Jojo comes up on a lot of PDX "Best of..." lists, and as a result, when I was looking to book a reservation and found no convenient time slots available, I figured the next best alternative would be to skip the BS and just hit up the food cart. Good choice.Reasonably priced for a premium burger in Portland, I went with the Mr. Onion Burger, which lived up to the name in every way possible: an assortment of awesome Alliums assembled under a bun, and tied together with a tasty, tangy Alabama white mustard. Very much approved! I'm now even more intrigued to return and try the Spicy Cheeseburger, which would normally have been my #1 pick, but I wanted to try something different.Of course, one can't eat at Jojo's without trying the Jojo's, right? And my visit was no exception: a small order of the Nashville Hots was a fantastic accompaniment, even if the red sauce and breading got absolutely everywhere! And even a small order is a sizeable portion, meaning I took half of it home with me, for later.Jojo came with a lot of hype and expectations, but they knocked it out of the park, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. And if you're like me, and you don't need any pretense to enjoy a classic burger at a reasonable price, don't bother reserving a table in NW; just head over to this cart on SE Powell.

Definitely a good chicken sandwich - and plenty filling. Very crispy yet still moist and tender. My husband got the spicy fried chicken sandwich and it had a single habanero pepper on it, which was much too spicy. He only took one bite and then took it out, but it kinda ruined his taste buds. The popcorn chicken was a bit too breaded for my taste, but I will say that we ordered a 10 piece, and we got way more than 10 pieces!I was impressed with the popcorn tofu. Very nice and crispy. We didn't actually order any JoJos... we already ordered more food than we could handle.

Went to the restaurant and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Was a beautiful day so we sat outdoors. There are QR codes that you can use to order but also staff available should you need to order something (like a drink special) or need help. The jojo apps are massive! Easily split between 4-5 people as an app or side. The chicken sandwich was moist and crunchy. And the burger melt was yum! Definitely recommend.I got a drink special and I'm a wimp so it was too strong for me but not my partner.

We were told by a friend to get these. Double fried as you order. Super crispy, hot, and nicely seasoned.

When it comes to fried chicken and cocktails this place is one of Portlands best, but it's namesake leaves something to be desired, when you say JoJo I want a classic deli style potato wedge, these are crispy on the outside but still pretty hard on the inside and it's likely because they are using jumbo potato's to make them. The service is always a 10 and the location of their food truck at John's is the perfect summer or fall outdoor vibe.

Dang, the hype was real for JoJo.I got the CBR and it's a straight 10/10The juiciest REALEST chicken you'll ever get on a fried chicken sandwich. They have amazing zesty ranch that they drenched the sandwich in. Love it!The buns were toasted to perfection yet also perfectly soft! What are you doing still reading this?? Go order some JoJo!!

Solid place for a JoJo, or some JojosThe chicken strips pair well the the Jojos--or the jojo--depending how many you are eating, I think.

Tried Jojo for the first time during lunch. My assumption was that they didn't have vegan food because there was a huge emphasis on Southern fried dishes. However, there is VEGAN MENU. Not just a few vegan options, but MANY vegan choices to choose from. I tried the vegan biscuit and gravy. I wasn't really impressed by the sauce or dryness of the biscuit, but it wasn't bad. It was lukewarm, but on the colder spectrum, which disappointed me. The southern tofu fried sandwich was delicious. Very crispy and delicious! I recommend to others. I think their best dish is their JOJO. Not a surprise right? It was very crispy and flavorful. A fresh batch of love. The fried chicken waffle was praised by my meat eating father. Service is quick. Very friendly staff. There is service fee: 20%. Love the ambiance. Super cute with plants.

We were not very impressed. The jojos were over seasoned, and there was not a lot of potato on the inside. The chicken was small & overcooked. I love jojos, and it's definitely about the potato, and the crust is best lightly breaded with a light dusting of seasoning. However, if you are looking for overdone, salty, greasy jojos, then this is your place.

The wait was very quick probably less than 10 minutes to get the food but the food itself was a let down. I had heard so many good things about this place I figured I had to try it and honestly it was overpriced and soggy. It had way too much sauce on it causing the buns to be these soft messes and it made eating the sandwich so difficult. Overall for this meal it shouldn't have been over $50 like it was I believe we have better fried chicken sandwiches in Portland than this. It is in a food truck area so there are other options available to choose from I may go back to try one of the other food trucks there. They had a lot of outdoor seating available but parking was a bit of a squeeze.
