao items and since I recently tried Lao cuisine, I thought this would give me some comparison. The veggies noodles we got were satisfying for that veggie craving, but I can't say it's the best I've ever had. The Lao sausage was really salty but based on what I've had in Lao food, that's expected. It's good when eaten with lettuce or rice. Pretty ample portion of the sausage too.Wait time was a little long because the kitchen was backed up, but this gave us time to go order and snack on other things from other trucks at Cartlandia. Honestly, of all the food trucks at this pod, this seemed to be one of the best and there are a TON of trucks that serve Asian food. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with Cartlandia since so many trucks were closed or the variety of foods seemed to be lacking compared to my past visits to other food cart pods. I'll probably stick to other pods but this is a good place to go in a pinch.

Extremely salty drunken noodles that was full of soggy and even saltier broccoli. Owner was rude as well. Overall, not a great place.
