What a great surprise! On the outside, it does not look like much, but the inside is remodeled and very clean. There are plenty of tables to dine inside. The staff were very kind.They make their own horchata in-house. They have a good selection of bottled beers.FANTASTIC nachos!!! Highly recommend! Their chips are fried tortillas. You can add toppings. They did not drench them with too much cheese so the chips did not get soggy. The toppings were evenly distributed. I have the asada nachos. The street tacos were also tasty and served on handmade tortillas. They have great salsa as well! One green and the other red. The red has more spice.

I was in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. The inside is very clean and decorated cute. The menu is clear and prices are on par with the standard. I decided to get one Pollo and one Asada taco. They are 2.50 each and come with a lime wedge, cilantro and onion. While I appreciate how fast my to go order was completed, the tacos themselves are really small. It's not hard to pack something with meat if it's in a little corn tortilla. The flavor of the meat was pretty good and the salsa was ok. I wouldn't come back based on the price to food ratio.

Food was great. Service was exceptional until they got slammed and were quickly overwhelmed. Ambiance is good once you get past the strip mall.We'll be back.

My wife and I tried this restaurant a few months ago and really liked it. We finally just now got a chance to come back. We love the food, the clean and simple atmosphere plus the great desserts. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful as well, which always makes the experience that much better. Love their house made chips and salsa. Both of their table sauces are good but we like the green the best. This place is really accommodating to requests so give it a try!!

Love this place! The interior is clean and welcoming, and the food is hot and fresh. Rita took care of us last night and she was FANTASTIC. She was so friendly and quick. And VERY accommodating to my family's (tbh pretty ridiculous) special requests. Thank you!

DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVERIn an older strip mall on Mcloughlin in Oak Grove sits J&R Mexican Food. A Quintessential hole in the wall place. Except it's not! It is cute inside, clean, with friendly and gracious service. Jose and Rachel make delicious, authentic, meals of generous portions. Their house made smoky salsa is the bomb. I had the burrito bowl with Al Pastor. Delish! So happy to find a good place in Milwaukie. Can't wait to try more of the menu! 5 stars.
